Thank you so much for documenting and sharing this Labor of Love! So well done and congrats on such a gorgeous and functional result! 🙌 Can't wait to carry these in the shop!
The board turned out amazing and so cool to watch the process, Steve! Such a nice shape and the wide nose looks killer. Can't wait to see these cruisin the streets!
I haven’t skated nearly as much since I had my first kid in February but it was so refreshing to get this new vid notification from you. You got me back into skating via surfskate and I’ve built quite the quiver and added LDP boards and cruisers. It’s great being in my 30s and able to afford the hobby I barely kept up with as a kid.
Loved watching the construction process showing all the effort required to bring this deck to fruition. Shoutout to Liberty too on the great filming. Thanks team SL.
Fascinating process and a great looking end product. You’ve definitely got me interested in longer surfskate set up again. Good on you Steve. Keep up the great work.
Nice work! Rolling with your passion on this surf skate thing and I love it . Just got my first surf skate in the mail today . Carver cx longer wheel base set up . Mild to moderate hills in my area and was just craving more turning abilities to control speed easier. You had some wicked long runs on filmed ride . Looks like a blast . I will be ordering my bushings from you in support of the info I have received in your vids. I am intrigued by these monster boards .
Awesome deck. The ONLY thing I would consider changing, would be narrowing it to 10" wide but only in the interest of weight reduction. If you're fine with the weight as is, then go for it.
That’s really exciting!!! Can’t wait to try one of these out for myself! I get my Vintage Envy soon (it’s in St. Louis with my Aunt) I am building it according to your recommendation. P.s. everybody loves my Carver Apia Sting. It has been raining for a solid week here in Oklahoma and so when it dries out I will be taking it out and having some epic fun. P.s. hahahahaha I ordered upgrade Riptide Pivot cups and bushing… only to not order two kits of Bushings……. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha mistakes were made, I must be human. Have a great day
Haye 🤘 you have already tested the curfboard. Would you mind testing the new fishboard with the wedged risers? I am very curious if it makes a difference with curfboard ride
Have you tried Lucid grip products? It is the best solution for those DIY projects where you want to show off the natural wood grain, or painted graphics, that you don’t want to cover with grip tape.

After all those iterations you finally took matters into your own hands and brought this XL board to life. Bravo!
Steve, very nice creation.
Looking forward to trying one out.
The amount of work that went into this build is just amazing. Every ride should definitely bring a smile to your face. Great job!
Glad to see someone building something besides another workbench!
Impressive 🤩 Thank you for sharing the behind-the-scenes of this creation. A fine demonstration of the power of (Surfskate) Love 😊

It's a fantastic job! I would buy this deck from you as soon as it's ready for the delivery in Italy! Grateful for this job!

I've been looking to eventually get a longer board, so this gives me a reason to be patient.
This is going to be my first long board!
Nothing short of amazing. Great work, I bet it was a ton of fun to build!
Daaaam looks buttery! Looking forward to riding one!

*Woaaah, so awesome!*
🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽
Love it Steve. Looks amazing! Do you reckon a build like this would be possible without alot of the fancy equipment from the workshop?
No, not really. For sure not if you want any curvature and need a mold.
Nice work!

Have you tried Lucid grip products?

I have, but I didn't want it for this one.
Congrats Steve, do you think less than 11 plies could be an option for light riders (under 70kg) ?
