This is exactly what RRRE needs. More classic content. Let the modern crap for all the other sims and bring more classic tracks and cars! Instant buy, no need to think about it.
In the visual cockpit settings there is one option to sync the wheel controller to the virtual wheel in the car that is set to 180 degrees by default. You have to change that setting to utilize your wheel better.
AMS just needs to add the Audi and this game here is obsolete. Also the 1991 DTM is much more fun. No interior shadows and dull cockpits are crap as well. Plus the multiplayer is dead...
Turn vsync off and use the variable timing of your monitors. If you don't have monitors that support that I'd be amazed. Vsync by its nature will keep cutting the frame rate in half each time it cant match an exact multiple of your monitor's native refrsh rate.
Forgot how hit and miss this game used to be....5 multiplayer lobbies...only one loaded...left hanging every time with only the task manager as an escape route.....
It took me some time to get it working on triples but I found that you need to change the aspect ratio to the largest one, and that then unlocks your triples resolutions.
@@Benny_K81 I think they drive very different to GT3s.. the only things I can compare are ABS/TC.. maybe laptimes? altough I think these cars are faster..
exactly. they changed some shaders and enhanced the post processing... Theres no wind, rain, track deformation, day and night cycle, foliage is still lifeless and track animations are pointless. The settings change little visually but hit your performance hard. VR is still and afterthought it seems like as well. They couldve taken all this energy and just released a new game on a modern engine. I get that theyre a small team but how long do they plan on running this ancient service? @@DevinTolliver-g9pActually, there are ambitions to upgrade to DX11. The main issue was that they had no one who understood this ancient, obscure graphics. Thanks to a new programmer, they got a deeper understanding of this engine, and this graphics engine was actually developed in a relatively small time. The developers themselves don't even consider it a major update, but all influencers seem keep telling that this is a big upgrade. While the shaders got significantly improved and colors look much more pleasing and natural than before, they are limited by the current engine. Well, as a matter of fact, they do market it as a "major" update. That's exactly KW's wording. Just look at the Steam game page. The "influencers" are just citing and referencing that. As do all the other media. IMHO it is a major visual update for the game, the biggest thing they have ever had. If one likes it or not is of course something else.
@@sandcastleboy7242 RR's business model is atypical compared to other games. Since the base game is free, their only chance to make some money is by placing a price on cars and tracks. I personally think it has more attractive content than iRacing, which takes money for practically every click.
Best update this yr? Come on lol The dlc is great adding a reshade filter to an ancient engine isn't that ground breaking, I would have been impressed with a DX11 update and new interior car textures.

RRRE Road Runner Racing Evolved 😂
Graphics especially in car still look very dull and outdated...bought the pack and I am disappointed

I think AMS2 1.6 has the potential to beat this update 😁 Anyway, it is a big step forward for RaceRoom and DTM 1995 is huge.
It will beat it. I'm testing it right now
Agreed. Plus, the VR in AMS2 is the best in sim racing.
@@Fred_Bassett yeah, just waiting for the next update for the beta, still a lot to do, but very promising

Nothing like race finished behind the safety car :D
I love RaceRoom.
Great game
Now it looks only 10 years older than the others sim. Still dx9 no rain no day night cycle. Wait for ams2 update

Multiplayer is dead, but the ai racing is excellent.
For me VR stutters with a 4090 and 14900K lol. Even with there new VR mode graphics option.
Open composite?
yeah try open composite, gave me a big performance boost with RaceRoom
I downloaded it but it wouldn’t work on triples so deleted it again.
works perfectly fine on triple screens
It took me some time to get it working on triples but I found that you need to change the aspect ratio to the largest one, and that then unlocks your triples resolutions.
So, buy the 1995 DTM pack?
Yeah
Depends on you. But you can test every car before you buy it (on some older tracks, not the newer ones).
For me personally it was a no-brainer obviously.
No they are like GT3 cars... Boring.... 1991 is much better

I just reloaded 3 days ago and WOW. I played for like 2 hours. Lmp1 fir me.
Nobody is really talking about the change in graphics settings and how to use them more effectively.
What has changed? I used to run everything on max, and still am.
Wait 4 AMS2 1.6!
How can anyone complain. I play lmp1 clone for FREE. Enjoy it just stop crashin into me lol.
It's a marginal visual improvement, but otherwise not much to get excited about!! It's still Raceroom, but the 95 Dtm content is good!!

I really like this game but those penalties need to be changed. Way too strict.
Go and drive NfS instead.
