    CONGRATS MY FRIEND! I think going with Pearl over Slate was a brilliant choice. As you know, I have Slate as my predominant colour and I find it quite drab in comparison to the Pearl border I have. You did a masterful job on the install Brandon. I think painting that exposed concrete stem wall in black will elevate the clean look even further. Making a video of this added a lot of time and effort, but we appreciate it. Enjoy your new floor in good health and spirits!

      Yup! I honestly think Slate is a great color but this was just one shade brighter and still works well. That’s a good idea about the brick, still haven’t decided what I’ll do, but some sort of garage floor coating would probably work well

    Awesome! It really ties everything else together and gives a huge visual upgrade over the old concrete. I'm in a similar situation with cracked/stained concrete and lots of crud tracked in during MN winters. Swisstrax is definitely on my list of future upgrades.

    Amazing job! Looks great. One question- Did you add the tiles underneath the black storage drawers/ workbench? or stopped at the cabinet's edges? We have Husky cabinets installed so wondering if we need to take them out. Your advice is appreciated, thank you.

    So after living with this a couple years, I'm wondering if the dirt that falls through, then gets wet, does that "sediment" start smelling like "wet dirt"?
    Great video man, thank you!!

      I haven’t noticed any smells but I also don’t have a lot of dirt accumulated. It’s mainly dust.

    Hi. What grey did you use. Did not see the color in the write up. Is it Pearl Grey?

    Looks fantastic! One question: does it cause static shocks when you walk on it and then touch a car?

    If the center expansion joint of the concrete is 1/4" high on one side would you have to grind it down first in preparation for Swisstrax? In other words, how level does it need to be before you notice soft spots walking or driving over it? Your advice is appreciated.

    why do you have the edge pieces sticking out of the garage door? Should see all of the edge pieces from the inside not the outside.

    Why not just have the floor polished and sealed with a cool stain? You can't use a jack on that floor now and it is going to hurt to roll under a car if you do. Maybe once they break and you pull them up, you can do that.

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A thin rubber mat, piece of wood, piece of metal and you're good to use a floor jack.

    • @ShiftedPerspective
      @ShiftedPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The floors are pretty messed up so even fixing them would cost a ton, then finishing them would be an added cost. This method works because it covers up the terrible floors and I can take it with me when I move. Also, you can easily use a jack but just put a rubber mat or something small under. It’s a small change that’s worth it to me.
