- I dragged this ole girl out to see what we can salvage. It took a pretty good hit when it was T-boned and gave it's life for the driver. What say you dear viewer? Can we get this STUCK b230 to fire off?

Wow. Those b230 don't stop to amaze me!😂. Thanks for Easter entertainment Dean! There is no such thing as too much pressure wash content!😂
Thank you Marcin! I will have to fire up the pressure washer.
De haru *ÄKTA* Svenskt kvalitet broder! 🤌👌🇸🇪
@@789costela That's what she said!
I'm impressed that the dent in the door bent the cowel but did not break the front windshield or indeed the door window. This is one of the reasons we love our Volvos.
btw I think you like wrestling with old seized engines but when you get them turning you loose interest. LOL
The windscreen and rear window broke sadly. I have other projects that require time and parts so I try not to keep this kind of car too long. I’ve gotten what I needed out of it so its ready for scrap
The b230s are probably one of the best engines ever built change my mind.
Definitely one of my favorites!
Reading that VIN plate.....you are such a nerd Dean......and god bless you for it 😂😂
I try! Useful information for someone in need!!
@@DeanofMachines I love watching things like this....the guy(i.e you) has a passion that other channels just can't replicate
Don't ever loose that passion
I had a 93 wagon. During the time i owned it the sticker on the door fell off. Thanks for more volvo fun.
Any time! If you looked closely, both drivers side doors were originally red.
You can also tell an 89 simply by the one year only steering wheel they came with that looks like it has an airbag but its just a massive cover.👌
Also true!
The seven-year-forearm hahaha. Also, excellent quick metal work getting that door to clear the fender.
Its a great piece of man meat!
A+ for perseverance, stamina, patience and professional technical commentary during this educational video.
I know so much more after this....., if that knowledge will help me in anything? doubtful but somehow happy and satisfied after the ordeal.
Thank's once again for sending a glimmer of hope for all of us with a 240 sitting on a trailer, it can as just seen in the video be a few fine calibrated adjustments needed between a true success or just a cold "Meh".
Cheers Dean
Technically “educational” with a touch of hopeful optimism!
Another way to quickly find the year of a 240 is to look at the emissions/tune up sticker on the drivers side shock tower and that has a year listed there.
You are right!
Not that it matters here, but hammer encouragement on the fuel pump will get them running.
I did try tapping it a bit but it did not help.
In Re: The Door - Don't force it, just use a bigger hammer!
It just needed a little adjustment
I’ve seen with Saabs that are equipped with a manual transmission. If you put the car in gear and push on it that will oftentimes free up the motor if it’s locked up. I’m pretty sure you can do the same with Volvos are pretty much any car as well. However, since your Volvo is equipped with an automatic transmission, I would say that your best bet is to spray some fucking oil into each of the cylinders and see if that will help in terms of getting the motor to free up.
Yep! We oiled it up and got it to run!
@@DeanofMachines awesome!
Thanks for mother great video dean!
Thank you once again!
Coronas, please. And the chance to see the yard.
Are you looking for a set of coronas?
What yard do you want to see?
I’ve grabbed two Coronas from a Pull-a-part. Trying to find two more.
And on the yard, I was just talking about seeing your Volvos in person. I’m in Atlanta.
@@SharifDurhams I can probably come up with two for you. I don't normally bring people to my home however we can work something out. Send me an email!
Some EU 240's don't havve stickers too ;) My 264 don't have it too (France car)
Interesting! I am fairly certain the doors are from a red car and someone probably removed the sticker
This poor old Volvo! But it wants to live! Old Volvos never die!
This is another one with a good color. It’s too bad it’s banana’d
@@DeanofMachines baaaannnnana
Volvos make the best demolition derby cars!
Derby cars or field car!!
great car great wheels... Old school
Coulda been great!!
And i was gonna purchase that door!😮
You still can my friend!
How is that dash? I need a decent one
I have a couple good ones. This might be a little compressed
A true winner 😎👍
Thats the spirit!
Oh come on, it was only $164 for the case of 12 lol
I mean, i guess if you math it out its not terrible. Make that 2 for 2 in unstuck motors!
@@DeanofMachines Hell yah borther!
Seven years at sea? Another salt?
Did my time! Veteran status.
Thank you for your service
@@rearwingnoire27 Thank you for the support!!
Why do we need this scrap metal?
Parts! Then to the scrap heap
IF you know so mutch about Volvos why dont you restore them and sens them to sweden whear they are cost a few 1000 dolkar
Great question! I need a better facility with more space for that
I want a hat Wagon
Which hat wagon do you want?
@@DeanofMachines the 245 wagon is it a stick
