    I have this going on with my diesel, this explains the reason for my engine light, and the the infrequent faint smell of diesel odor. 👍👍 thank you! Brilliant!

    Nice one!!! Proper procedure from start to finish. You made it look easy, but i suppose it is easy, when you know how to go about it.

      I've got a vauxhall insignia cdti 08 plate.. only brought it in may but so far had nothing but problems first went into limp mode at same time the dpf said it was full. Only buy looking on you tube I found that it was a slipt intercooler pipe so I temporary tape and it suddenly came out of limp mode and dpf warning came off. For a few weeks fine no problems. But I should of replaced that pipe asap coz I didn't it slipt again and went bk into limp mode a few times it flashed up dpf full but it never stayed on. I replaced pipe but it didn't come out of limp mode on its own like before.. then I heard a sound like air coming out. The pipe with I now believe to be is the exhaust pressure sensor hose it slipt at the front of the engine near the turbo.. car still starts but will replacing the pipe get it out of limp mode or does it need to be done on a diagnosis machine.. please help as I think the man who sold me the car new it had problems and I spent my saving on it hoping I'd have a good car to last me years not months...

    Good find Rob on the split hose and nice tester to verify the sensor's operation. I noticed that you're using the MaxiSys Pro and was wondering what you thought of its graphing feature. It appears from your video that it can't graph a curve as everything looks like a point to point graph where the lines are straight. That's what I hate about the DS708 and it appears that Autel didn't improve on the graphing in their higher end scanners. Take care Rob...

    • @OneAuto
      @OneAuto  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Terry. I love the Autel Maxisys. The comms from the cars computer isn't fast enough to create a curve on the graph hence it being blocky. You would have to scope the sensor to achieve that. But overall it's a great all rounder.

    I have a same problem on my 2006 astra 1.9cdti.
    P1901/Particulate Filter Pressure sensor High Differential pressure.
    When my car close to regeneration, the code will appear.And I Observed
    diagnostic computer, the differencial pressure was very high (800rpm about 5kpa).But after regeneration , the differencial pressure will down to -1kpa(at 800rpm)
    I cleaned the two hoses and tested the 4 injectors(in good condition,no leak).
    Can you give me some advice?Is dpf really blocked?
    Thank you.

    What did you do to force a regeneration? Can you install the new part without a car lift?

    • @OneAuto
      @OneAuto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because I fixed the problem and the DPF wasn’t too badly blocked it done it’s own passive regeneration during an extended road test. If they get too blocked they have to be cleaned first. You could do this without a lift but obviously it’s a struggle

    Other than giving a false reading, is the split pipe in any way detrimental to the engine ?

    • @OneAuto
      @OneAuto  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not to the engine mechanically but if not dealt with the Diesel particulate filter will block completely and will have to be professionally cleaned or replaced i.e big bucks

  • @NUFC2412
    @NUFC2412 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    No need to change the whole item. This could have been fixed at the fraction of the cost.
    I understand that the split hose cant be bought separate but it is only a low pressure hose which you could have bought really cheap to do exactly the same job

    • @OneAuto
      @OneAuto  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      But if you want the job doing right, do it right first time! No comebacks is the name of the game in this business

    Hi.
    Thanks for the detailed video really enjoyed it.
    I’ve got a similar code, on my 2009 Antara,
    P2453 - Particulate Filter Pressure sensor High Differential pressure. I’ve checked the hoses & I’ve got no leak and both my lines are fine. My next step is to order a new sensor over the weekend to see if it will help. Although my car has white smoke when when the engine is warm. That’s the only code stored, or I might be looking at turbo problem. Any suggestions I’d really appreciate it?

    • @OneAuto
      @OneAuto  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alvin Jenkins I’ve had another where the exhaust was blowing at the front flexible section and therefore not creating the pressures the ecu was expecting. New front flex section, cleared codes and all was well again

    • @Alvinjenkins61
      @Alvinjenkins61 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      One Auto, I Don’t think mine is leaking from the exhaust not 100% sure but I’ll have a look Over the weekend. My fault code doesn’t go away when I try clearing it. I’ll give you an update over the weekend on my findings. Thanks.

    • @Alvinjenkins61
      @Alvinjenkins61 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi guys. Turned out to be the turbo that was leaking oil going to the exhaust hence the white smoke, the catalytic had a deep hole caused by the heavy oil leak almost affected the dpf lucky me. Hope this helps anyone.

    dpf's in general are the ones that kept the diesel in the market, and also the ones that will bury it. unfortunately.

      I owned several cars along the years (all of them SH, all of them gasoline), and at some point I decided I wanted to switch to a diesel and bigger car (my daughter was born), being a Ford fan I purchased a Mondeo tourer 2.0 TDCI with dpf. That car has eaten my liver and a small fortune in 3 years. As a car it was big, nice, comfortable, relatively well garnished with gizmos, but every month it was going into limp mode due to soot accumulating in the turbo and the electronic actuator was triggering a fault (boost pressure blah blah), the regen for the dpf was triggering every 3 weeks (with all the delices that come along, don't shut it down, running like crap, etc) and at some point I decided enough was enough when the EGR failed and the only one I could find was a new OEM one (shared with jaguar), that cost me around 600 EUR. I sold it and switched to (oddly enough an older car) Honda Accord Tourer 2.0 ivtec automatic. I should have done it earlier. I am still a Ford fan, but ever since i drive a honda it gives me much more satisfaction when it just runs great and asks for almost nothing except regular maintenance.

    brilliant vid , justs goes to show not to play swaptronics until you have some actually evidence that its actually at fault , I find it annoying that Vauxhall cant just supply you with just the small section of rubber pipe that has failed but no its the whole lot at £180 which I would hazard a guess that was probably made for less than £30 !!

    • @OneAuto
