lol, yea I just using it for quick testing/diagnosis. Its bad from a windshield wiper stand point so I can use it to test every thing else.

I want to learn to install ecm pcm ect. Very important. I'm used to the old school type cars like Impala and Buick Electra ECT. Those didn't have computers. Yes, it depends on the computer type being tested. If this was a new car, I would have to get the other cable and simply plug into the box. Really handy when trying to avoid back probing circuits.

Everything on the inside to the outside works lights,ac,radio,horn whole 9 yards turns key to starting position…nothing totally quiet !!

Hello, thanks for the video. The issue with my car is that it will not start back up after a drive. I will have to wait at least 30 minutes for it to crank back over. I can start the car when it's cold but can't go in and out, on and off with convenience. I have replaced the ignition switch, the starter, the alternator, and got a battery test, everything in good condition from AutoZone. Aside from this, have cleaned all terminals and made contact points clean, cleaned MAF sensor and coolant is at right levels. Do you have any single possible idea of what this could be? I also ordered a crankshaft position sensor. Can you advise? Thank you.

03 dodge caravan fwd 3.3 ive pelaced 3 pcms and now its throwing p168 code witch is power lose to pcm, i cleared it with a snap on scanner and it went away n came back bats good altanator seems good ima check it. Ive fixed a few cut wires that where exsposed on injector harness plug end after the plug. Ima check for these cjs i have to zip tie the plugs on the pcm cus they dont lock im gonna check this. I have a hans book on the van. If it sits its fine then it trips. Its intermintent.

Very good video . Most of us don’t have subscription to these sites that can provide wiring diagrams on every model out there. Secondly what Scanner do you use? Do know if there are these break out boxes and or Cables available for other types of vehicles?

Yeah I’m subscribed. The diagram the mechanic showed me shows that there is no power from ignition to pcm or maybe the other way around. I’m not sure. But he told me that it points to pcm. No crank no start, but full power…2011 mustang 3.7 I already bought the pcm and is being programmed to my vin. But if I could return it and just replace the fuse box that would be great. Because once it gets to me I have to have the parameter reset done and the locksmith wants like $200 and I payed $400 for the pcm.

Do you know any devices/programs that can give you the ability to scan your vehicle (like the program you have) that someone like me can purchase? I believe I have a similar issue with my Jeep Liberty (miscommunication) that might require me exchanging my TIPM, but want to have the tools to be sure. Hoping to find out if the issue I have is battery related or TIPM related.

I have a question. I have a 2007 jeep wrangler Jk with 3.8 It has intermittent no crank issues. When this occurs I will turn the key to start and all the lights on the dash goes out. I have changed relays and still having this issue. I did remove the 20 amp fuse for the siren in the TPIM and waited a couple of minutes and it did start back. This usually occurs after the engine has been running for awhile especially when idling around in the woods on trails. Is this an ignition switch issue.
What kind of scanner did you use? Having the same problem, just went dead completely while driving. No crank, no start, but have power from battery for dashlights and key in dinging.

Internal open circuit. No I did not take it apart. We a shop, we dont have time for that. Thats something I can do on my spare time

@@rockymanify well the problem its only good for a certain make and model of cars, dealerships get them direct from Chrysler. To buy them would probably too expensive.
ding ding ding. But the good part about it is the modules and connectors close to the same for about a 6 year increment. The newer cars have a different model which mean I would have to plug in a different cable to the box. No need to back probe any circuits.
@@OnlineMechanicTips JT those videos are so informative. But my absolute favorite videos are when you talk about how the dealership handles certain repairs (generally speaking). I (like most customers) like knowing what to expect if or when they need to take their car to the dealer...your live stream is great for that as well. Time well spent with you JT!
Hit eBay if you're serious and see if anyone's selling them and if the price is good to you. I bought a medium priced Autel everything car scanner for the extra systems coverage like ABS and airbags. You can spend thousands to get a pro level scanner that can do everything, or a dealer level one for your car. Mine actually can read all the systems computers my Charger has but not sure if it can do any programming but is handy to make sure each one has no issues now or stored error codes and it can clear them. JT uses a dealer level setup that hooks into a laptop and gives that awesome display of every system the car has, issues, and available updates that can be uploaded into the computers.
So he knew the tipm was offline then started troubleshooting why from there. The spare used one didn't have the problem the original one had that was probably broken internally somehow causing the no power problem. It always pays to have known good typical failure parts around for issues like this.
Is it possible to cause a short while probing the o2 sensor connection with a multimeter? My 2015 Nissan Versa threw a UO100 code and won't start all of a sudden.
My Chevy impala 07 has a no crank no start but the starter is good has a new bcm and anti theft module and a new battery with a new bcm fuse that had blown and it still won’t start any information or would this work on my impala?

Hey how's it going man? Since I had a rebuilt engine put in my Volkswagen Corrado SLC. I have a crank no start/ no spark issue vcds software says that there's no communication with the ECU.

So Im getting no power nor ground towards the fuse that powers the fuel relay. Would it be wise to change the TIPM? Do the TIPM actually gives ground/power supply to the motor installed in the fuel pump, or does the motor gives ground/power supply to the TIPM? Even though I may not have checked if the fuel relay is good, I still know I'm at a right peek, because every fuse, and every wires connected gives me some kind of ground/power...

(update) It Wasn't the TIPM. I had located some wires that got burnt that was connected to a Delphi connector which fed from the fuel line, towards what looks like both the alternator, and distributor. So I purchased a new Delphi connector and installed it, but - still no start.... So I'm guessing either the power transistor got burned out, or the cam sensor. So, the next thing is to wait for my distributor to come in, and see what happens. Pray for me....

lol, man that thing has save me so much time with diagnosis on a lot of cars.. I would have had to verify connection between the TIPM connector to the PCM and all those circuits if I didnt have a spare TIPM. The flip side of that is some may have wanted me to do just that in the video. But I had to hurry and get it back to my renter.

So I recently got an Aftermarket radio and speakers installed in my 08 VW R32. The car ran and everything was fine until the install. I have a U0100 Code & a P0684 Code and my car won't start or stay running. Any suggestions or ideas what it maybe?

I had a question just wanted to know did that vehicle have a no crank no start ? Mine just stopped on me had a mechanic work on my wheel studs and when he touched my pcm my alarm went off, he use my tipm to shut it off he was suppose to undo the battery. 2 days later it shut down with electric like no crank no start

@@kendallscott9256 O wow, My guy the PCM is in front of the driver side front wheel area, you cant exactly touch that. If you have a no crank issue and you certain its not battery connection but your security light on, you need to get that van scan to see whats in the SKIM module

Man, I could use some Guru help here, this one is Insane. 2012 Ford Edge it's my daughters, so here's what happened the Heater went out which was not an issue to resolve. However, I decided to simply check the fuses while I was there.
Here's where it gets crazy so after simply checking the fuses and relays the car does not start. So I checked all the fuses and all the relays I cleaned all of the fuse box just to make sure they were making a connection.
The car turns on well I should say the ignition, but the engine simply will not start, gave me the 0U100 error code. So I checked the harnesses to make sure they were connected good etc. The bloody thing still does not start.
I can feel the relays kick as I've said all fuses are good and I never touched anything prior to starting.
I don't believe the PCM is bad however I believe I am missing something from the relays or fuse box, I've looked at all the diagrams and blah blah blah.. Clearly that did not work or I would not be hunting videos.
BTW your videos rock have never really had to ask or look for help BUT I'm glad I find people that clearly know more than myself.
