@Thomas Pickens Thank you so much for pointing that out for me. My auto-correct changed it and I thought my intelligence was slipping because of it. Thank you my savior.
The Doctor probably has the entire knowledge of Voyager's data banks at his command as well, and can probably access them as easily as we do our own memories. And yes 7 of 9 should also have been up there as well.

@@dwightgrant6360 I liked when Khan made the list, but then putting Kirk above for the time he outsmarted him, like...The dude was from way back and figured out your future tech in a week and held his own against 3 people all on this list working together to bring him down, all of whom were somehow ranked ahead of him. Hmmm.
I haven't even watched the video yet but saw your comment. I know it's going to be a poor list if Kirk is on it and dax or seven are not. Does this guy even know star trek?
Admittedly, I was thinking the same thing. But he wasn't really a recurring character. He was on twice, though significant to note that he outsmarted everyone in each appearance. Which was a feat in itself, given his 19th Century understanding of the Universe.
the first time I saw data show geordi the picture moriarty drew, and it was the enterprise, I got straight up goosebumps ,so awesome,, it was also 30 years ago
@@garrysmith9515 Well, Moriarty.exe learned a bunch of "modern" knowledge when he eventually acessed the Enterprise-D database. Funny how an A.I. harnessing the immense computational power of the Enterprise-D's Computer outsmarted everyone twice, until they trolled him into believing he was free, so in the end Moriarty was outsmarted by "lesser" intelligence.
I would put Chief O’brain on there because he was always given a stupid deadline to complete things. He had to combine Bajoran, Cardassian, and Federation technology to run Deep Space Nine. There’s and episode where he outsmarts Garek. There’s and episode were he tells Warf how to lead your men. And the fact that he’s best friend with Bishir who is engendered to be a genius. So many factors.
In an episode where Data loses his memory on a medieval-age planet, he literally discovers and finds a CURE for cancer in a few days using nothing but primitive tools.
I feel like a top 20 would have been better suited for this. Up to the point when 7 left the Borg she was as smart as the queen... I think. But after that she gained emotional intelligence and the ability to think for herself, it did take a long time but in the end, 7 is cunning and very intelligent. If you look at her in both Voyager and Picard she is easily a contender.
Wesley Crusher was smart enough to take control of the enterprise in a drunken stupor, saved the crew multiple times and was smart enough to pull himself out of time. One of the smartest characters ever but haters gonna hate.
That's because he was a Mary Sue. Smart but no flaws. We are told to love him instead of letting him be loved naturally from actions or writing. Why couldn't they give him a girl friend or talks with Picard or mother that didn't start with them pissed off and ending "Wesley shut up?' Plus there was the crap like Picard making him an ensign without ever attending the Academy. Actor was cute though. Just was bad writing for him.
Spock even referred to kirk as genius and dynamic of mind. Kirk has routinely outsmarted demigods, young gods, old gods, vger, super probes and even time itself. Dont sleep on kirk. Its a reason why starfleet adopted the enterprise insignia for all of starfleet. Its a reason if you just survive an encounter with kirk youre considered a dahar master. Kirks da man
i was thinking the same thing, dax had a repository of life experiences in her symbiote, a wealth of knowlege and intellect from prior hosts. i agree with you there. also as much as im not a fan of weasley, (will wheaton especially) his character was one of the most brilliant minds on the ship. his intelligence allowed him to transcend to be like the traveler. this video fails lol
One word, two numbers: Seven of Nine. Seven had to be one of the absolutely most intelligent human characters on Star Trek. Daughter of two eccentric scientists, a drone who was a member of Unimatrix 01, and elected by the entire collective to represent the collective to the crew of Voyager during their war with Species 8472.
Not sure elected and correct me if I am wrong but doesn't every borg know everything that every other borg know? For example if one knows how to recrytalize diliithium the next one knows how also the next and the next and the next 10 billion.
In First Contact, Data literally outwits the Borg Queen by faking emotions. He uses emotional intelligence against her. That makes him smarter than her.
