But here in my home country, Colombia, we also have many regulations but colombian culture just don't care, everyone just do wherever they want and that is very frustating to many people here, that's why i find Germany interesting, knowing of course all the "quirks and features" of german culture :-)

Survival Blankets are usually a Mylar Film with a reflective coating applied. The coating reflects your body heat back towards you. They keep you surprisingly warm given how thin they are. That is why it can fold up so small. They are also pretty fragile so basically a one time use thing. Me, I keep a sleeping bag in the back of my vehicles during the winter along with some other goodies to survive an over night in sub zero temps.
the blanket is a foil gold coated on one silver coated on the other side, to either absorb or reflect sun light / body heat, to prevent hypothermia / overheating. it is mandatory in first aid kits by law in Germany and yes, it is effective... ps: still dont understand why Americans in general dont like station wagons - its simply the the best and most practical type of car. personally i'd go with the Audi RS6 Performance though!
Mylar would be just Polyethyleneterephtalate (PET) a colorless plastic. It is actually coated with a very thin gold layer. The thickness would be in the nm scale so the cost is negligible.

Hey Doug. The smaller speaker next to the bigger speaker on the door in the back seats are what is called "Tweeters" and for the bigger speaker obviously, the "bass". The tweeters are responsible for the high frequencies and the bass obviously the lower frequencies. Instead of having the tweeters on top of the bass speaker to make one speaker total, hence (2-way speakers) they are separated, therefore creating a MUCH richer sound experience. Just in case you were wondering. That's why the higher scale automakers, even newer cars today, we see more and more speakers being separated and placed all over the cars.. I love your videos man! The speaker next to the tweeter is a mid range speaker. The bass speaker/subwoofer is usually somewhere in the trunk, under the seats and/or near the bottom of the door panel.
For a wagon that expensive why aren’t the rear windows tinted??? I know Mercedes has a slight blue tint to the windows, but no excuse for a $120,000 wagon to not have the back windows with some factory tint.

I am about to pull the trigger on a E450 wagon. It drives so nicely, good handling and has tons of room I need for my two large dogs. Wagons are the best of all worlds. I wish I could afford this AMG wagon but I'll be happy with the E450 :) Great review BTW.
We bought a CPO '18 E400 wagon largely because our older English Mastiff and our young Newfoundland couldn't easily get up into the cargo area of our SUV. Sadly, the Mastiff passed away this fall, but the Newfie is much easier to load into the wagon. I love this car. The AMG version would be better, of course, but I can make do.

The best sun visors ever are in the 1995 Taurus SHO. You have the normal one you fold down (which has a dimmer switch for the drivers mirror light). Then, you have a small one so you can do the front and side action. But then, the small one has a slide out extender to block that tiny little gap in the corner where the two of them meet. Should be in every car. I know 95 SHO's are hard to find, but go check that out. You'll be blown away.

Yup, blanket is usually made from reflective mylar and works great, though you'll never get it folded back up again if you open it.
They are actually pretty easy to fold up decently, not quite as good but close.

That's true, i read a lot about Germany and their complex laws and regulations, and those can be a real pain in the ass. But here in my home country, Colombia, we also have many regulations but colombian culture just don't care, everyone just do wherever they want and that is very frustating to many people here, that's why i find Germany interesting, knowing of course all the "quirks and features" of german culture :-)

So, in contrast to Colombia, Germany surely is an "upgrade", if you know what I mean (dont't want to bash your home country - don't even know much about it^^ ). But in order to study here, this is undoubtedly a good choice. I do even know many South Americans that are studying in Darmstadt, Germany ;-)

That's why you can control those features from your door. And, you should also learn how speakers work, the larger one is the midbass or woofer, designed for voice and midrange frequencies, and the smaller one is the tweeter, made for more treble or higher frequency sounds.

Survival Blankets are usually a Mylar Film with a reflective coating applied. The coating reflects your body heat back towards you. They keep you surprisingly warm given how thin they are. That is why it can fold up so small. They are also pretty fragile so basically a one time use thing. Me, I keep a sleeping bag in the back of my vehicles during the winter along with some other goodies to survive an over night in sub zero temps.

Hey Doug. The smaller speaker next to the bigger speaker on the door in the back seats are what is called "Tweeters" and for the bigger speaker obviously, the "bass". The tweeters are responsible for the high frequencies and the bass obviously the lower frequencies. Instead of having the tweeters on top of the bass speaker to make one speaker total, hence (2-way speakers) they are separated, therefore creating a MUCH richer sound experience. Just in case you were wondering. That's why the higher scale automakers, even newer cars today, we see more and more speakers being separated and placed all over the cars.. I love your videos man! Well there is no speaker called "bass", a bass frequency speaker is called a "woofer"
The speaker next to the tweeter is a mid range speaker. The bass speaker/subwoofer is usually somewhere in the trunk, under the seats and/or near the bottom of the door panel.

I am about to pull the trigger on a E450 wagon. It drives so nicely, good handling and has tons of room I need for my two large dogs. Wagons are the best of all worlds. I wish I could afford this AMG wagon but I'll be happy with the E450 :) Great review BTW.
We bought a CPO '18 E400 wagon largely because our older English Mastiff and our young Newfoundland couldn't easily get up into the cargo area of our SUV. Sadly, the Mastiff passed away this fall, but the Newfie is much easier to load into the wagon. I love this car. The AMG version would be better, of course, but I can make do.

well to be fair, the e 63 was a rearwheel drive car in the past (up until the facelift of the w212). So it was able to drift in the past too.
I was a bit disappointed to see that Doug missed this feature... I mean, when it comes to "quirks and features", this might just be one of the coolest quirks/features on the car... need to go somewhere when it's snowing? AWD mode... want to smoke the tires and hoon it? RWD (a.k.a. "Drift") mode. This should be a feature on all AWD cars.
Im an intern at daimler R&D and a buddy of mine from design was very excited an showed me these diamond rear lights. from the far i was like so what they look pretty normal but as soon as you see it they look so amazing. it is one of those things that doesnt bother normal people but if you own the car its just really special.

The best sun visors ever are in the 1995 Taurus SHO. You have the normal one you fold down (which has a dimmer switch for the drivers mirror light). Then, you have a small one so you can do the front and side action. But then, the small one has a slide out extender to block that tiny little gap in the corner where the two of them meet. Should be in every car. I know 95 SHO's are hard to find, but go check that out. You'll be blown away.
