The model x is a minivan and not that great of a car. There are loads of practical fast cars too that are not battery powered toasters.

Metris is not supposed to be a family minivan. It's a transporter. But I know Doug had a review of it and treated it like a family minivan. There are differences in opinion :-).

Mercedes Benz sells the V class minivan, but I don't think it's available for sale in the US. The V class is much better than the Metris.

My parents bought one of these back in 2007. As someone who has actually had experience with one of these cars, I'm going to say that this thing is nothing like a minivan. It's fast, roomy, comfortable, good looking, high quality, unique, and fun. My brother and I were still in elementary school back then and we still argued about the back (even though it's roomy the middle row is much better.) However, 10 years later, my parents still have the car and I'm 6'1" and I still fit in the back row. This is an amazing car, the experience of it cannot compare to some garbage minivan.

I have a standard cls 55 kompressor AMG ....recently learned the engine / drivetrain & residuals were designed for at least 750 hp....unbreakable is an understatement....Germany rules I am afraid ...to quote Carroll Shelby ( GT40 LeMans fame )...."Thank god there isn`t a 48 hour race ...only Porsche would finish "....true today ...and I have had both ...AMG is still a marvel of engineering. :)
I love just how rare this car is. It truly makes a Chiron look like a Camry in terms of production numbers! I've never seen one in real life and I live in New Jersey in between two major metropolitan cities which shows just how rare it is. The fact that you would be the only person in the entire state to have one is also just incredible!

We have an 2008 R320 Diesel with 175,000km; it has been and still is great.
Doug, I have a 2008 R350 and love it. 150K miles on it. No problems. Liked your review of the R63 but you left out the most important fun fact.
Between the front cup holders is a factory oringinal beer bottle opener ! It just pulls out when you need it.

There's something about the R-class that has always intrigued me, definitely the best looking minivan out there but the R63 is on another level no doubt. Love the rarity factor you usually get with older AMGs but this one is relatively modern.
with 4 cylinder it's name was B-Class > Sports Tourer, enough room to stick the surfstuff from the (b)east in.

The 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK 55 AMG Coupe is also super rare, especially with the Sport "Avantgarde" package. Only 247 2005 CLK 55 Coupes were made for the US and 2005 was the CLK 55 Coupe's last year(The Cabriolet continued for 2006 before being discontinued).

I do auto transport here in the Midwest based out of missouri. Out of the 10,000 cars I’ve hauled over the past decade I was lucky enough to haul one of these back around 2011-2012 ish. It was white on beige and it was awesome!
