    Bro I could tell you were respecting the road, the tires, the power, and the fact it was your first time up there with the car, but my god were you whippin it. The speed you were carrying through those corners was crazy and you're right, she screams. Sounds amazing. Congrats man.

    GT4’s are amazing. I got to drive one back in 2019 and I want one so bad. I agree with the buckets, they’re a must in GT cars. Ugh one day I would love to own a gt4

    Nice video. Thanks for taking the time to put it together. TH-cam recommended brought me here. Subbed! I am on the fence on a type r vs gt4. Yes different price points but I will get one of these in 3 months. Doing the Pecatl gt3 vs gt4 in July. I would be interested in a type r vs gt4 video if you have the time. Thanks and congratulations on your new car

      Ay thanks for watching snd subbing ! I definitely plan to do a comparison video of the 2 cars in the future. Both phenomenal in their own ways. They’re such different cars with different purposes, and as you mentioned, price points. Since you’re trying to choose 1 between the 2, What are the 3 things you’re most looking for in a car? And what will your primary uses for it be?

      @@PhyFK8 looking for my next track car. My first track car was an S14. Followed by a G35. And then a 996 base cab that I sold during the pandemic. Itching to get back into it. So first is track ability/handling. Second weekend/ Sunday morning spirited drives. No canyons here but rolling hills we have. Third. That smile that feeling you get every time you hop in from everything from interior to sound.

      @@CubanDre track specific I’d say the type R. Easier to enter and set up for track. Waayyyy less cost on consumables. Bullet proof reliability. and honestly every bit as capable with set up.
      Fun factor honestly the type R holds up. Not to mention practicality.
      Sound factor wise though, the GT4 wipes the floor. Type R 2 litre turbo cannot ever hope to hold a candle to the sound of an NA Porsche flat 6. The sound is my absolute favorite part of the GT4 and is the main reason I drive it on many days.

      @@PhyFK8thanks! Appreciate the responses. The type r definitely appeals to me in that regard. Definitely capable and every bit as fun. Bonus points for practicality. Then there is the GT4 with the same capabilities and fun factor. But the sound and xfactor. Before and after the Porsche experience I’ll rent/test drive a type R. Coupled with your thoughts and a couple other TH-camrs. I’ll get one of the two. Thanks again! Looking forward to the comparison and catch up on your past videos

      Likewise I appreciate the conversation. The beauty is there’s no wrong choice between the two, you’ll be happy either way. Excited for you, let me know what you end up going with when the time comes !

    Lovely, lovely car, but don't kid yourself, it makes barely any downforce, no matter the risers or not. It will drive just fine even without the wing, which is mostly cosmetic, especially on the road.

    • @PhyFK8
      @PhyFK8  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks for the compliment.
      I’m not kidding myself.
      I track my cars, you can see all that on the channel.
      RSNV data tested the risers. +20% downforce at 80MPH (most buttonwillow corners are even faster than this) and there is less drag with the risers.
      It’s fully functional and I’ll certainly find use with it since I do track my cars.
      The aesthetic improvement is the cherry on top 👌🏻

    • @flat6croc
      @flat6croc 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@PhyFK8 20% up on virtually nothing is still basically nothing. Hardly any road cars have significant downforce, it's mostly marketing. The only retail Porsche with truly significant downforce is the new 992 GT3 RS. The 981 GT4 has virtually none. Even with your tweaked wing, it won't even be making even 50kg of downforce across both axles at 80mph. It'll be more like 30kg at best. Basically nothing. That's the reality. A car like a 981 GT4 is better viewed as a car that doesn't generate net lift. So, yes, I am afraid you're kidding yourself if you think raising the rear wing a few inches turns a GT4 into a downforce car. It doesn't, not even close.

    • @PhyFK8
      @PhyFK8  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not saying it turns it into a downforce car, but added rear downforce on track is real. Adding a gurney flap alone on my fk8 gave me 3-5 more mph through high speed corners on track. Increased Downforce confirmed through RS future.
      I don’t expect GT3RS levels of downforce from my GT4, but the higher wing is giving more downforce, if even a little. This is an objective fact. If it gets me 2 more mph through high speed cornering on track, it works.
