It's a very capable car. I actually drove it on track last year and was very impressed - the savage straight line performance and grip through the corners is amazing. The only thing is due to the weight, the tyres heat up pretty quickly, so you can only do so many laps.

He’s slightly monotone, is a normal person with no real personal flaws that would make him more interesting to watch like say Matt Maran who is like an awkward little girl when he gets excited although I don’t know how well his channel is doing these days either

Glad you mentioned the ride quality - this should not have been the case with an Airmatic setup. It also exacerbates the fact that the chassis is not quite stiff enough. Note that the AMG GT 4 door chassis is based on the E63, but it’s reinforced.
So the E class leads the designs for the new generation of mercs, now the 2020 a45/c 43 amgs draws inspiration from this, so If i want to know what a new model merc looks like ill just look at the latest e class

These as a wagon are the best all around cars for performance, luxury and utility. Once the depreciation hits and they do get into the $60-70K range in a few years as you stated they are very hard to beat in terms of value. Great review!
Haha this didn't age very well, but I'm not blaming you no one would have known, that 2022 AMGs would get cancelled, covid, supply issues. Anyway the wagons specifically, especially last year 2021, a 2020 wagon was going for no less then 120K and the face lifted 2021s were 140K+. I had a sedan and I regret not getting the wagon, I would have made money selling it in 2022.
They did a good job with the exterior and interior styling of this new generation. When it comes to BMW and MB I've been more on the BMW side, don't have one lol, but I've had the 335i coupe in my mind for years. And may still get one one day, but looking at the more recent BMW's it's ridiculous that almost nothing has changed interior wise or exterior for that matter. The exterior in my opinion, though unchanged for the most part, still has a classic look whereas the previous generation of MB of this category never looked good to me. That changed with this generation. If I could afford it I would get the C43 AMG Coupe over any 3 or 4 series BMW. That's if we're talking up to date cars. Still love 335i (i don't think i could deal with an M3). It just blew my mind that you could get a 2019 BMW and pull up next to someone with a 06 and have relatively the same interior. There's been very minor things changed but it's basically the same and these cars aren't cheap man. But the interior of the C43 AMG (with the exception of that huge bezel monitor) makes BMW look like a budget car.
Out of curiosity, the car as said in the video had winter tires on it, but the rims are indeed the 20 inch AMG rims right? Just want to confirm this since I have one coming in a month and would like to save money by just buying the tires from a third party to fit on the 20 inch AMG rims rather than buying 19 inch rims and tires from Mercedes which is very expensive lol
These are the worst seats for the E63. You also lose ventilation and massage features, and you pay more. MB is making a ton of margin on these sports seats.
This car’s design is bland whereas the F90 M5 is interesting to look at i.e flared arches, sharp angles and contours, lines etc just overall a better looking car. When it comes to the interior the E63 looks better
It’s a fast benz boy, i have one and i would never buy anything else. Except for next time i would get the air suspension. And yeah always aim for the comfortable seats with full package( heated/ ventilated , massage ..) not sporty ones..
Man I just don’t understand why people always hate on the upgraded brake system offerings of high end cars. Theses are very powerful and heavy cars that need braking systems to match. I drive an F80 M3 with the carbon ceramic brake option and I’ve never in my 3 years of driving it said man, I really wish I had shittier brakes. Smh
Roads in Michigan and New York, for that matter, suck. Roads in Florida much better for e63. I found e63 in comfort mode and panamera GTS sport suspension is very similar. Never find it "harsh" in Florida.
The easiest way to tell the difference (from the front) is that the c class only has 1 line of the daytime LED, the e class has 2 lines and the s class has 3

I like this E63 a lot, but I think the W212 looks & sounds better! It was when an E Class was an E Class! It didn't look like a big C Class or a shrunken S Class! It stood alone! Just a gorgeous piece of machinery!

Seats being that stiff are a no go for me. Especially for this type of car. Harsh ride for the daily driver? Misses the mark. I'd rather get a slightly older S class (2014+) and an M2. If I have to lease one car I'd rather get an X6M instead of this.

E63s sounds way better on the inside of the cabin M5 sounds more artificial on the inside. but honestly after hearing both on the outside the e63s didn’t rly sound that good the M5s exhaust made a better note in my opinion.
I have driven both of these cars bro. The only advantage the Mercedes has is the exhaust note and the extra torque. The f90 BMW looks better, has a quieter cabin, rides better, the seats are way more comfortable, steers better and the handling is quite a bit better too. Brakes are a bit stronger also. The interior is not as bling as the Mercedes but the materials used are of higher quality and are more solid to the touch. Also, the auto is so much smoother operating in the BMW also The 9 speed in the AMG is a cracking transmission when you want performance but driving it easy is a bit jerky. Still like both cars though

Regular seats don't effect the stiffness of the suspension. It might be a cushier seat but the car still rides really hard
