    Great review, and video. I picked this up about 6 months ago, and I just absolutely love it. I’ve got a wide and varied collection, several other Omega’s, Rolex, Panerai, Zenith, etc.... and this watch I just cannot get off my wrist. I wear it aboout half the time on the rubber dive strap, which is really comfortable and shows great contrast with the gold on the case, but I also love the bracelet, which is ultra comfortable now that they’ve finally included a quick-set micro-adjustment in the clasp. I know the bracelet isn’t to everyone’s taste, but it wears so comfortably and beautifully balances the weight of the watch such that it’s incredibly balanced on the wrist, as opposed to being top heavy like so many other 42mm-and-plus watches. Enjoy your watch! It’s a true beauty and one of the best to come along in years.

    Could not agree more! Such a well made timepiece. Got a Rolex Yacht on rubber and a GMT Root Beer and dare say this Omega beats them both in several ways, not least with that stunning engraved black ceramic dial. You just don't want to take it off your wrist and don't want to take your eyes off it! They seem to be selling out quick. The buckle system is also cleverly made there is a little pin to hold the rubber stopper from sliding off.

    According to Omega, Ceragold is used for the numbers in the bezel only. The remainder of gold on this watch is Sedna gold, not Cera.

    The Omega seamaster holds the world record for the deepest dive at over 35, 000 feet!!!! This gives your watch tremendous kudos. The seamster is a serious and well credentialed dive watch. On top of that, your seamaster is also exceedingly beautiful and the dial is, I think, a wonderful work of art and in a class of its own.

    Best review out there of the 300M steel/sedna gold. So clear I want to reach out and grab it! One question, I know you purchased this through an AD. Did the AD give any discount on this piece? Any thoughts on purchasing through a 3rd party like Jomashop?

    • @omegalove8385
      @omegalove8385  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Oogie Padoogie thank you! The AD gave me a 10% discount on the watch. I’ve explored the option of using Jomashop in the past. Although very tempting, I feel much more confortable going through the AD experience. That’s just me though. I have friends that have used Jomashop and have had fairly good experiences. It’s a matter of preference. Good luck! Would love to hear of what you end up doing!

    - So did you actually buy this watch ?
    - I agree that the buckle should have been in ceragold as well
    - this is not the bond version but I prefer this one (the gold hands look nicer that on the steel one) or the classic steel or even the 2 tone yellow gold.

    With the Seamaster you put it on the wrist and enjoy it.
    With the Rolex you put it in its box and in the safe.
    You never really own/enjoy a Rolex , you simply keep it locked away until some time in the future when you sell it.

    Nice review on my fav version of the SMP 300. Just a serious question, you said you have an PO GMT also, would you go swimming with the SMP300 or the PO GMT? I‘m. Thinking about adding a diver to my collection and the SMP300 has the most tech for the bucks I‘ll spend. But I also love the look of the Tudor BB line... Tudor is looking more toolish and this SMP300 is more like a bling bling luxury accessory for a man and someone with the regular steel version would go swimming/diving with it. But I still want you opinion about this. Thanks

    • @omegalove8385
      @omegalove8385  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be honest I would go swimming with either. I don't like babying my watches. I want to use them for what they're made for (tough luxury dive watches). Ive worn my PO GMT in the ocean and didn't think twice about it. I haven't taken the SMP 300 to the ocean yet because I haven't had the opportunity to, but when I do, I certainly will! Hope that helps....Keep me posted to what you end up doing. Cheers!

      I personally am not a fan of the 2 tone bracelet for this watch. It looses its sportiness in my opinion but at the end of the day, its all personal preference. Ceragold is a ceramic with gold composition and Sedna gold (this model) is a gold with a mixture of copper and palladium to give it its rose colour. It also won't change colours over time....I hope that helps!
