Today, Regina will be going over how to turn off the Reverse Automatic Braking when towing. We know that sometimes when driving your Subaru Outback, Forester, Ascent, Solterra, or Crosstrek, the Reverse Automatic Braking may become confusing to turn off or on as needed, and we are happy to tell you that it is as easy as pushing a button! Thank you so much Regina! This video helped me. When I reverse into my driveway. There is a patch of stone and the RAB slams on the brakes as I’m trying to quickly back into my drive! It gets frustrating. In the “car” section of the menu, there is no option to turn it off. Thanks again.

Thank you!! This was driving me FUCKING crazy. I live on a busy street and trying to back out of my driveway quickly was triggering the RAB. Can't tell how many f-bombs I dropped because of this annoying "feature".

My driveway is on an incline and if I back out too fast it automatically brakes which is extremely annoying

Same here. I’ve had it stop abruptly jerking everyone in the car more than once. Do you know of anyway to disable it permanently?

Thanks! I got so mad. I was off road and when I went to back up, I couldn’t because a weed was in my way!

I love that she says "leave the RAB off", like it's an option. You have to turn it off Every Time you put the car in reverse! I HATE THIS FEATURE!

It actually doesn’t tell you how to turn it off. Plus I’ve tried to do what the video says. Guess you can’t touch the button. You have to hold it.
