Iran gave 72 hrs heads-up so that preparations for the defence could be made. Therefore it is logical to assume that it was a show of force rather than a pre-emptive strike. The Western allies of Israel unfortunately cannot in their minds fathom this as being what it was. If Bibi attacks Iran in retaliation this will be construed as almost an insult after the injury of the extrajudicial assassination of the tope generals and their military underlings in Syria...I would not want to be on the receiving end of a resolute Iran even though its capabilities are orders of magnitude less than those of Israel and clearly less sophisticated to boot. The reading of the 72 hour heads up, is exactly that: a show of force and a warning.

A more likely scenario is that it was a token effort on Iran's part to save face after Israel's strikes on their embassy, without causing enough damage to provoke an escalation of their ongoing conflict.

I , personally condemning both countries , but first Israel acted in violation of the Vienna convention , then Iran has the right to self-defence according to international Law under article 51 of the UN Charter . On April 3 , the UK , France and US blocked the UN Security Council from condemning and blaming Israel’s attack on Iran’s embassy compound in Syria , so I don’t see the reason why we shouldn’t properly investigate on this conflict before any condemnation on the ground , at the moment , Iran is acting in self-defence Like any other country should do .
