Once the bars are removed, do you need to cover up the spot
where the bolts attach?
Yes. They make plastic covers to protect from the weather. Look at the gold crv they came off of. They had the covers

Thanks, after installing its good to drip some motor oil into the allen bolts hole, so they dont seize.

We’re those both SE models ? and are the cross bars adjustable. Like on my buddy 4Runner you can make them closer or farther
Yes both were SE these were not adjustable from what I know

Ambient noise was distracting and...WD 40 isn't a lubricant. Use a penetrating fluid, ie: Free.
I can tell your a car place changing the roof racks to a lower mileage vehicle to get more money. Always after the 💲💲💲
