I work on my S10 on my channel. I'm going to do this intake manifold gasket because I think my PCV is clogged up I got a lot of blow by. The truck runs great but feel it may have a leak. I'm hoping I get more power when I change that. I'll be putting a catch can on mine tomorrow
Good luck! Keep your bolts in order and make sure they go back in the same order, one is different! Good luck I'm sure you'll do great. Hope it clears it up for you too, very likely could be the pcv hole.
Does you air filter hose have a large opening that would let in un filtered air. Mine did. It looks like your's may have had a pipe that goes down by passenger side? Is that supposed to be there? Sorry this was hard to explain lol
I forget the socket size, but all in all you'll need a nice variety of extensions and I used a swivel extension at the end for the manifold bolts in certain spots. A ratcheting wrench for some of the lower bolts. For the fuel rail you'll need a fuel line disconnect tool, or two small flathead screw drivers if you're crafty. Then a torx bit for where the fuel pressure regulator attaches to to the manifold... I forget the size torx though. And I actually believe they should be it. Are you for certain you have a manifold leak? When you're taking the manifold bolts off, draw a picture of the manifold and place the bolt in the corresponding hole of your drawing, they need to be installed in the exact order you removed them some are different sizes. Good luck!
I just wanna do this because mine is a 98 and that gasket is probably already like 25 or 26 years old, never been touched so that…. Helps????… prolly not tho but would like to. Also my valve cover is leaking too and want to like freshen up the injectors and a lot of that is easier with the intake removed too…
Thank you!
You're welcome
Great video 💯

@@hedgewoodtv thank you 😁🤞🔧
I like how you didn't show how to get the injectors sitting on the fuel rail to sit
that took you two days to figure out
@@GregKolliopoulos i didn't even remove the injectors lol
where is the exhaust leak? You're right there arent any videos. I never thought about making one when I did it. lol
No exhaust leak just an intake manifold leak.

It's a silencer box I guess. Thank you I just googled it
@@CHEAPROLLIN I think I know what you mean, I assumed it was a catch can for water if it were to ever make it's way in lol.
@@hedgewoodtv right!!
Hey brother, I'm getting ready to do the job.... Can you let me know what tools will work
