Just got an Elite 1 on Marketplace for 60 bucks. I love it! Feels premium, and the functions that I initially dismissed like the trigger stops ended up being some of my favorite things. I read that the Elite 2 has 3 settings on the trigger stops, and some more customizable options, but aside from that, and having the built in battery, is essentially the same thing. Pretty sure you couldn't go wrong with either option, but the elite 1 is my go to now.

The Elite 2 is an Awesome Controller, and definitely something that I'd go to for gaming. It has given me the best gaming experience ever. But there's a MAJOR catch that I don't see a lot of people point out. That catch is the duration the Controller lasts without issues. I've owned 3 Elite 2 controllers (1 I haven't opened yet) and after about 3 months there was always an issue with the Bumpers. Soon they become unresponsive. They just don't make things last long anymore smh. So definitely think long and hard before spending your money on this controller.

Finally someone points it out without saying all the pro’s and zero cons… The controller felt so great when I got it, was comfortable to hold and everything… I tested it out and it had massive stick drift and the XYBA buttons were sometimes not responsive… I didn’t care that much about the stick drift considering most games have a deadzone option… But the XYBA buttons not responding right forced me into using my paddles for some games I hadn’t tried them out for yet… Ntm later on 2 of the paddles later on stop registering same for the bumpers… Then the grip started falling off… If the controllers were durable and consistent this controller would be the greatest controller I have ever used…

I would like the Elite 1 or 2. The reason why is because I have an Xbox series X controller that works perfectly fine but I think all the attachments would nice to have and also I could really use the case for it considering it has cable space and slots for all the accessories. Also it has back paddles which you could buy but it’s better when it’s with the controller. Not only that but it even has a micro charging port on the Elite 2 which is super handy! Anyways that’s just my opinion :)

The elite 1. Got it a year after it was first released and damn was it a change.
Tbh if you find the right products you can make a elite 1 controller like a elite 2 controller.
For example, changing the shell for rubber grip and adding a wireless charger pack.
If I could, I would have liked the controller to have a ctype port on the elite 1 but I can mod that in later

  • @DjRavix

I have to agree … the biggest issue I have with the elite 2 is that the battery is not user replaceable (or at least not as easy as on the first model)
They should have made the Charing doc so that you could still replace the battery as with the old version
This would also provide the option to put AA batteries the controller giving the end user an alternative option to power the controller and last beyond the existence of battery packs for it (good luck getting those official packs for 360 controllers nowadays)

Tips for not getting stick drift. Remap the spring action that way it never gets clicked' and try to be easy on the sticks dont push forcefully on them I noticed players who are rough with their elite get drift almost immediately

I prefer the elite 2 imo, I like the adjustable thumb sticks and the rechargeable battery inside the controller, less hassle. It’s just that I’m pretty rough on my things and controllers only tend to last a year and it’s not great spending $150 a year on a controller lol

The internal battery on the elite 2 is better than removable batteries as it last 48 hours meaning if it deteriorates an hour a year it would take 24 years for it to only last one whole day of nonstop gaming

Elite 2 because the C USB port and the fact that is charges I usually use my controller for a couple hours and then get off for a half the time I play and even work out or sum close to that and it makes it easy to just stick in the case and go

2 hands down for 5 reason I love the new grip, appreciate the extra profile, I like that it's rechargeable, the charging station is a nice touch, and I have the halo infinite edition.
Oh ps. The thumbsticks are more adjustable.

Elite one backpaddles felt much nicer, but my elite one recently broke down on everything after 4 years of usage even the backpaddles didn't click anymore. Bought elite v2 recently, i love the triggers and stick adjustment but the backpaddles hurt my fingers after a while (they are a little bit on the tiny side)
