FOLKS - I have a question for you! Do you prefer adventure videos, VLOGS, or a combination of both (like this video)? Tell me what you like best. This channel if for YOU!!! Thanks for watching xoxo
Outdoors Allie I just enjoy your positive attitude and how hard you work for conservation.. You are truly a great role model. God bless you and Nick... Much respect and love
I love like all the videos but i prefer the hunting and fishing videos. You should try some fish catch and cook videos that would be cool. I like them all😊
You impress me. Your so energetic, your showing public water and woods ,and just having fun. I'm glad there is youth out there enjoying the outdoors. We see so many people who don't use these places or understand why they are there. Thank you for bringing us along on your journey. It helps me relive mine while am working
You can run your a/c it does not effect your transmission at all! it is ran from a belt drive system to a compressor to compress the gas (freon) to make it cold! It is it own system. now if you haven't kept up on your transmission fluid change with the filter. You may need to do that if the filter is clog or dirty it will not circulate the fluid to the other radiator if front and will not cool the fluid right. sounds like you guys are fine! i thought id share some advice with you! :)
if you run the heat in side of the truck it only helps the radiator for cooling the engine it only has antifreeze. The transmission has heavy oil fluid and has a slightly smaller cooling radiator it is a different system.
Here’s a serious picture reply, you did the right thing by not running the A/C. There are multiple coolers, the radiator and an A/C condenser all fighting for cool air, let the engine and transmission have it! If your trans temp is high and your not towing things are not going to end well, better get it checked. Good luck!
Hey Guys, I have a 2014 Ford F150 5.0 and tow my Toy Hauler (8K lbs) I regularly see my trans temps over 200 especially in stop and go traffic and while towing. The highest I have seen was about 225ish pulling my trailer up a long grades here in So Cal in 100+ temps.. but on long open road trips it's usually dead on at 195.. I wouldn't worry about it, the high speed fan should kick on when temps get higher than they should. I have read up on this and they say normal F150 Trans operating Temps are 175-225. Good luck and enjoy!
I'd like to say, Nick does some spectacular camera work and editing for these videos. He kinda takes a backseat and let's Allie work her magic in front of the lens. Awesome combination! You two have something really special. Keep those videos coming!
So I just came across your video. Glad to see you enjoying yourselves in Wyoming. Love the Bighorns and all the Wyoming mnts. So about your transmission. Im not sure that you need to turn off the AC to cool your transmission down but if you are towing then a transmission can certainly overheat. If your engine is not getting hot then keep your AC on. If you say that your transmission had too much fluid in it and it smells burnt, the two may or not be related. The fact that you smell ''burnt'' fluid is a bad thing. For what ever reason you over heated the transmission, (towing will do it) change the fluid (do not flush it) and get an Auxiliary Cooler setup for the transmission. Here is what I use and Im seriously glad I bought this one and installed it correctly. My situation with my outfit is slightly different than your situation but an overheated transmission is a dead one. Derale 13700 Electra-Cool Remote Cooler,Black From Amazon 3/8 Transmission Cooler Hose - 6AN High Pressure Fuel Line Braided Hose For Marine, Car, Engine System, Alcohol, Nitro, Fuel Transmission, Clutch, Power Steering, Oil and Hydraulic (10 FT) Derale 16763 Electric Fan Relay Wire Harness,Black It is basicly a small ''fan cooled radiator'' for cooling transmissions . I installed mine and used the proper installation gear. Proper cooling line, fittings and clamps etc. If your guy is mechanicly inclined or you are, then it should be a rather easy install. Mounting in the right vehicle area is important. I also installed a separate ''trans temperature'' gauge. You tube is a great resource for install directions Depending on your transmission make and model some hose connections might be different. There are many auxiliary after market trans coolers out there. This after much research was my choice. Good luck and keep coming back to Wyoming for fun ; )
Very nice Video Allie!!! It is so cool to see someone so sweet like you to enjoy the outdoors and always happy no matter what your doing!!!! Great videos love watching them all!!!
Going flyfishing for the first time this weekend. So excited and watched your videos to get an idea of what I'm in for. Do you have a video on what to wear and prepare for it?
