Traxxas TRX4 8030 Light Kit Installation

This is the TRX8030 Lighting kit installation for the TRX4 Scale/Trail crawler. The kit includes, light bar, the rock lights, wiring kit with light module, headlights and tail lights. Let's install it!
This adds some realism to this truck, I like the roof light bar as it has two brightness settings. The installation time was around 2 hours, but then I was recording at the same time. I do think this optional upgrade should have improved packaging, as the lights only come in a bag.
The light kit is fairly easy to install, it takes some time and effort, but is good for people wanting to spend some time modifying their truck.
It's also a good idea for night driving!

I like this set of lights, i gonna buy them but ..... i cant help myself but 100e and so poor lights in rear ..... no comments. just two red lights. no brake light, no reversing, direction indicators, warning lights, nothing. but... how i said, i gonna buy them :D

Your back up lights and turn signals aren’t working. I’ve got the same problem on my TRX4 Defender

That's because they don't work at all. At a price of $100 bucks US. they could have done a better job on the features.

They are not supposed to work. If you want those features buy the EZON light kit for like 20 bucks. There are similar kitsch for 17 bucks as well. Reverse lights, brake lights, blinkers, high and low beam, and hazard lights.

I see why the rock lights make sense but as trying to replicate a real life scale model to me it seems a little overkill as the real life counterpart doesn't have them.

Am I the only one that has a problem with the rest of the pins sticking straight up exposed? Really ruins the concern of running it in light water as it might get in and cause a short.
