    One of the longest ride I have seen on a Surfskate and enjoyable to watch from start to finish. This deck looks like pure pleasure to ride.

    Your surf style is improved greatly bro. You should try a longboard next time you’re at the beach just start off on shoulder high stuff. You’ll find it way easier to drop in kale broccoli is the man you need to watch. He will profane all of the paddling out techniques, for you and other areas that you might be weak on, I think you’d enjoy it, bruv👍👍👍😎🤷🏻‍♂️

      @Rideables 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@TonyNietnagel in my case it's the rear rail adapter, I have 2 sets from 2020-21 and both used to produce metal against metal rattling. Front is silent and squeaky if not lubricated.

    Great setup! But do the Hamboards have any flexibility? Looks like it's a stiff peace of wood. I think the most fun pumping is a combination of the board rebound and leaning. I use the Waterborne adapters with my Loaded Vanguard Flex 2 and I'm completely happy with it.

    Looks like a vast improvement. How did you manage to get the larger truck hardware bolts of the hamboard to fit new trucks? The bolts on my classic are bigger than standard truck bolts which also means the holes in the board are bigger in diameter so I figure using smaller bolts will cause the truck to move around while skating

    Looks like so much fun. Been watching your channel and bought some parts off your site for my 2 carver boards. Trying to figure out what the optimal size is for a campus log cruiser with waterborne adapters. Any recommendations? Seems like the koastal drifter might be one of the easiest to get boards but I’m curious if 60” is overkill or if a board in the upper 40’s to mid 50s is just as good. What’s your favorite wheelbase so far for this style? Thanks!

  • @mr.j774
    @mr.j774 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    i was curious to see if you had tried out hamboards zero degree rear truck. supposedly it provides more forward thrust and makes it feel more like a typical surfskate. great build. that thing is wild

    • @UkSupskater
      @UkSupskater 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have on the back of my Supskate Enduro 60. That was paired with a new 55deg Hst on the front and it pumped really well on the front foot, LDP style as shown in the video.
      I haven't tried it on a shorter board yet but I have set my Hamboards Fish up with a 20deg rear 40deg front. The extra drive when pumping off the back foot like you would when really surfing is massive. The 40deg gives a tighter carve but the 20 takes more of the energy forwards into momentum.
      HST's are trucks designed to be surfed using surf technique, using the shoulders hips and legs to crank and drive, to emulate surfing on land rather than other systems that are designed to be ridden in a surf style. I don't get to the water much as surf spots where I live are inconsistent and poor, but using my Fish really helps maintain fitness and technique for when I get the chance to surf

    I bought a Hamboards Pinger last week. Beautiful board, top quality. As you said, pumping these giants is a struggle, even with the HST truck system, so I also ordered their Street Sweeper to see if paddling is my thing or not. I already made the Pinger move a little more smoothly by replacing the stock bearings with Bronson G3 ones. It's nice to know that I could eventually use the Waterborne adapters. One question: why didn't you stick with the larger wheels and went for a smaller diameter? Thanks for the video

    • @filipbonn6386
      @filipbonn6386 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Maybe smaller wheels are easier to pump?

    • @marcotalotta
      @marcotalotta 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@filipbonn6386or maybe to prevent wheel bite, since the Waterborne system allows the trucks to have way more range than the stock ones.

    Excuse me for commenting Is this processing possible with the same specifications for ham board fish?

  • @MrConfo

    Great customization Steve. Outside the big amount of space for cross stepping, did you find others "rider" advantages in comparison with the others big boards you've already adapted as surfskate ? In other word, was it just a "one shot fun session" or would you consider it as a keeper ? I would like to try a big board with a reactive flex (i guess this Hamboards has no flex, correct ?), which seems not esay to find.

    Dude, you should call this profaning Ham dreadful HST truck why don’t they use Waterbourne? I have asked them this question in person and the reply I received was they would not be prepared to consider looking at doing a model with water board trucks.!
