I can only imagine that they were hoping the mechanic would take a look at it to diagnose it for free, but the mechanic said there would be a minimum fee or diagnostic charge. the fact that he just drives off tells me he was planning to get the free diagnostic, then get their mate to do the work.
@myopinion69420, I always tried to be a nice guy and help folks out, but I had to start charging a minimum. A big chunk of the reason was people who wanted a free diagnostic. (The worst one was when I was a mobile mechanic and a guy called me with a long list (2-3 hours work) and after I drove 10 miles, he only wanted a screw in the interior trim replaced. True story.)
AIR in one line caused ONE disc brake to grab/overheat. Several shops and 2 VW dealers failed to diag problem. Makes sense NOW, but 3 wheels were OK so "spongy" was not a symptom when cool. This is the 1st video segment.
💯 Forgetting to flush the transmission cooler and lines sounds like something easy to overlook. Especially if he was doing this in his driveway on jack stands in the middle of winter

Thousands more get Raptor DysFordia from the unreasonable expectations set by lift kits they see on TikTok and Instagram. We should normalize talking to your dealer or mechanic about these issues, not Raptor-shame these poor people.

Though you might want to try "selective editing" with a lawyer. If you don't tell them something, even if it's as obvious as the sun rising in the east, they aren't necessarily required to admit it in court.
They actually exist but I have never seen one for a silverado. I have personally only seen them for Jeep Wranglers and Toyota pickups and only for sections of frame not the entire thing

Tire plug "ropes" can fix a big hole if your use two or three of them just to get to a tireshop...but you might as well mount the spare for all that trouble.

Many harmonic balancers used to have a key to keep the balancer from rotating on the crankshaft. Of course, you still have to tighten (or replace and tighten) the bolt to the proper torque.
That's because when reused, they'll shear off before you reach the recommended torque! There are very few things more frustrating than spending a couple of days drilling out the centre of a broken bolt in the end of your crankshaft!

My papa (grandpa) once made his own tool out of a paint can/bottle opener and the threading of an old spark plug to realign the threads in my dad's go kart engine. That man can fix anything.
0:57 yea they needed a new bolt and needed to torque it down to an equivilant of like 300 ft lbs lmao its actually done with an angle toque gague if its the stock bolt.
I admit to "spray foam" repair on a 1990 Nissan Pathfinder. Wheelwell plasitc flares were loose & flapping around. Spray wash let dry & tape them inokace then backfill rust holes w foam. 😅😅 lasted a year or more afterwards. Sad thing ran like top 62k miles rusted away. Short in fuel pump wires & had towed. JA tow Company destroyed the steering box😢 hot wired fuel pump lines down side & baja thru woods😅 refill power steering was goot for a mile or two till it ran thru broken steering box
I actually had my front driver-side brake get stuck on my old Ford Tempo and it heated up so much a rubber boot around the area started melting and caught on fire. Thankfully two girls sitting on the street corner let me know while I was sitting at a red light and I pulled into a parking lot and used some bottled water I had just purchased to extinguish the flames. PSA: always carry water around with you for just such an emergency 🤣🤣🤣
None of this surprises me lol,I run the office at a shop and customers are the absolute worst,about 50% of them are either rude or stupid(sometimes both)

The customer who was very concerned that their Raptor might be smaller than other’s Raptors says a LOT about Raptor owners.
If you confuse the fuel gauge for the temp gauge, I don't think you should be driving a vehicle.
I actually had my front driver-side brake get stuck on my old Ford Tempo and it heated up so much a rubber boot around the area started melting and caught on fire. Thankfully two girls sitting on the street corner let me know while I was sitting at a red light and I pulled into a parking lot and used some bottled water I had just purchased to extinguish the flames. PSA: always carry water around with you for just such an emergency 🤣🤣🤣

None of this surprises me lol,I run the office at a shop and customers are the absolute worst,about 50% of them are either rude or stupid(sometimes both)
