    Hello! I can't find those same tool bars on either my word or powerpoint. How do I get to those when I open my file?

  • @riohbuff
    @riohbuff 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    If I crop an image into a circle, isn't it still a circle inside of a white box? In I then insert the circular image onto a white page, of course it won't show that it is in a white box. But if I insert it into a screen or page which is any color but white, won't the white area around the image which is part of the box show to the viewer? I hope I explained this question correctly.

    • @SharonSmith
      @SharonSmith  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! To make your image transparent (remove white background), after you crop it to a circle, click the image to select it, go to "Format" then click "Remove Background" and you may need to adjust the selection. Move and resize the image as needed. Ensure that the image format you are using supports transparency. Common formats that support transparency are PNG and GIF. When you save your image, use a format like PNG to retain the transparency information. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

    Excellent video. In Word 2019, I finally got my square image cropped to a circle but when I try to save the image it reverts back to a square. Do you know why this is happening? Thanks.

    I am in Microsoft Word office and I’m trying to print a 2 inch round photo I do not have aspect ratio under crop so anyway I did the sizing everything looked good on the screen for a 2 inch photo round and then when it printed out I only got parts of their head printed???! it did not print out their full faces like I could see on my computer screen.!!! Can you help me with that please!!!!!!

    • @SharonSmith
      @SharonSmith  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! It sounds like the issue might be related to the printing settings or the way the image is being scaled for printing. Here are some steps you can take to ensure that the round photo prints correctly:
      Check Printer Settings:
      Make sure that your printer settings are configured correctly. Sometimes, there might be options like "Fit to Page" or "Scale to Fit" that can affect how the image is printed. Ensure that these options are turned off, so the image maintains its original size.
      Print Preview:
      Before printing, use the Print Preview feature in Microsoft Word to see how the document will appear on paper. This can help you identify any scaling issues before printing.
      Image Resolution:
      Ensure that the resolution of the image is high enough for printing. Low-resolution images may not print clearly, especially when resized. Right-click on the image in Word, go to "Format Picture" or "Size and Position," and check the resolution settings.
      Use Shapes:
      Instead of relying on the crop tool, you can try inserting the photo into a shape. For a round photo, you can use a circle shape. This way, you have more control over the dimensions, and it might print more accurately.
      Insert a circle shape: Go to the "Insert" tab, choose "Shapes," and select the circle shape.
      Right-click on the shape, choose "Format Shape" or "Format Autoshape," and then insert your photo into the shape.
      Check Aspect Ratio:
      Even though you mentioned that you don't have the aspect ratio option under crop, you might want to double-check if there's an option to maintain the aspect ratio when resizing. It's essential to maintain the original aspect ratio to avoid distortion.
      Print from Another Program:
      If the issue persists, try printing the photo from a different program or application to see if the problem is specific to Microsoft Word.
      Update Printer Drivers:
      Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing issues.
      After making these adjustments, try printing the document again and see if the issue is resolved. If the problem persists, you may want to consult your printer's documentation or contact the printer manufacturer for further assistance. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching my videos!

    I give up. Will have to employ a graphic designer. I have tried Canva, which I pay for Luna pic, and now this. All I have is a square picture with a round image in it. I don't want a spare with a round image in it, I want a stand alone round image. How to save as a round image would have been useful

    I understand how to crop to a shape, but how do you modify the shape. For instance, you can crop to a triangle pointing up. How do you crop to a triangle pointing down without inverting the picture as well? Thanks!!

    • @SharonSmith
      @SharonSmith  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tracy - you can do that following these steps:
      1) Insert/draw your desired shape (like a triangle, arrow, etc.)
      2) Select the shape and right-click and select to open Format properties
      3) In the Format Picture - Shape Options - Fill area, select "Picture or texture fill"
      4) Under Picture Source, select Insert and then select the picture you want to fill the shape
      5) Scroll down and Uncheck the "Rotate with shape" box
      This will now allow you to rotate the shape without rotating the image inside. You can also adjust the offset of the image crop if needed under the Picture - Crop area. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
