Like you, I lived in L.A. for ages and I have met tons of celebrities as well. And you’re right, they are just ordinary people that happen to work in the entertainment industry. I actually don’t have any embarrassing stories about interactions that I have had with celebrities in L.A., other cities, and countries around the world.

For Campus Crusade for Christ (not sure that was the actual name - so long ago), we had guests in our home two separate times from the CFL; also, I met Paul Henderson at a church event. As a child, I met Frank Mahovlich and Bob Baun when they officiated a roller hockey game (historoid - Bob Baun wasn't a great roller skater 😂). I also met Bobby Hull and went to the same High School as Darryl Sittler, who was maybe two years ahead of me. Might be some others (not all related to sports), but they don't jump immediately to mind. Oh and my Aunt shook hands with Pres. Lyndon Johnson when she was visiting our lovely southern neighbors 😁

My cat passed away yesterday after 10 years of us being together through illness, relationships, happiness, loneliness, good health, bad days, timeless memories, and the other half of my soul with kitty EDS by some weird turn of fate. I've been crying all morning. Seeing Lavender and you together immediately gave me a moment of tearlessness. Though short, it was a much needed break in tears definitely.
Do you also have EDS? Cause it isn't odd at all for pets to take on our illnesses to either show us something or as a way of helping us in some way. I am sorry for your loss though but know they are always around. Look for signs of your kitty!
I'm so sorry, I've gone through that as well. Treasure sweet memories of your fur baby and consider a "living memorial" of a new (NOT replacement!) cat...gift a lonely cat a home and love to honor your pet.
I’m a woman 24 almost 25 in July and I’m a big fan of yours Molly, I met you at the Samsung event in Toronto’s eaton centre in 2019 and it was amazing. You were so sweet, remembering my name from Twitter and giving me two hugs. I was excited and so happy to meet you, that was one of the best days of my life!
So I am visually impaired / legally blind and I used to work in a petshop that apparently quite a few celebrities came into regularly but I had no idea as I couldn’t see their faces - my co workers didn’t realize I never noticed who the people were when I was serving them and the whole time thought I was just reeeeally chill and didn’t get starstruck about it.. I didn’t know this was a thing that had been happening until one day a man came in with his dog looking for a red collar (I am completely colourblind, so the FEAR struck in) I was fumbling around trying to read the writing on the tags to see which ones were red and it took me FOREVER as I can’t see enough to read properly and i for whatever reason was ✨determined✨ that day to not ask for help which is silly but anyways I did eventually find a red collar for the poor guy and it was all fine, awkward but fine. Afterwards my manager said to me that’s the first time I’ve seen you starstruck!!! (clearly Not realizing the reason I was fumbling around was because he’d asked for something I couldn’t see) and I was like what are you talking about and it transpired that it was Aidan gillen who played little finger in game of thrones! I was a big fan of GOT at the time and *SPOILER ALERT* the episode where little finger meets his demise had literally JUST aired and I had watched it that week and didn’t even know it was him 🤣 I then afterwards heard countless stories from co workers of all the celebrities I had served / helped in the shop without even knowing!
-55 year old fat guy here that enjoys hearing what you say about people with disabilities, as i am a poor person that would do almost anything to assist a person with a disability. and just to make it clear I am disabled dues to neck and back problems , would love to hear about demi, thank you for all you do for the assistance with disability stuff you do

@@kellyn.1037 Me and my friend were at one of Taylor's concerts and her mom (Andrea) wanted to invite me and my friend to watch the show in a little VIP area so she sent her assistant up to get us. On the way down to the VIP bit, the assistant stopped and talked to another group so I thought they were also being invited to join her mom and that I was at the front of a long line of people. We get to Andrea and she gives me a hug and because it's loud and it's a concert, I turned my head to say thank you in her ear. She turned her head at the same time so I ended up with my lips on her ear 😂 And then I moved over so my friend could say hello to her and I didn't want to hold up all the people behind us so I walked away to watch the show and figured I'd speak to Andrea later. But there was no one else behind my friend and after Andrea said hello to her, apparently she'd started telling us about the VIP area and I'd just walked off 😖

I met Kirk Cameron about 15 years ago. I knew he hasn’t been A-list for a long long time so that shows my age. But I was star struck and I froze. He started talking me and I was just standing there with my mouth open. I couldn’t speak. Lol. My dad was with me and he just laughed and then started started talking to him. I was about 25 by the way. Kirk Cameron was the star of a show called “Growing Pains” in the 80’s and early 90’s. I had pics of him from “teen bop” magazine taped to my bedroom walls when I was a pre-teen.
I met Bob Mackie. He was doing a big fashion show in a large department store. I worked in the fine jewelry department. He had forgotten his wristwatch so I ended up selling him a watch.

