  • Hello All, Welcome to my channel!
Texas is an amazing state that and it will definitely keep you coming back. Texas is the 2nd most populous state and the 2nd largest state in land area. When the say everything is bigger in Texas, they aren't lying. Many Texan residents don't want more people to move there because of how dense certain areas are becoming.
Texas is by no means perfect, but they have an absolutely amazing way of life they have built up over the decades. Texas is diverse, friendly, and is famous for having no income taxes. However, DO NOT look past the amount you'll have to pay in property taxes. It is insanely high in many populated areas. I personally wouldn't want to pay that much in taxes, but I think they use the tax dollars to expand roads, build great schools, and focus on public goods. So, how they have traditionally allocated their resources makes sense.
There are so many unique experiences you get in this state. Austin is a liberal college town, with great food, live entertainment, and is also the capitol city. Dallas is business-like, diverse, and also has some of the fastest growing suburbs because of the quality of life. El Paso is surprisingly safer, has a rich hispanic culture, and is one of the more affordable places to buy a home. Then, Fort Worth is the most politically balanced, friendly, and enjoys proximity to Dallas while being a bit more tame. Houston is the largest individual city in the state, has some amazing suburbs, but struggles with crime and natural disaster. San Antonio is warm, dry, and has some of the best cultural and tourist attractions. San Antonio attracts more visitors than any city in the state because of the weather, amusement parks, water parks, history, military presence and more.
Texas is a great place and I'd encourage anyone to check it out!

El Paso is underrated. It has most the good big city stuff but it's more chill, and although it's far from water, it has mountains and nice dry heat not humid hell like the rest of texas

El Paso really does look like an interesting place. I live in Arizona and personally I much prefer dry heat to humid climates as well. Are you from El Paso or somewhere else?

Washington has no state income tax either. There are a bunch of states that don't. Washington is nicer with better weather too. Prettier nature. Everything is better in Washington than Texas.

Hey, thanks for watching! I actually grew up in Washington and I agree it has a lot of positives as well. Low cost for utilities, low taxes, and more. Personally, I don’t like the lack of sun in Washington. That really affected me. But, I do like how sunny Texas is and I think the humidity might be tough for me to deal with in Texas. Are you from Washington too?

You are very wrong about border towns being dangerous. They tend to be among the safest in the nation. For example, El Paso has been one of the top 5 safest cities over 500k in the nation over the last 16 years by the FBI crime statistics.

Hey, thanks for watching. I have to be honest… It’s almost like you didn’t listen to the video when I repeated said how safe El Paso was. I said there are dangerous border towns that deal with gangs and drugs and others have peaceful, safe communities. I would challenge you to listen to the full video and see if you feel the same way. Take care!

Hey, thanks for sharing! I think you are right that many are safe. You have to think of my position though. Many people watch videos, maybe not all of them research these things for themselves. I would hate to speak with language that would indicate they are all safe when people should investigate if they intend to move there. Also, I think it is still good to know that places like Ciudad Juarez are close by because it has been a very dangerous place. Are you from Texas?

Hey, thanks for watching! What you are saying is fair. A lot of Texans don’t want other people moving to their state. I’d also say there are a lot of Texans who invite you to Church and are friendly as can be. Are you from Texas?
