This is great! Will you be doing a yoke, and rudder pedals config video as well? Really appreciate all you do! Makes it so easy and enjoyable to play the sim!
Awesome stuff Mark. You're officially the only person I go to when it comes to setting up my Bravo with various aircraft. Your 2020 vids were perfect, so I knew you'd get 2024 spot on. Looking forward to the jet profiles.
This is by far the best turorial on setting up the Bravo in MSFS 2024! I really appreciate your effort and determination. It's a shame that good quality documentation is not done by the manufacturers any more. It's done by enthusiasts like you. Thank you! I fiddled around quite a bit in the last few days and found out that indeed there are still so many bugs and inconsistencies between planes. I really like the new C208. But as a standard plane, it's probably dumbed down for the console crowd. Therefore the mixture instead of condition axis 😕
That badge when you have multiple inputs bound, cover over the button number! What dev or qa person thought that was the place to put it!! I hope they fix that, but not going to hold my breath.
Thanks Mark. These bindings tutorials are really useful. I’m looking forward to the one you have planned for the VelocityOne Flight controller which of course has both the vernier and lever controls on the throttle quadrant. I’ve already bound a few types of planes in MSFS 2024 based largely on your MSFS2020 tutorials, but it will be great to have your take on how to do it in MSFS 2024. I am actually quite a fan of the new system because once set up there will be no need to think about the correct profile to use after switching plane types, like we had to do with 2020.
Thank you so much for this video. I had been making some pitiful and unsuccessful attempts to set up profiles. Now, thanks to you, I have a course to follow. Tomorrow is Config Day. Looking forward to jets.
Mark, just got my honeycomb and so happy. Your video hear is excellent and a huge stepping stone to creating the cascading profiles. Thanks for sharing your experience and insights. Looking forward to the jet profiles. Keep these great videos coming !!!
Thanks again Mark, great help. I did some experimenting and noticed that with the toggle switches, assigning "on" and "off" makes the switches react significantly quicker in the sim than with the "set" command, just an observation 😉
I’ve experimented with all the reverse throttles and got no where. You’d think ‘throttle full backward’ would do the trick but it doesn’t even work. Thank you sir!
Thank you, Mark, for yet another top-notch tutorial! Your dedication and the help you’ve provided to the community over time are truly invaluable. We deeply appreciate all that you do ( Pierre from Belgium)
Mark, If you read the description to the right, you’ll see the difference between the two “PROPELLER IDLE” commands. The upper one is for ALL engines. The lower one is for Engine 1 only. Selecting the upper command will be problematic if you have multiple engines. Jump to 19:40 in the video and you’ll see difference.
What ALL yokes, especially for prop aeroplanes, need is a 'shaker'. Haptic device accepting signals from audio output. I have a base-shaker under my seat that is driven by a 30W amplifier. The second channel ( the other speaker ) goes to a 25W 2" diameter surface shaker screwed under the yoke. This does 2 things. Feeling of vibration. Provides a 'non-stick' movement of the axis travelways, enabling fluid movement of Pitch.
Thanks for this very well and clear explained Settings Video. You´ve got this control chaos in FS 24 sorted. I use the TM T.Flight Rudder as well, but the curves are not showing and after each change the Sim wants to make a new Profile. Would you do another Tutorial for setup the Rudders in FS 24 please. Greetings Captain
ooh! .just what i needed mark ... thanks spent an hour at the weekend setting up my bravo for the a2a comanche and the sim doesn't seem to save my profiles 😒
For the cessna 172 I had issues with the avionics switches on the bravo but i found a workaround by setting the switches to electrical bus 1/2 to avionics bus 1/2 respectively
Super useful video, sadly using this interface immediately shows the lack of validation from Asobo, this no Undo, Cancel functionality and the search action requires to be typed in multiple time.
excellent instruction. In my case none of the profiles followed to like-aircraft. When switching aircraft all profiles came up as "none". May be a bug or user error... not sure
one Propeller Idle is just named wrong, in the description you can read taht one is all propeller and the other propeller 1 "Move propeller for engine 1 to idle position"
Thank you Mark, your videos are really helpful especially for 2024 controls. After the work to put them together do you know where 2024 stores the control files so I can make a backup of them in case of problems requiring a reinstall or the like? Thanks, Jerry
Thumb up for this helpful video! Please can you confirm that light system doesen’t work on this Honeycomb Bravo? (Gear led, autopilot led ecc.) Cheers from Italy
Could you eventually make a video for a twin Turboprop. If I try to do a profile for it the Propeller Idle isn't there. I tried it on the Textron Aviation Beechcraft King Air 350i.
1st, Thank you for such a detailed explanation of the controller commands, as always a excellent tutorial. My problem: Under the Caravan propeller settings you show a joystick button controller assignment for Decrease Propeller 1 Pitch, I have nothing assigned and have looked back several times in the guide and see no reference to that particular function? Have I missed something? What controller should I assign the the function?
Thank you,Mark a great video again. It became very clear to me up to two bindings for a twin turbo. What about the "hold throttle reverse trust" and the "throttle reverse detent", what to with throttle two with them, do you have any idea about that. Or do i miss something?
Mark: As always, another very useful instructional video. I was doing fine following along until you got to the Caravan. Your directions upended my plan to just create the same profile and bindings I had for the Caravan in MSFS2020. So, how in the world did you find out about the new commands?!? I ask because, even though I can "borrow" what you did for the Caravan, and even adapt those for the some of the twin turboprops, now I have no clue on how to set up the TBM's and the PC-12 since they have rather unusual configurations. Also, have you ever tried to set up the new Cessna 408 Courier? I could never get the condition levers to work with either my Bravo, or even using 2020 keyboard commands assigned to the mixtures. I have no clue if I am doing something wrong, or its another "bug". Thanks again!
Thanks for your video and good advices as usual. I notice than your lights on the Bravo did not light up as usual. I have the same issue ! Any solutions ?
Same issues here, I played around with that spad.ext thingy and got the lights to work but really had no idea what I was doing or how I got them to work...
Hi Mark, that was an absolutely brilliant video, so professionally done and well thought out and extremely helpful. Do you think you may bring one out in the future for two engine and four engine jet aircraft possibly? Obviously these are very time-consuming to make, so maybe sometime in the future. Lastly, I was able to get my lights on the bravo TQ working in 2020, but haven’t managed to achieve that in 2024 as of yet, any ideas please? Thank you in advance. Andy.
I've got the alpha yoke and bravo quadrant, i can only adjust the heading for the autopilot by 10 degree increments. Saw a few old forum posts about it in MSFS2020 but i thought it had been resolved. Any guidance you could provide me would be greatly appreciated.
