I wanted to hear more of them - a lot more - especially some live tracks, mostly as a challenge to confirm that they weren’t a one-hit wonder. I bought “City of Sound”. Revivalists were all “Challenge Accepted.” Heard “Soulfight” and it stopped me in my tracks. Didn’t think it could get any better. Revivalists were all “Wait.” Then I bought “Men Amongst Mountains”. Heard “It Was a Sin”. And it took me to so many places emotionally that I hadn’t been in years. Revivalists were all “Game. Set. Match. [mic drop]”
I was just leaving a conference at work when I bumped into a fellow colleague...he was telling me about a trip he's organizing to go see these guys. I had never heard of them. Since Wednesday, that's all I've been listening to...these occurrences are so special aren't they? :)

We caught them in Lowell Summer Music Series (MA) 2019... forced inside due T-storms into the Lowell HS auditorium. Opening act was great bunch of musicians from Berkeley. The Revivalists brought down the house. Played so well together.
Whomever did the audio mix on this was just genius. Even at the high point at the end the drums are still crisp and clear and add to the overall tone of the song. #AwesomeLiveBand.
At 74 I ran across this group on Austin City Limits. They really do stir something inside and whomever mentioned a Van Morrison feel, is correct. What a great band.