Nick Allie so glad to meet you two in lander so awesome I was star struck thanks for talking and take a pic with me and my fiance so glad you got to experience our beautiful state even tho this is out flood season! thanks again for the awesome content!
I fly fished the Yellowstone River, nice cutthroat trout. Had to ease out of the river when a group of wild bull bison needed the spot I was in. They cross the river or wallow in the cold water, rolling and stuff. Always keep a tree between you and them. We did see a bull charge a pickup and it took the side view mirror off and dropped one side of front bumper...great place to fish though👍🍻
Another great video, really enjoyed watching. I love the fact that you are catching and releasing. Fantastic scenery. Storms just kind of follow you around. LOL. Be careful. I enjoyed this format but I will watch most anything.
As soon as you're able install a transmission fluid cooler and replace the transmission fluid. Will help with the fluid temp and prolong the life of the transmission especially since you're towing a camper trailer now across the country.
Enjoyed the video a lot. hard to choose between videos and vlogs I enjoy your videos I think the most. In your videos you show the scenery which is breathtaking, that most people will never get to see or enjoy love watching your trout fishing it's a lot of fun watching someone enjoy catching a fish as much as the two of you. And isn't it hard to believe that there's people in this world who never get to experience putting their hands on a while trout a wild turkey or a whitetail deer or an elk or get to enjoy the scenery that the two of you or getting to do living in North Carolina, I go trout fishing ...a lot ... How to get to enjoy deer, bear, turkey, does hunting a lot ,and can't imagine what I would do or how I would feel if it all just stopped.. I believe a lot of people like your TH-cam channel and others like it because you take them on an adventure that they don't have the opportunities or don't take the time to go and enjoy themselves
Depends on how many videos you do a week? I would say mix it up. More adventure than VLOGS. The fact that you have your partner with you is a big plus. He takes excellent shots of you fishing. Many dream of a life in the outdoors, few get to experience it. Getting to explore along with you is what I like. You enjoy it so much.
Would you have by chance driven through Midwest this afternoon? From your neck of the woods, thought maybe a chance path crossing. Good luck to the two of you and keep up the great work.
Very nice video. I enjoyed watching it. We are heading out July 26th. We have property in Star Valley Ranch. Several day fishing that area then up to Montana to fish the Yellowstone. You fish very well.
Leaving the AC off, will provide a few more hp for the engine, but I would suggest having the transmission fluid changed as soon as possible. Also, I assume you are using the tow mode.
Dayum girlie, ya gotz ta change yo turn signal oil! Great video, beautiful scenery! If you ever get the chance, try riding horseback out of Cody and into the thorough fare to fish for Yellowstone cutthroat!
Another awesome video! What a beautiful location. Watching you fly fish reminded me that when I was 8 or 10, I read a book from the library and thought I knew how to tie flies. I bet they were terrible, but I thought they were great at the time. 😆
Nice video. Trout are beautiful. Trout streams are beautiful. Wild country is beautiful. What is the most attractive thing in your videos? Your attitude . . . your pleasure in what you are doing.
If you get the chance, try the Little Blackfoot River in Montana~ my favorite small river to fish and plenty of camp sites along both Hwy 200 into Lincoln or Hwy 12 into Avon! Especially when all the big rivers are blown out~anyhow, great videos/VLOGs~keep em coming.
awesome video lol nice catches on the trout. been trying to catch a wild trout myself XD not an easy species to target lol i think the combination of vlog n adventure was good to watch.
i know this was a few years ago, but we are heading to south dakota, wyoming end of june, curious of how did you find places to boondock at that you were allowed to? and any streams you reccomend for fishing, thanks, i hit subscribe and the bell :)

I enjoy your videos, Allie. It's cool to see a young woman getting so much joy out of fly fishing (like I do). One thing I noticed is that you tend to grab the rod above the cork (handle) when there's a fish on. That's a natural tendency but please resist it! You could break your rod. A fly rod is designed to evenly distribute the pressure across the whole rod, and that works best when you hold it at the handle. When you hold it above that, the design principles get outa whack, and your shit could get snapped. Werd.
