      Rigth on - although I'm probably not 100% accurate, it's about the closest I can play it... thanks for the watch and feedback! Alan

    I’ve heard this solo 1000 times but only really recently actually LISTENED to it when the band said they wanted to play it. I love the validated feelings I got when you looked into the camera and said “this is really hard”. Thanks for breaking it down so i have a prayer to get it close!

      Right on! so if you have any problems with understanding any of it, please let me know - I would be happy to step you through it. I used to play in a band where we did this track live and can attest that not only is it really hard to play, but playing it live can also have it's own pit falls... especially if the track is too fast...I'd really suggest making sure your band err's on the slow side. As a side note... since this instructional , I went back and did a complete re-creation of the track with a friend of mine and just released it. During this process, I noticed I was not playing some of the solo's exactly as I relearned it for the video recording... I think the video recording I have it much tighter than the instructional videos...here's the link: th-cam.com/video/1OudI3eX7GM/w-d-xo.html

    I think I need more explanation of the cricket effect. (Which you do beautifully by the way)

      OK - I will do a vid specifically on how to get the cricket effect amongst other variations of this technique. Probably in a week or two, so stay tuned!!! Thanks for watching and commenting.

      right on Bryan! Yeah, having songs on "loop" is a GOOD and BAD thing... for instance... Don't Tell Me you love me = GOOD.... Tip Tow Through The Tulips = BAD.... VERY BAD! lol... thanks for watching and especially the comments / conversation.

    thanks for the lesson. Can you tell us how to make the "warble" effect during the solo? I didn't catch on the video how it was done? Thanks

    • @ajlsoundwave
      @ajlsoundwave  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Steelhrt - the best way to get the "warble" is by ensuring your floyd or ibanez or equivalent type of bridge is in a "floating" state. i.e. it needs to be somewhat in the center of it's travel between up and down. Once you equalize the spring and string tension so that the bridge is truly floating (keep adjusting the spring claws in (tighter) or out (looser) so that you remain at the correct pitch and the bridge is level or floating in the center of it's travel. When you achieve this, any minor flick of the bar itself will produce the warble effect. So during the solo, as you are hitting the last phrase of BG's solo, you give the bar a few hits as your left hand frets the note.... I hope I'm explaining this, but if you need further info, hit me up and perhaps I can just do a quick video showing how to setup the tremelo and how to execute the technique. Hope this helps!

    Awesome! Please do a version of Dancing in the Moonlight in the Hendrix style of the Star Spangled Banner, with your guitar as the singer.

      Well Christian, I've been called many things before and Virtuoso has not been one of them - but I appreciate it and thank you! Cheers. 😀

    On the Gillis solo, what note are your hitting when the chord goes to an A?

    • @ajlsoundwave
      @ajlsoundwave  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      FF to about 7:17 where I do break this down a bit but I believe the starting note right on the A chord is a "B" (12th fret on the B string) which then turns into quite a few chromatic notes. See if that makes sense. Cheers.

    Brad is a great guitarist he had to be to fill the shoes of the late Randy Rhoads for ozzy ozbourne.

      I think he is even more impressive today as a player - I recently saw a clip of him and was blown away at how easy he makes it look...
