"I've Been Waiting 30 Years For This" I agree man. Too bad im 47 already and i just don't have the inner drive anymore to go all the way with these mods. I do enjoy it, for a short race or a quali session on my own.
V1.5 has certainly improved the physics, but I think it has made the AI way problematic. I'm mainly a single player guy and the number of problems I'm having with AI since 1.5 is ridiculous.
I play AMS2 only for the f1 classics cars. After so many updates the AI is still not good. About he the 1992 you can play it on assetto corsa by ASR FORMULA with all the tracks! I’m playing it right now. Every single car is recreated like the real one. For example the B192 cockpit in AMS2 is not like the real one. The ASR FORMULA is just perfect. AMS2 is essentially a skin mod. Hope in the future the modders community will increase more and more
Nice. However 1992 was the most boring season of the 1990's. Mansell had way superior car. He cruised to the championship much like Prost in 1993. 1990 was the best of the 1990's. Prost at Ferrari vs Senna at McLaren. 1998 was pretty good too. Hakkinen vs Schumacher. Cheers.
From a neutral standpoint, yes, I'd agree. But as an avid Mansell fan who had suffered with him for 8 years and 3 times being only runner-up, that was a late redemption. And, Nigel also beat his teammate rather easily that year.
1997 was by far one of the most exciting with the most variation in F1 history. The 1997 season still has the most different drivers finishing on the podium to this day (i think 13). Lots of variation and many podium capable cars. Plus the two tyre manufacturers
I agree, these cars and the mod are awesome, but the AI are at times terrible, especially on the classic tracks Hockenheim; Monza. Even on difficulty 120 they are way too slow on the straights, at the start and continually crash with each other or wipeout on their own, and have huge problems in the chicanes. This is generally the case for all of the F-Classics on these tracks. I hope Reiza looks at this, as its potential is enormous. But at times, the AI and the racing is immersion braking.
That's the problem with sims like this. Too many cars, too many tracks. There is no way they can properly program AI for so many different series so the racing suffers in all of them. The most enjoyment I get is setting up a 60 minute practice session with a full grid and just doing laps. The actual racing is not fun.

What a great job these guys are doing. I can't wait to get to 1992 now in my season playthroughs from 1983 seasons to date :)
Great race, AMS 2 Always amazing!
This is one of the best mods for Automobilista 2 - THANK YOU to the creators!! The greatest timespan in formula one history is now playable - LOVE IT
Thank you Timo ! Love these years!!
Well a fantastic result I would say! Great driving Timo!
Super cool sim. Racing side by side at old Tamburelo got me at the edge of my seat, indeed, super dangerous.
Great job, thank you Timo!
You have to check the ASR Formula 1 mod 1992 season. It comes for Assetto Corsa (with all the tracks too)and for RF2. They're not free btw
This is a beautiful thing.
Habe ich mir erst gestern geholt, mein Gott fahren die sich allesamt geil.
Nichts ist für mich bisher besser gewesen was F1 betrifft auf AM2
Early days! Good times!
Can you tell the mod guys to tweak the canon logo on the williams rear wing. It’s stretched and inaccurate and it triggers my OCD
Herbert on your roof ?
Halo ?😅😅😅
Hi, Timo! What do you think about F1 mod in rFactor 2?
Good job!
From where did you get the cars and the historic tracks?
Cars and tracks are official game content, partly DLC. The liveries and further textures are from Race Department, see description.
how do you keep up with 120 AI, they always leave me far behind
@@elon5618 Depends on the cars and class. In this one the AI is rather slow IMHO.
Why you dont use the active suspension?😀
Didn't think about it. Too much stress 😬
Almost like Nigel! He often forgot to turn it off in the curves!😄@@TimoDick

Timo. Aqua Minerale wasn't changed until 1995 😂😂😂

Its generic because of licensing issues... so they made similar models.
No shit. At least it's not like that anym......😂
Looks like the AI is still too slow.
Only on some tracks and with certain combos.

@@TimoDick Patrese could never become familiar with the active suspension. Couldn't drive that car at all (according to himself).