My first international science presentation was in Athens during my PhD, and my supervisors were in the first and second row, basically in my eyeline. I get so nervous speaking, but I just kept looking at them to calm me. It also helped with my PhD viva presentation, I was basically faced opposite my main supervisor and had one colleague who helped me loads in my peripheral vision so I was so calm having my own cheerleaders in my line of vison!
I live in ct and several years ago I ran into Richard gere at a coffee shop. 1. He’s gorgeous. 2. He is such a kind personable man. He was polite and friendly to the whole staff. My jaw was hanging open. He smiled at me and I managed to choke out what a great fan I was etc. and I managed to choke out a request for an autograph. Which he did with a smile
I've met at least a few famous people in person (celebrity and TH-cam famous), but those encounters only lasted a few minutes. I can only dream of having a full conversation with someone I've met who's become successful as a celebrity or TH-camr, and just being able to hang out with them like it's normal.
Growing up illegally blind in Southern California and going to programs like the braille Institute and foundation for the junior blind, they were always getting celebrities to come make appearances because it was good PR for them to come hang out with the little blind kids, so I became so unfazed by celebrities. Many years later, it became part of my job to work with celebrities on occasion, so it worked out that I was unfazed by anyone famous and just acted like they were anyone else.
I have quite a few almost embarrassing/awkward celebrity encounters from the same tour you are talking about but only one big one that really stands out in my mind that involves the celebrity getting on the elevator with me at the hotel on event morning. I think if I were to meet Demi though I would have no chill or would at least have a hard time hiding it

Well, I am not 18-34 years old... LMBO! When I was about 10 years old I use to hang out in an antique store to avoid the doctor my mom worked for because he gave 3 shots for everything, and I have allergies. There was this older dude who would come into the shop with an old torn, paint dripped sweatshirt and jeans, and literally looked like a bum because of the way he dressed, and I would talk to him all the time. I knew him as "Steve" I believe... He was quite impressed with my knowledge of antique silver from Europe dating back to the 1600s and so. I should say, I grew up in Lake Tahoe, and my mom worked for the doctor to the stars in Tahoe back in the '70s. One day my dad came to get me, and the old guy who used to sit behind the cash register a lot shook my dad's hand and was bragging about how much I knew to my dad. My father was used to meeting famous people, so he was just normal and had a short conversation with the older man. Then we walked out of the shop, and after the door latched my dad asked me, "Do you know who that is?" Me, "No just some old guy named Steve who dresses like a bum and knows Ilene." My dad replied, "That is Liberace!" Me: No it isn't, Liberace dresses all fancy. LMAO thinking back! My dad was like, "only on stage, he dresses way down to blend in and not get noticed when he isn't working. He has a house up on the hill there, by Ilene and Otto's house. Can you imagine today if someone like Liberace was hanging around and talking to a little 9-year-old girl, what accusations would be flying around! He was a super nice guy and quite down-to-earth for being Liberace. I am sure I ran into other famous people while living there and my mom working for that doctor. We were never allowed to put famous people on pedestals, because when you put someone on a pedestal the easier it is for them to fall off that pedestal. The higher up they are on the pedestal the farther they have to fall.

I love these mini stories!!! It’s like we’re three friends (including mama B 💛) just hanging out. It feels so genuine and comfortable, although you always come across that away. You could talk about ANYTHING and I’d have a good time.
I met Mr T when I was a kid at the governors mansion in Oklahoma for an Easter egg hunt for the blind. We had beeper egg hunt and games and food. He was so nice! Then at the Oklahoma city bombing memorial I met President Clinton. I wasn't in the mind space to care that much but looking back it was nice. He said wonderful things and didn't rush out. He didn't make it seem like business. Nice man! I completely perplexed the staff at a local arena when Jay Z came to concert and I as an almost blind woman worked backstage security lol. I got to meet him and some of his friends that are semi famous now tho I can't remember who.

So, I first came across your channel like a year ago, and anyway in my school we do something called independent projects. The topic this time was to choose a person who has done something to improve the world and has had a positive impact on the world. I thought that that was you so anyway, I went on to research about your life and learned so much about you more than I would know from just watching your videos cuz remember I am fairly new here. So I made a poster board about you and wrote a speech about you and your life. I presented it to my whole class and they thought it was interesting and so awsome. I want you to never dought how amazing you are for a minute you have truly touched my heart with your amazingness and happiness, and positive energy, after all, you have been through. I got discriminated against when I wrote a check at Fryes , electronics, in the 90’s Get this, because I didn’t have a drivers license!!!! Yes, you heard it! I had my California I.D. but they wouldn’t accept it because it wasn’t a driver’s license. My poor daughter was so embarrassed because I made a big deal out of it due to the fact it was wrong.
I'm sure that Molly mentioned being denied a service because they wanted her driver's licence too, which she doesn't have for obvious reasons 😡 Ridiculous really - many people who aren't disabled don't have them either. Here in the UK I think you would basically have to carry your passport with you, and if you don't have that, then what? lol

