    Hi. 1. Usually I arrive at the airport in time, but it was one case when I was late and wasn't allowed on board. 2. It's about time to prepare myself for bed, because it's almost midnight. 3. It's time we went out to see sunset.

    I always ensure that I'm in time at the airport to daydream before my flight. By snoozing I could miss it but, fortunately, an alarm wakes me up on time for boarding. If not, I guess it would be high time I got a louder alarm, or a new smartphone…

    The other day I went to the dentist's and my appointment was scheduled for 5 pm. Since I had a few errands to run before going there, I was happy to be able to arrive ON time. After having my tooth fixed I headed towards the area where I had parked my car (improperly😬) and noticed a tow truck driver was just about to hook it up. Luckily I was just IN time to persuade him not to do it and to prevent the catastrophe. 😁 It's about time I got lucky (for a change!)

      Hey... Is that valid for American English?

    • @arielgarcia6916
      @arielgarcia6916 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Even "About Time" ?

    • @Vivaswaan.
      @Vivaswaan. 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@arielgarcia6916 The grammar of a language doesn't change with the region it is spoken in. The rules of grammar are same for everyone, be it British, American, Australian, German, Colombian, Indian.
      What differs is the accent and the phrases or expressions. It is different in different places. This is the reason we have the country's name as the adjective before the word 'English'.

    • @Vivaswaan.
      @Vivaswaan. 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @SRBPS आकाश ਆਕਾਸ਼ AAKASH ah! Yes. You are right. I stand corrected.
      As for the example you've stated, it shows us how the grammar isn't affected by geography. It's the difference in expressions or the way the way sentences are formed adhering to the rules of grammar. There can be more than one way of saying something, and that's what I had pointed out.
      As far as the difference is spelling is concerned, you are right. And I am fully aware of the fact. Furthermore, the vocabulary also differs, like the use of the words 'lift' and 'elevator' to describe the same thing. But I felt, this wasn't bearing any connection to the question asked, so I didn't mention it.

    • @Vivaswaan.
      @Vivaswaan. 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @SRBPS आकाश ਆਕਾਸ਼ AAKASH I guess you are failing to see that this lesson is about grammar and the meaning of the phrases mentioned in the video. What's being taught is not a slang phrase or a local expression. It is used everywhere and can be used everywhere, as he is talking about English in general and not British English or British expressions.
      Sure, he teaches British English but not in this video.
