Lt. Col. Tim Schepper has flown B-1B Lancers for 22 years. He has spent 208 days in B-1 cockpits becoming the first pilot to surpass the 5,000 flight hour plateau.
Congratulations to you, LTC! I, too, logged 5,000 flight hours in my military career, but did it in UH-1 helicopters. Because my Hueys had only a 2-hour fuel load, I got to perform more landings than you did. Also, much of it was performed below 50 feet of altitude, and while wearing night vision goggles. And once in a while people were shooting at me. I believe you when you say you don't know any pilot who doesn't love flying the B-1B. I can say the same about the grand old lady, the Huey.
OK, settle down guys beating your own drum, the Colonel's achievement was brought forward by Boeing. This is all Boeing's announcements. Send your logs to Huey&Company and we'll watch the vids. OH! by the way, what service, what action and what was the goggles model number? Usually most night LRRPs, SEAL drops were much further than 2hrs and most were done with the 'Jolly-greens', just sayin. Maybe there are a few Marine Huey pilots here on this thread that will know when heavy night-vision ops began?
Lt. Col. Tim Schepper - congratulations and our very best wishes to you and your family. We thank you for your service and we thank your family as well. It is certainly true that those who wait also serve
My military service was serving in VF84 Jolly Rogers. My squadron CO surpassed 10,000 hours in 34 different aircraft. That was an incredible feat, and at the time a Naval record. Congrats to this guy. 5000 just in one plane is a great achievement. And thank Boeing and President Regan for providing this wonderful aircraft.
I was in RAF Farnborough a few years back for a couple of weeks with the Air Training Corps, I can tell you the B1-Bs engines can defiantly wake you up at 4 in the morning. Even when your on the other side of the base. What a spectacular machine!
Incredible! What an accomplishment, what I would give for a chance to have just 1 flight hour in the B-1B. The B-1B is one of the aircraft that inspired me to become a pilot.
I would push hard to get in another 15 flight's. If I heard correctly that would put you at 1000 landings in the B-1 also. Another great accomplishment.
I ALSO have a problem with BOEING claiming the fame of the ROCKWELL designed B1-B. Credit should be given where credit was due and NOT because BOEING bought out the original company and ASSUMED the remainder of the aircraft program life.
Audi would never claim Lamborghini's heritage even though they own the marque, would just plain be weird for everybody lol. That said this video is more about the pilot and less about the bird, servicemen and enthusiasts know the deal :)
REMARKABLE MARK !!!! MY FATHER LT GEN SARMENTO FROM BRAZILIAN AIRFORCE HAS SURPASSED 3,000 FLIGHT HOURS ON A DHC5 BUFALLO OUT OF HIS 7,500 TOTAL FLIGHT HOURS ON HIS CREER IN THE AIR FORCE. .
I've heard that the B-1B uses servo controlled cannards to smooth the ride for the pilots. Does any of that technology make sense in commercial aircraft?? I get sooooo tired of the "Fasten your seatbelts" sign during minor turbulence.
Absolutely amazing!! Human effort may accomplished great things As one of retired Christian Eler pray those space pioneers may have great vision to make this world become Peace and wonderful place to live. A men Retired Christian Eler Daniel Yita Chen California USA
North American used to be North American, Rockwell used to be Rockwell. Merger. Then Boeing purchased it. The list of dead contractors is long. Curtis, Republic, North American, Hughes, Mcdonnel, Douglas, Wright, General Dynamics (aircraft), The list is long.
I hated seeing VF-84 get disestablished. Although VF-103 took over t he Jolly Rogers it really just isn't the same. Always loved seeing photos of the Jolly's running intercepts on a Soviet Bear. Loved them bones, All the cool squadrons were disestablished,,,VF111 The Sun Downers, Gone, VF-1 Wolfpack , gone, VF-142 the Ghostriders, gone my Dad's old Vietnam A-4 squadron VA-32 the Black knights a now long gone. Sad to see but it is what is...
Joshua Feldhacker so if someone say... and this is just hypothetical . bought the Mona Lisa and decided to put his name on it would it not be a Leonardo Da Vinci ? lame dude
how long can the air force fly b-52 s / it has to be very costly just to keep them flying now it has served well // this air craft is going to cost too much money to fly
Roland Malcome b-52's are decommissioned, have been for a long time, but i think you accidentally commented in the wrong place. the b-52 video plays in stream right before this b-1 bomber stream as i watched both videos as well.
How much for an eight ball ? After 7.5(?) hours of flight time the pilots are required to take methamphetamine.19 hours at the helm is like a walk in the park .
I also love the US, just not the assholes that have been authorizing false flags and has anything to do with 9/11, it's time for all Americans to love their country again, Most of us are tired of being any enemy.

