I'm glad to see specialized mentioned let alone winning. There are so many comparison reviews lately and it's like the Levos don't exist. 90 Nm and nearly 600w is as good as most ,but they just don't look as good as the latest bikes. I would happily change my Levo for something else if there was a substantial benefit but up till now I haven't seen any. I'm at 20000k trouble free on mine but I'm looking forward to you getting the Amflow and putting that DJI system to the test , that could be my next bike. Incredible series of helpful videos , thanks :)

@@SamsBikes your welcome buddy, I’m sure the quad lock will be excellent, not a Levo hater I bought a 2024 comp alloy about 5 weeks ago and yep I had a fault out of the box not with the motor but the rear wheel.
When sat on the bike and it was moving the rear wheel would make a noise. Took it to a local specialized concept store close to me in the uk. The mechanic at first thought it was the rim wall of the tyre so changed it.
That wasn’t the problem so he stripped the wheel down but couldn’t see anything wrong yet the noise was still present, so gave me new wheel there and then. I expected having to wait days, but no… Couldn’t ask for better and it’s why I bought Specialized.

Maserati and Alfa Romeo make beautiful cars that are amazing to drive, so why doesn't everyone buy them? Reliability. To truly see the e-mtb market grow, we need to see motors with longer warranties, like five or more years, and motors that can be serviced at home. We could be facing class-action lawsuits when warranties expire and $7,000 e-bikes have dead motors that can't be fixed. When will we start focusing on reliability and not just performance?

The one thing you said was you were surprised the range of the Bafang was good although it had so much power.
The one thing o want to say is that the faster you go up the least amount of Gforce you will have. Because you do it faster.
In other words. It does not surprise me they are better than expected.
The only big downside of big power is the weight of the engine.

Just got back from a one hour ride with lots of hills and am STILL going with BMZ as the king of the hills .
it drops bosch and brose like they are standing still.
i raced my buddy a 48 year old very fit guy riding a bosch cx . i waited at the top wondering if he crashed and then heard some huffing and puffing as he appeared . 😂
Unfortunately the BMZ will never be on any of these lists as it's in a very niche market and not easily testable . i'm happy knowing i can destroy any of those motors with ease .
    ok flame away riders 😉

specialized service support, hmmm that could be discussed. I bought a turbo levo on 11/23, a new bike. from the first day it was not right, it had occasional interruptions in driving. I have been to 2 authorized service centers and they did not remove the defect. I also contacted Specialized europa and they told me that everything was done and that it works as it should. however, there were still interruptions. I fixed the problem, I bought a speed sensor, replaced it and everything was ok. so don't give laurels to Specialized because it's not entirely true!

I have 2023 Specialized Levo with over 7 thousand (7000) km clocked in less that 1 year and a half. The motor has been extremely reliable, still very quiet (it has not changed over time) and has not lost any efficiency (in terms of Watt/Hour consumed in a specific distance). I've had one single issue, with the battery connector (the engine would power off) and I realized after getting home that the connector was dirty; after cleaning the bike and connector, everything went back to normal.
I am surprised by the noise the new Bosch CX Race makes when being used at full power, compared to the motor on the Levo.

I like a lot your videos and I understand the tests that you made, but each rider is different and uses the motors in different ways, I pretty sure that a different person would get different results, so, I don't think that is fare to say the "best ebike motors 2024", you should say the "best ebike motors, for me, in 2024", otherwise you may be misleading people buying the wrong system.
