Making an 8 tooth sprocket from a washer. This sprocket is made to fit #41 roller chain. The sprocket will be installed on a clutch for the building of a chainsaw bike.
I don't want to criticise anybody who wants to make a special sprocket but without the proper equipment and information it is a long winded and unneccesry operation when you can buy.tòothed sprockets flat and with a boss that be machined to your requirements.in all chain pitches .
Not everyone has access to such a machine. I know I don't. I made this and it was accurate enough for what I'm doing. Sometimes you just gotta work with what you got.

The roller dia is .305inches 7.75 mm so the hole should be no smaller than that >it is also possible to buy blanks with any number of teeth.

@@soufi7356 Hi an off the shelf blank costs about £2,00 and made of a steel which can be quench hardened.
@@johnhemming9721 You mean a sprocket like that? Well I've looked around and they certainly aren't that cheap around here

If your time is worth anything then this is NOT worth the work...TIME IS MONEY...AND sprockets are like dirt cheap!