Lt. Col. Tim Schepper - congratulations and our very best wishes to you and your family. We thank you for your service and we thank your family as well. It is certainly true that those who wait also serve
Thanks LC for a job well done and your AF life-long support crews.

I heard this thing has a larger payload than the B-52. The Lancer is absolutely incredible!

Congratulations Lt. Col. Schepper! Thank you for the service and it's nice to see you return home safely.
Had the opportunity to sit in the pilots seat of Boeing's B-1B! A Stunning Aircraft!
The B-1B is an awesome plane. My two picks are the B777-300ER and the B-1B lancer.
Incredible! What an accomplishment, what I would give for a chance to have just 1 flight hour in the B-1B. The B-1B is one of the aircraft that inspired me to become a pilot.
Thank you for your services, Col. Sheper!
Thank you sir for your service!

What a great record to hit. Can't beat the look of the long-nose B-1s.
Thank you for your service Sir! You're an amazing asset to our nation!
I ALSO have a problem with BOEING claiming the fame of the ROCKWELL designed B1-B. Credit should be given where credit was due and NOT because BOEING bought out the original company and ASSUMED the remainder of the aircraft program life.

Really 180 dislikes haters because they can't even pilot a drone.
CONGRATULATIONS BOEING! YOU ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD!
Congrats to a fine officer and pilot. Air force all the way.
my dad work on all the b-1 bombers when it was Rockwell before Boeing bought them out.
That's Great! Go Air Force!
Thank You Col. Schepper
Thank you to Lt. Col. Tim Schepper for his service to our country.
My deceased father in law worked the B 1 when he was at Rockwell the it became North American Rockwell.
NOT built by BOEING. Built by North American.
Thanks to the Men and Women that REALLY made this happen...BONE MAINTAINERS!!!

This mean he's a "full bird" colonel now?
Congrats to Lt. Col. Schepper!
It's a lot of flying hours. Converting all this in US$ how much it cost? Just wondering.
a lot believe me
if you are in Denver, you can see a B1A bomber in the museum there.
The B-52 is 60 years old and still flying, and will be 10 years after the last B1-B is chopped up. Sorry… fail.
+cmscms123456 what you mean chopped up? Last time I checked they were being upgraded.
How about turning this aircraft into a supersonic commercial airliner?
Beautiful job

One of the good ones did not disapear.
Dedicação e muito AMOR pela aviação...Mas em um Boeing tudo fica mais fácil...;-)
we are proud of these heroes
Well new tec will allow u to fly an unmanned drone pretty cool
This is why the country needs to borrow so much money.
perfect landing ....................
Ronald Reagan resurrected this bomber after Carter cancelled it.
he is a brave man!!!!
My hero!

why the glasses are yellow?
They wouldn't let him land 15 more times to land 1000?
muy

Boeing? Rockwell International built this airplane!!
+Raoul Duke LOL who owns who.. only two major players anymore

i think of it like this. If Ford bought out Ferrari and decided to call the original 1948 Barchetta a Ford... it just doesnt sit well
Joshua Feldhacker so if someone say... and this is just hypothetical . bought the Mona Lisa and decided to put his name on it would it not be a Leonardo Da Vinci ? lame dude
Joshua Feldhacker there is so much wrong with that statement that i refuse to continue to argue with you. you can't win an argument with an idiot.
I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not but does he take a nap while he in the air? autopilot.
love that plane
waw very beautiful

thank you and I stand corrected on B-52 s
It used to be Rockwell, but it became Boeing later on.
What did his Wife say she'd seen him do? Oh well great accomplishment congratulations.
The Ronald Reagan bomber, for without him reviving this program there would never have been a B-1B ;-)
Boeing is an American Company and Lt. Col. Schepper is an American pilot. What do you think?
Boeing own Rockwell.
ty 160
Do you really think a simulator worth millions of dollars would use fsx?
I wish I was you.
Very nice
Mahalo!
with ZERO overtime pay....too bad...
