FX Panthera valve rod leak fixed!

On one of my two days each weekend until this competition at sigsauer, my valve rod started leaking after one magazine in the Pantera, very frustrating! FX actually wanted me to send it in just for them to change the valve ride as if I don’t know how to put an entire M4 A1 completely disassembled and reassembled blindfolded! I explained that to them, and they sent me the part, but I’ve already fix the leak as you can see in this video. Once reassembling, everything I had a severe loss of power, I have a feeling it is attributed to the regulator, which I am already going to replace with a HUMA, air regulator and pin probe as I did on my impact and it has worked flawlessly since. I highly recommend HUMA air, and I have to send a special shout out to another TH-camr, who left comments in another video of mine I don’t know his name, but if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have known as quickly as I did how to fix this. I would have figured it out by the somatic, but he made my life a lot easier and was a big help and I appreciate him. And all of you guys! That’s why we do this , so I hope this helps someone.

@@4450OhDeere I didn’t make a thorough video explaining that, but I did make a video when I first got it, and I did describe how I did it. Basically, I just measured for the bottle and how much space it was going to need, and I took the rail off, then put it on my milling table, cut it out where it needed to be cut out to clear the bottle, and then when I put it back on, I got the humor air double bottle attachment, so it had an extra plate holding the threaded part so I had to get really long screws, and I just threaded them myself to the threaded connection in the gun that they had with the original screws rather than re-tapping the holes, then I installed those to secure the mounting bracket for that rail, and secured it there for the back and at the front I put 23 mm Allen screws that fit through the threaded holes on the front of the rail and it ended up just after the Plenum so it’s on the regular shroud it’s not touching the Plenum, but nonetheless, I used some adhesive rubber tape. It’s actually like thick rubber for cutting out feet for chairs and stuff like that, put that on the two little spots with the screws hitting it so it’s got one on the top and one on the bottom to set the front of it. Still on the shroud. Very stable.

Hey man, just found your channel.
I got myself a .30 cal fx panthera 700 and got a barrel leak when using a second bottle :/
When using only the stock bottle, no air leak is found ... I oiled up the front bottle adaptor and checked for leak there, but the only leak i found is indeed coming from the barrel (putting my finger at the end of it and putting some soapy water as your recommended below to another gentleman).
The gun is brand new, it only saw around 200 pellets :/ It's a replacement from a previous one that had an obvious leak even with the stock bottle..
Any advice ?

I used aerosol leak detection spray but soap and water will work. You’ll see bubbles like with gas lines. Reach out if I can help

Hello, i have a problem with Panthera ( New one ) First fill problems, air leak from barrel. How fix it? im use balloon but cant do that :(

Have you managed to find the specs on the 2 o rings that need replacement

Honestly, it slipped my mind. I will look it up, but there is a spec sheet in the form of a diagram on every FX gun on their website. I have them all printed out for every gun in a drawer in my room where I keep the guns, this way when I work on them, I have every spec on every part, and when you order the parts from FX, you need those part numbers anyway

So I’m glad you got this video, this is perfect for you now you don’t have to send it out anymore just ordered the right O-rings, if you need the specs on it I will get them for you, and if it happens again you can do it yourself instead of having to wait weeks for FX. They are a big company, it is inevitable that it’s going to take them a while even though it’s bullshit after what we pay for these guns, I own and built my company, and when you get to a certain size it’s impossible to get everything done that quickly so I do Understand as frustrating as it is because I own a business also, and my business got big nowhere near that size, but I understand. Anyway that’s why we have to help each other out. I’m glad I could and I’m glad the other guy could help me out. That’s what TH-cam is about sharing information and helping each other out
