The funniest thing about Matt Santos & Josh’s dynamic is that Josh is so used to being the one in the room with the swagger that he sometimes can’t keep up with Matt, the one guy who can out-swagger him.
Sometimes I wish I’d have grown up in Iowa or New Hampshire. The stranger you meet on the street who says they’re running for president might, in a year, may be living in The White House and, if you got a photo with them, you could say “I knew them back when they were just like the rest of us. And it’s during Iowa or New Hampshire that the campaigns are fun. Not too many handlers, not too many rules, decisions are made on the fly. It’s personal.
Can confirm. I had just started teaching at a tiny college in rural New Hampshire-Joe Biden was here in the run up to the 2020 election and he knew all the old-timers by name-asked them about their kids by name. Sounded like he had definitely been in their living rooms at some point in his career 😂. Most of the candidates came through that year. Not Trump though
That Snowy Road means you have entered the final phase of The West Wing on rewatches.
I've been on a binge of youtube shorts for the West Wing, I've now started seeing videos for the later seasons. This made me chuckle.
I'd give dang near anything to have a Bartlett or a Santos right about now!
It was fiction.
Sharp as a tack, Jack.@@jackolantern22
@@jackolantern22 Is saying pointless, irrelevant, obvious things what you do?
We vote with our pocketbooks, greed, hatreds, and prejudices. So, we elect people who reflect that. Not the best, the kindest, and loving amongst us.
Or even a Vinnick.

We need The West Wing in Italian streaming services, or at least in new DVD edition. Like if you want this!
New Hampshire, Ontario. :)
Looks so much like Dundas. Must be because the Canada border thing he was talking about.
Can cleary see a Canadian flag at 1:28 😆
Jake Peralta's dad and Amy Santiago's dad on a road trip.
I feel like the hand-drawn sign has some grassroots charm to it
Love the Canadian flag at 1:28 😆
That's a great spot 😅
I was with Dennis Kunich in Iowa when he first moved in

He should have been Secretary of Defense to President Vinick.
Did Trump or Biden ever actually do this?
They were already well known figures so no
Biden grew up doing this kind of campaigning. Probably as late as 2020. Not so much for the orange guy.

I'm sure Biden did similar things to this when he first ran for president in 1988.
Biden did in 1992 when I voted for him in the primary.
