Did you De-Tention that screw cap before increasing the depth of cut?
I just got a Quangsheng block plane and had trouble with the depth adjuster.
I thought if i de-tentioned the screw cap, it may skew the blade.
But i guess you just barely take the pressure off, just enough so the deoth adjustment works?

tip: rub little wax block on the base of the plane to help with gliding.

Mastery of the basics is so important. Practice. Bruce Lee stated, “I am not afraid of a person who knows 10,000 kicks. There are only 26 letters in the English language but you can spell hundreds of thousands of words with them.
