    He's an actor all those flash backs were movies he played, however he never lived them. He was just an actor. He didn't have a kid or a wife or anything. He was just alone at the top.

    You never know, until it’s too late.

    • @MalhaIIa
      @MalhaIIa 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      you can most of the time. it is also often a mixed feeling situation where the smallest variation weigh heavily. meaning a person may be both angry and sad, but only really recognize the angry part. which is also the part the observer recognize. also people seem allergic to having ther feelings evaluated. im not surprised considering how cold humans are and how some of us really like to be judgmental upon that fact. so excuse me, but i think you are surrounded by cold people as you state what you do. really, you can't tell when someone close to you is happy or angry? underlying feelings, yes ffs we have all feelings in existence in us at all times, that doesn't mean they are in focus right now and if you are one of those who start asking negative questions to happy family and friends you should seek help. however the situation must always be evaluated, if you are found happy and partying the day after one of your close ones die it is only natural to address totally wrong feelings. excluding the chance of the close one to be good riddance as that may be the scenario, if that's so keep partying!

      @@quilfrey1139 I work at a mental health institute.
      Patients are only deep into withdrawals if they've had moments of their lives that are substantially worse or better to compare to eachother. and patients with depression tend to focus on negative times much more often than positive ones. But they know how negative those times are BECAUSE they had a positive experience in the first place. If someone's in a constantlly miserable experience but have no bliss to contrast it with they don't know how bad their situation is.

    Okay I think I understand what they're trying to say basically he was an actor named ed at the beginning you would think that they're showing his life step by step. When actually they're showing all the movies that he starred in as an actor. The reason for this is because at the end when you look on the walls you see posters of all the events he was involved in all those posters represent the movies that he starred in. I think what they're trying to say is that anyone can have a great life but deep down inside they're not happy. I think that's what this video was trying to show he had a great life but deep down inside he wasn't happy. So during the end he killed himself which is why you see some comments saying "This is reminds me of Robin Williams"

    So here's the rundown:
    There is one story being told, but leading you to think otherwise, by telling it backwards, and you think you're seeing this man grow up, and then fall apart from having such an extraordinary life. But he's not.
    You are led to believe this man has women, and adventure, and that he's seen many things and explored, but he hasn't. The movies are shown in order to allude to him leading a life of adventure and intrigue, and it leaves you wondering, why is he about to kill himself? When I first saw this, I had assumed, the scenes where he was about to kill himself, it was also a part of a movie (I was watching another upload of it and one key scene was removed for some reason, so I had thought that for a while), but it is his actual life. A stark contrast from the vibrancy of his fictional life. Even the war had been brighter than his mansion.
    He likely grew tiered of the monotony, as he wasn't even living his fictional lives out, it's all an act with smoke and mirrors, so he stopped. He was tired of living a life absent of adventure, he was tired of playing in the shoes of others and wanted to be more than that. I am more amazed at the means of telling this story than anything. Its so... dark and brooding, but lovely all at once...

      Yep, here's my take: Ed's life was really a actors career, and he never really had everything in the flash backs, so he was lonely, money may make you finacially stable but it dosen't buy you happiness and true sucess is how happy you are in life, he knew that it would be hard to get a girl who wasn't just with hi, for the fame and money, sadly many men and women Only get with cellebrities for the fame and money. Ed wanted a real family and to go on real adventures. At the end you see him dancing, he seems ti genuinely enjoy it, I think he loved to dance but that kind of thing died out and he was sad it did, I think he sold himself out by becomnig an actor and always regretted it.

