Never heard of this group or the song until last night on Jimmy Kimmel and I love it!! I was caught up in the lead singers voice, the organ and the slide guitar as for me these are the things that make this song so great!
This version is fantastic, better than any other I have found. All the sounds, instruments, and voices are clear and dynamic, a great performance of a great composition. I usually prefer studio versions of my favorite songs, because they were mixed and "assembled" over many hours of recording and mixing to bring out the best of the performance, but this live version is much better, far better, than the studio version. I also think it's better than other live versions I have found.
I prefer this to the album version.. I did hear this frist and the album version is quality stuff but this is just some lethal shit!! The saxophone is incredible!!
