i had the same thing happen to my lst, the reverse servo browned out and shifted to reverse at top speed... lets just say i saw sparks and metal shooting out and i needed a whole new transmission

I had the same issue.. I just decided to put hardened forward only steel gears... it eliminates that issue from happening again
Its unfortunate that Nitros dont have more power. They have a cool factor and are nostalgic for me anyway. They were hip when i was young. People laughed at the thought of an electric car vs nitro. But now they are getting revenge and then some. Nitro can compare to electric in anyway! And the simplicity of putting a new battery on and ripping. Vs constantly tuning and cleaning these nasty things. If u are a gear head. Ull love a nitro! However if u arent fascinated by the engineering that has went into making these engines. You will hate them and end up selling in a year or two.
I used this pipe for a while. Didn’t provide enough back pressure which sucked and had to run it crazy rich to keep temps down. Put the stock pipe back on.

i had the same problem twice with my transmission and i went through 2 reverse gears and all i did to fix it was gear grease red and tacky
Just getting back to Nitro after a 15 year layoff. In watching and reading comments, if you are still watching, I have a few questions. What brand/part number is the roll cage, I need 2 of them. Also when you got your T-maxx running did you find the lean condition, lack of power, and lack of pulse to push the fuel? Did you try the reverse gear grease trick? If so did it work for you? Thanks!
Literally just picked up my first tmaxx 3.3 I always wanted as a kid! i love it! and I didn't even realized it had a bunch of up grades too! but I've been off for about 15 years too my rc truggy I first got I still have but i didn't want to get it running yet so I bought the t maxx today for$ 250 cad!

I think that the revese is a part of the foward but ther is a shim that goes on to a gear that is connected to the reverse gear but i think it might have been pure bad luck
What is the part number for the exhaust gasket? I bought a used rdlogic dual exhaust for my revo and it doesn't have the gasket or spring.

Always go with forward only gears... My Revo 3.3 with reverse had issues within a week. (trans) my tmaxx forward only gears have has a ostm.21 and it's almost 2 years old. Forward only is way better for handling abuse. Imo
Hey good video. I also have the same set up with roll cage and have received my double rear exhaust, wondered if you have came up with a fix for connecting the rear bumper. As would rather damage a bumper than my new exhaust.. cheers

Ok my Question is what about performance with this pipe i've heard a lot of bad stuff about it mostly that it lacks back pressure.
And i really need some rear exhaust just for this estra room on the chassis(im making remote controlled ez start and need to fit battery somewhere).
Ev0ltion First of all, please don't put that heavy ass ez start battery on your already heavy ass Tmaxx. In fact if I were you I would remove the ez start altogether and put a pull start it. That's what I have on mine. Saves like 8 ounces and while the traxxas pull starts aren't super durable, they're more reliable than ez start. Plus a glow plug ignitor fits right in your pocket.
And second I would recommend saving up and try to find one called Tsais. I think they 2-3 times what the RD Logics cost. But I have read nothing but good reviews. I am one of the many who've had nothing but problems with mine since installing the RD Logics on my Tmaxx. To be fair, mine is the blue one that has single outlets on each side,. not the one in the video that has a dual outlet on each side. I also can't say for sure it's the pipe's fault. But with the traxxas tuned pipe re-installed and baseline needle settings it runs great. I will say it sounds bad-ass and it freed up chassis space. I run separate servos for the throttle and brake and did the dual steering servo mod. So I'm still trying to make it work. I will also say that I got it to run pretty good today for a tank and a half of fuel. I haven't torn the motor down since the beginning of last season and probably have 10 tanks through it. I'm gonna tear it down tonight and see how she looks.

Go to the rd logics and you will find the exhaust I have one in my revo and damn they are loud

Would this fit in a slayer pro
RC and stuff this specific kit is fot the tmaxx. They do sell a version for the revo. And I believe the revo and slayer share a similar set up so it may fit. This is just an educated guess. Ive never seen the slayer up close so i cant say for certain. I am going to upload a review of this product soon so you can see my take on it

I don't think the 3.3 tmaxx had Reverse

04 05 did have reverse n 2 speed trans
The first gen,4909 did...first 3.3 Maxx,but still used the short wheelbase and didn't have Revo Spec diffs.but did use the grey trans with reverse..the 4908/07 is the 3.3 without reverse,full Revo Spec diffs,etc and has the longer wheelbase

looking for power? this is the best way to lose it this is not a tuned pipe it's a pile of junk they make less then the stock aluminum traxxas pipe also run lean as hell you want a good power pipe get a THS and a 30-9 fuel don't wast your money here no ganes to be had
