Thank you for doing a video of this on your GK5 because this will definitely come in handy for me when it's time to upgrade. I really love how you clearly show which plugs go to with ports. I really appreciate all your work! Thank you!
Thank you for watching and your support! I try to include things that other videos may have skipped over or at least provide a different viewing angle.
I'm assuming you're referring to the gauge cluster clock? When I first installed the radio the gauge cluster clock was in a 24 hour format. Yes, you can adjust that back to a 12 hour format by going into the menus and settings.
@@Aijames You go into the settings on the new radio and adjust the clock from there. Both the new radio and gauge cluster clock should adjust accordingly. Has this been an issue with other users? This is the first I'm hearing about clock issues.
@@Scuba-D No. That is the VVT or VTC actuator failing. I would highly recommend getting that replaced as soon as possible. Parts and labor is about $350. I dunno man, a 9 out of 10 for me does not hang up at all. Wireless android auto would be nice so I don’t have to plug in a cord. Being in the industry and it being what I do for a living it’s hard to give it a 9 out of 10 because a 9 is damn near perfect. Another thing to notate for fit users . 2015-2017 are a completely different harness than 2018 and up so when purchasing do not fall for the 2014 and up lingo. They are not the same.
I agree. Not everyone may give it a 9 out of 10, but the radio was able to do everything that I was looking for. The radio is equipped with both wireless and wired android auto. You are correct. Even though the listings state 2014-2018, there are few differences in the newer Honda Fit radios. The listing with the correct year title should come with the appropriate wiring harness. As stated, it's always best to email the seller and ask for fitment confirmation.
Tattoos are very distinctive😎😎
Great idea to keep the fit “new”, thank for sharing m8

You're Welcome. Thank you for watching!
Que genial luce, a disfrutar amigo.
Muchas gracias mi amigo
Can you adjust the clock still? Because I've been looking at potential upgrading to one of these but the clock is stopping me

@@HondaFit4Adventuredoes it allow you to change it for daylight savings?
@@Aijames You would have to change it manually like just like you would on a normal radio.
@@HondaFit4Adventurethe gauge cluster one? How do you do that without the radio?

Thanks for the video, one question, have you done the valve adjustment, how many miles does your fit have now?
I currently have 124,500 miles on my Honda FIt.
It's had at least two valve adjustments, but they were done at a shop.
@HondaFit4Adventure does this refer to the rattle on start up that plagues the gk5 engine?
