Its easier than that just take your chain count how many teeth you want the sprocket to have and measure the length of the chain and divide by pie 3.143 will give you the outside diameter of the sprocket
we can use the formula Pitch Diameter = Pitch/sin(180/number of teeth) or we can divide 18 parts of a circle, then determine the diameter by the pitch distance. check out my newer video.
Wrong… You should know your math is wrong if you think C(circumference)= 2pieR . Radius times whatever does not equal the exact circumference. No matter how you figure this it is wrong and you can tell by how your gears look
