This is something I'm surprised we don't do in Australia... We've got some pretty bad ass rigs down here and any motorsport where lots of smoke is made you'll find bogans getting drunk
@@woos31 It's a great idea and I bet you could generate a surprising amount of revenue streaming them online... You're not going to see such a spectacle anywhere else! The only issue I see is the fact that pretty much all road train rated rigs are also working trucks and very, very expensive. We don't really have a scene of modded trucks that aren't core machines for a business and I can't imagine many owners being keen to risk damage to their most expensive assets for the fun of it. I also wonder how "safe" such shenanigans would be. Probably not very lol. I do have a bunch of mates who own and operate road trains though, so it's an idea I'll be pushing to see what people think. I would kill to see such madness.
I was curious looking at the rules for c class. One of the rules was that there be no smoke except when shifting, and that it must clear up by the time the turbo has spooled up. Do they mean entirely as in 0 smoke whatsoever, or are we talking more like the ones at 19:55 where there's some smoke, but nothing like the rigs at 28:30 for example that are making clouds. Anyone know how they make that determination?
Thank you for sharing these videos and events, never knew this was a thing! Would never see anything like this here in California lol! DEF need not apply. 😂 🌫️
It's worse than China to say that each country regulates environmental pollution because it's an advanced country, but it doesn't do a single piece of recycling and pollutes the air
Does anybody know what kind of egts these trucks run? I'm old school pre-computer. Back in the day the rule of thumb was 1350° all day above 1400° you start cracking the head and melting pistons. These guys have to be north of 2000° if I had to guess.
1400 is still the danger zone as far as I know. I only make 600 but I sit on hard pulls at 900-950 post turbo, so add a few hundred for real temps, and I back out of it, I will never hold it at 1000 for any real length of time. But these guys are running 2500rpm+ tunes moving a lot of air quickly, and the A class can run water injection to keep EGTs in check.
Spectators are feet from us here and some of them are every animated as you heard. Unfortunately nothing we can do about that on our end. We tried moving forward so they were less in the path of the microphone but didn't matter much. I'm with you I want to hear the trucks lol. We will work on a solution so it's better for next time.
I think hybrid Diesel with massive efficient Electric Brushless motor will definitely destroy them all. Not only getting rid of that massive amounts of black smoke (saving the earth from climate change) but also it will significantly create more efficiently and torque.
@@Tamarikankuro why? who those not like Diesel Detroit I6 Hybrid (DDIH) have no brain. its even more efficient than Turbocharged diesel engine!! also much cleaner because, not using alot of fuel, electric motor is handling stress from transmission!
@@HAIYANE9910 The black smoke is part of the fun, it screams raw power. Pushing mechanical engineering to the limits. If you watch close enough, you can identify each piston stroke, as the truck lifting its self off the ground. It's a beautiful thing.
