Was up on Kickstarter within a couple of minutes after launch. Was fully funded a few minutes after that. 575 backers by the end of the day. For 249 it’s a no-brainer....thanks for the review!
Just received my Pathfinder on Nov 14, 2021. It was worth the wait and definitely worth the money. It looks fantastic, and the bracelette is very comfortable.The Arabic numerals catch the light beautifully, and I find myself staring at it at every angle. The ghost date movement saved me a few bucks, and is such a minor irritant.Very happy with this purchase.
That’s an amazing amount of watch for such a low price. I think this will definitely scratch the Longines Spirit itch I’ve had for the past few months. Just the photos alone I’ve seen look like a $1000+ timepiece. It’s actually been quite hard trying to find an affordable vintage style field watch with a nice hight & lume filled applied Arabic numerals. Dive watches get most of the glory these days, but I think Axios may have just hit this one out of the park & could potentially be their be their most successful timepiece yet. Am really starting to like the direction this company headed.
It looks beautifully done! I like the one with the black dial. It gives artdeco vibes. The case mixed with brushed/polished well done. The price looks very reasonable too.
They got me the watch a few weeks ago and asked that I try to post it as close to 4/26 as possible. Seems like they were trying to a lot of reviews to drop right before the start of the Kickstarter.
That is such a good looking watch. Early bird price was OK, but that retail price is way too much for an NH35 and there's the ghost date movement which devalues it more in my opinion. As nice as this is, there are very good field watches at a more competitive price.
Like Dave said in the video, you can compare price-to-spec ratios, but in the end it is what a watch does for you. You can get a more affordable Seiko or Orient Defender, but I'd be willing to pay for this piece if I were in the market for another field watch (my Hamilton Khaki Field and Sinn 104 suffice for me).
Nice watch. NH-35's might be easier to come by than NH-38's, or possibly cheaper, or Axios could be harvesting the date discs for future projects or to sell on eBay?! Good vid. Keep at it!
I'm subscribed now. I have some money for a good 100m watch, but enough for a Rolex though I already have a Rolex that was passed down to me from my dad. I've got about a dozen watches, some good others just quite simple. The Axios Pathfinder looks quite interesting and tempting.
I packed a bunch of Kickstarter projects only one of which didn’t get off the ground… And I got my money back on that one of course. This one is Rowan establish brand headed up by the owner of Zelos...No risk here… The only risk is Falling into the rabbit hole of way too many watches! Cheers!
I really like this, minimal dial text, more brands should do this.....decent spec's, 12mm for an NH35 is great....I'm not a bracelet guy but works for me, cracking package....🏴⌚🏴⌚
Good video Dave. The question I have now is, should I have held off on backing the Mandala and waited for the Pathfinder? Very different watches to be sure, at slightly different price points. Has this become your best-new-micro-for-2021?
I still think the Mandala is the better of the two. This one's a little more affordable, and has a bit of a safer design that will probably sit well with more people. But the Mandala was something special I think.
I didn't notice much of an issue, but that is specifically an area they said they are going to change on the production model. The edges should be a little more rounded when it's released.

Nice but I just love my Defender 2s and got them both for less than $300

The rectangular links on the outer edges of the bracelet appear to have sharp corners/edges... Would that be a problem?