    I have a different way of interpreting it; I think throughout the film you see all the "experiences" Ed went through, but in the end you find out the experiences were just movies he was in. Waiting to reveal they were just movies was to make you think he actually went through all this and let you see through Ed's point of view, which was him thinking he actually experienced all these things. The reason Ed was an actor (I think) wasn't to say movie actors are are depressed (though it's good to interpret it that way since it has an important message) it was using the movie/actor thing as a setup to someone who lives a fake life, hence movies are fake. Ed thought he lived a life full of experiences and had nothing else to exite him or live for. I kinda thought of this as an incentive to go and experience things with an open mind ready for new adventure instead of closing your mind off to the things that YOU THINK you wouldn't enjoy, cuz chances are you will enjoy them, you just need to try them; break that mental barier and step outside. If Ed broke that barrier maybe he would've actually went out and had an adventure like the ones in the movies and actually enjoyed the real experience. I'm sure this can apply to many things in life but I applied it to the interenet. It exposes us to so many things that we will probably never see, feel, touch, or experience; making some think they have already experienced it and become unitrested:closing there mind.
    Jesus that was a rambled mess. 😶

      I agree. We shouldn't shelter ourselves so much from the real world. Life is all about taking chances. I not saying you shouldn't make logical decisions in life, but you should try to take calculated risks. I believe if you shelter yourself too much and never try anything new, then you're wasting your life.

    • @apolonioromero4951
      @apolonioromero4951 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      By the way, that's exactly how Ed felt. He felt like he wasted his life being an actor. He never had real experiences. People don't care about him as person but look at him more as a "product". They think "If he stars in my movie, it will help it become a huge success in the box office."
      People don't love him for who he really is, but instead love him for his fame and fortune. So he also has a hard time finding someone to be with him.
      Ed realized that being famous isn't what it's all "cracked up to be". That life is doing whatever that makes you happier.
      I remember someone telling that "If you're not doing what makes you happy, then you're wasting your life."

    The cliche money doesn’t bring you happiness .
    Your happiness is your responsibility, of which I agree
    However saying Money doesn’t bring you happiness leaves out the other part, neither does been broker .
    I bet You’d rather be sad in your materialistic dreams than no dreams at all . Who’s to say not having money will give you happiness , or would your situations be better off ? It could not even be better , what if the misery is not from the money .
    Your happiness is your responsibility, focus on shit , shit grows
    Focus on happiness, happiness grows too 💯

    Now, obviously, I may be wrong, but here's my idea of what's being illustrated here:
    Ed is an actor, and all of the scenes we saw are images from various films he's starred in. He's been an actor for a long time, as we see him aging through the various roles. However, he's visibly miserable; the imagery suggests that he feels his life isn't worth much (drawn-out illustration of the suicide scene calling attention to the inevitability of death and easily-lost life). With the use of the Charlie Chaplin quote, I would say the idea is that if you aren't happy where you are, you won't be happy anywhere; the various scenes we see played out from his films (starry-eyed love, sexual indulgence, thrill-seeking, rebellion, danger, mystery) all correspond to real pursuits of fulfillment that often leave people unsatisfied and bitter once the excitement has passed. The fact that it turns out these were all scenes from movies suggests that Ed knows such pursuits are ultimately as meaningless as a work of fiction, and judging by some of the items in his dressing room, he may have followed some of them in vain at one point, leaving him jaded and depressed. In short, chasing experiences rather than substance will never bring you happiness.

      +Ivan Matias The animation looks excellent; as I mentioned, the subtle changes in hair and facial features allowed me to identify the order the movie scenes took place in before seeing the posters. I like the textures on many of the inanimate objects, such as the broken glass, and I love the lighting effects. Also, I appreciate the attention to detail; I noticed that when driving along, the old Cadillac's wheels were bouncing over individual stones.

      Muitos brasileiros têm na verdade, o frustrante é que nosso sistema é tão atrasado que só os países desenvolvidos têm estrutura pra aproveitar e liberar o máximo do potencial dessas pessoas. Se a equipe da Hype.cg se reservasse a projetos internos eles dificilmente ganhariam destaque porque infelizmente nossa cultura está enraizada no reconhecimento das habilidades daqueles que somente se encaixam no status quo: engenheiro, advogado, médico... e por aí vai. Não desmerecendo essas profissões, lógico, um sistema decente não se faz só de entretenimento! Mas não é agradável se ralar pra exceder a média em uma área determinada, só pra se ver limitado a ela por falta de investimento.