Martin Sheen’s other son Emilio Estevez also seems like a very wonderful person. I personally have gotten to meet one of Jack Hayford’s granddaughters once. The other two famous people I have gotten to meet are Ron Luce and D.B. Sweeney. Both are really awesome down to Earth men. I really enjoyed getting to meet them. I’m a guy in my mid-thirties, who started following your channel due to your video about skiing.
LOL about the friends not saying your full name when they see you: I have a few friends now where its a running joke that when i walk into a room or they see me they literally call me by my FULL name and im married so they say "desera erika bailey maiden name Puebla?!" like theyre surprised im there. EVERY TIME hahaha it makes me smile :)

I have never met a celebrity but somehow whenever I am not with my parents and they go somewhere like NYC they bump into all sorts of celebs. The closest I have come to meeting a celebrity is seeing college basketball players around my hometown where college basketball might as well be a religion. I got to take a pic with one once and it made my day but I would love to meet a "real" celebrity one day
My friend Jocelyn is 4’11 and when I first met her, I thought she was 12 but at the time she was 22. She’s 32 now and she still looks wavy younger. I get it!

I knew him as "Steve" I believe... He was quite impressed with my knowledge of antique silver from Europe dating back to the 1600s and so. I should say, I grew up in Lake Tahoe, and my mom worked for the doctor to the stars in Tahoe back in the '70s. One day my dad came to get me, and the old guy who used to sit behind the cash register a lot shook my dad's hand and was bragging about how much I knew to my dad. My father was used to meeting famous people, so he was just normal and had a short conversation with the older man.
Then we walked out of the shop, and after the door latched my dad asked me, "Do you know who that is?"
Me, "No just some old guy named Steve who dresses like a bum and knows Ilene."
My dad replied, "That is Liberace!"
Me: No it isn't, Liberace dresses all fancy. LMAO thinking back!
My dad was like, "only on stage, he dresses way down to blend in and not get noticed when he isn't working. He has a house up on the hill there, by Ilene and Otto's house.
Can you imagine today if someone like Liberace was hanging around and talking to a little 9-year-old girl, what accusations would be flying around! He was a super nice guy and quite down-to-earth for being Liberace. I am sure I ran into other famous people while living there and my mom working for that doctor. We were never allowed to put famous people on pedestals, because when you put someone on a pedestal the easier it is for them to fall off that pedestal. The higher up they are on the pedestal the farther they have to fall.

I love these mini stories!!! It’s like we’re three friends (including mama B 💛) just hanging out. It feels so genuine and comfortable, although you always come across that away. You could talk about ANYTHING and I’d have a good time.

I met Mr T when I was a kid at the governors mansion in Oklahoma for an Easter egg hunt for the blind. We had beeper egg hunt and games and food. He was so nice! Then at the Oklahoma city bombing memorial I met President Clinton. I wasn't in the mind space to care that much but looking back it was nice. He said wonderful things and didn't rush out. He didn't make it seem like business. Nice man!
I completely perplexed the staff at a local arena when Jay Z came to concert and I as an almost blind woman worked backstage security lol. I got to meet him and some of his friends that are semi famous now tho I can't remember who.
That is hilarious how you describe walking into that room and saying, "Martin Sheen!" even though you had already met him. Hope he had a sense of humor about it.

So, I first came across your channel like a year ago, and anyway in my school we do something called independent projects. The topic this time was to choose a person who has done something to improve the world and has had a positive impact on the world. I thought that that was you so anyway, I went on to research about your life and learned so much about you more than I would know from just watching your videos cuz remember I am fairly new here. So I made a poster board about you and wrote a speech about you and your life. I presented it to my whole class and they thought it was interesting and so awsome. I got discriminated against when I wrote a check at Fryes , electronics, in the 90’s Get this, because I didn’t have a drivers license!!!! Yes, you heard it! I had my California I.D. but they wouldn’t accept it because it wasn’t a driver’s license. My poor daughter was so embarrassed because I made a big deal out of it due to the fact it was wrong.
I'm sure that Molly mentioned being denied a service because they wanted her driver's licence too, which she doesn't have for obvious reasons 😡 Ridiculous really - many people who aren't disabled don't have them either. Here in the UK I think you would basically have to carry your passport with you, and if you don't have that, then what? lol

The other two famous people I have gotten to meet are Ron Luce and D.B. Sweeney. Both are really awesome down to Earth men. I really enjoyed getting to meet them. I havent met many celebrities but when I met Claudio Sanchez from Coheed and Cambria I was super nervous lol. I met him at a book signing before a concert.

I have never met a celebrity but somehow whenever I am not with my parents and they go somewhere like NYC they bump into all sorts of celebs. The closest I have come to meeting a celebrity is seeing college basketball players around my hometown where college basketball might as well be a religion. I got to take a pic with one once and it made my day but I would love to meet a "real" celebrity one day
My friend Jocelyn is 4’11 and when I first met her, I thought she was 12 but at the time she was 22. She’s 32 now and she still looks wavy younger. I get it!
