Excellent and informative video. It's clear one could spend an awful lot on all this kit, and as a real pilot, one begins to wonder if there's a point where you might as well go and fly for real !
Another great video, Mark. While my set-up isn't in the 'great' range, it's certainly in the 'not too shabby' range. I'd be spending even more of my kids' inheritance on it if I could get it past the missus.
So Mark, SURPRISE!! After searching for joystick setups for helicopters, including yours, my MD500E flew like a drunk was in it. No matter how I setup the sensitivities...UNTIL, yesterday i chose md500e, then I can change weight settings BUT below that was "custimization". Well what a heli game changer!! With some slight tweeking I should be good soon!❤😅
That's an excellent overview of low to high cost flight sim options, cheers. Nice also, that you're getting to keep your review toys - if you're running out of room please let me know and I'll take stuff from you ;)

I worked for that company here in the states (Windsor Locks CT.) for 10 years as an NDT inspector. E2E2 - C-130 and DASH 7 blades and their 'barrels' (HUBS). QUESTION for you sir: I built my very first slight sim patterned after Mr. G-Lock with the 3 55" screens etc. BUT, what I would like to know is, which parameter in your CLS-60 causes the elevator to move when you bring up the RPM in the 172 ? I have a 172 HAWK XP mod with the 210 HP engine (Reims Rocket) and constant speed prop in my sim. I can NOT get the CLS to respond to the throttle even at full 2800 RPM at take off. Perhaps you have the answer? Appreciate your channel, and hopefully, you will have the answer to which parameters in the CLS-60 software I need to increase for that effect. Thank you ! 👍

I need a flight sim hardware for sim racers video. How to modify a race cockpit to accommodate generic flight sim controls for beginner flight sim use. What to get and how to easily swap controls in and out without lots of re-assembly (are there quick releases?)
At this point for you the next step up for immersion would be to actually fly a plane lol. What a fantastic informative video of the range of peripherals available.
I’m going to be adamant that the honeycomb yoke is the one item if only getting one. I think you could tie the vertical axis of the thumb hat to be the throttle. If getting a second item, the Charlie rudders truly help with realism. When I recently flew a real plane, I realized only twisting a joystick was a major mistake in my sim setup. The quest 3 qualifies as a decent VR visually. I still need to test out the longevity when plugged into the wall and transmitting data over 6e. Battery is only 2 hours
Did you try the flitesim ffb yoke on the h3 motion platform ? And does it add a layer of realism when both together? Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and experience through this channel!
@@Petiteconfiture yes I did. The main reason I didn’t mount it on the DOF was it felt a little too high when I tested it. I needed to cut to raise my chair.
I wonder about your equipment presentation. MSFS is a game! In fact it is completely sufficient to use Xbox, a CH Eclipse Yoke/throttle for $150, pedals from Logitech for $145 and a simple TV screen.