@@jensdroessler3575 Actually, he did fake them. Yes he had them, but he pretended to feel different about the Queen then he did so that he could find the oppertune time to defeat her.
John Whitehouse “I was tempted sir...for all of eight seconds!” - Picards puzzled look. - “that’s an eternity, for an Android! So no he didn’t “fake it”, he just came to his senses quickly.
I think 7 of 9 ranks pretty high up there. She made some mistakes on Voyager but arguably has the highest raw intellect of anyone who was ever on that ship. She's also extremely combat proficient as we've seen in Picard
I think they weren't including one-off types. Where Silence has Lease had an entity that maybe wasn't Q level, but was certainly at a level beyond the comprehension of several people who made the list. As for recurring people I'm surprised Wesley Crusher, the Traveler, and Computer Moriarty (literally programmed to be an appropriate nemesis for Data-Homes) weren't brought up.
@Eduardo Mendez Yeah, but where Data is considered. He was built by his creator, but on his own and as a member of the Enterprise, he was constantly becoming more human.
I notice a distinct lack of any character from Deep Space Nine on this list, and some of them are ridiculously smart. Scotty may have had to keep the Enterprise together, but Miles O'Brien had to keep together the scrap heap that combined Starfleet, Bajoran, and Cardassian technology for seven years - including through a two-year interstellar war - and he did so as a mere Chief Petty Officer. And what about Elim Garak or Enabran Tain? Garak may have been a plain and simple tailor, but when you needed a way out of an impossible dilemma, he would get it done, and you would learn to live with it, even if it damned your soul. As for Tain, where do you think Garak learned it all from? And for one non-DS9 character, can you honestly tell me that Seven of Nine does not deserve a spot on this list? Harry Kim once called her 'probably the most intelligent human being alive' based solely on all the knowledge she retained from the Collective. Add to that her slow-but-steady growth into her human side, and along with it a deep sense of moral and emotional intelligence, and I think she is definitely one of the smartest people in all of Star Trek. And you listed all of those captains, but left off Sisko? Shame on you, sir. For that alone, this video gets a downvote from me. I'm truly sorry, but I can't help but fundamentally disagree with some of the omissions from this list.
1:51 It's not "The Ninth Degree." It's "The Nth Degree." Nth degree is a colloquialism meaning essentially limitless or infinite. Your list is ridiculous.

There went you're whole attempt at being funny, lmao. And you worked sooooo hard on it.
@@danielblain9046 Agreed. Intelligence is, amongst other things, what you do with said knowledge. Knowledge is like the icing on a cake, very VERY roughly speaking. Or the polish on a diamond.
with little knowledge, you won't be able to be intelligent. Intelligence is the ability to apply knowledge. You can't have intelligence without knowledge and the people in this list who have a great deal of knowledge knew how to actually apply it in a practical sense which intern makes them intelligent. So..... in the end, someone who has a plethora of knowledge and knows how to use that knowledge is intelligent. So this list is able to use both interchangeably.
Pudinzin Aloprado Computer’s today can beat the worlds best chess players. How could Data who’s radically advanced from current technology lose to Troi no less? It was just the writer’s trying too be cute.
Rom as an honorable mention? Weyoun did call him a diabolical genius and he has served some smart beings, so high praise. And Bashir is a big omission. That calculation he makes in head when the defiant is stranded without wrap was insane.
My main man Q's also out here with an IQ of 2005, so yeahhh, I imagine it'd be pretty tricky to argue that one... I like the Janeway angle though - always thought of Picard as the cleverer one, but her placement here's also really difficult to question.
Sort of. The Borg are more accurately described as a pseudo-species derived from absorbing other species. Those individuals are ultimately so altered while becoming Borg that they are arguably no longer that species. Captain Archer commented on this when scanning an assimilated human and Doctor Crusher mentioned that a mostly assimilated Picard's DNA was being "rewritten". That said, it appears possible to mostly reverse the assimilation process with sufficiently advanced medical technology. It depends on how altered an individual Borg is. Picard seems to be fully restored to human while Seven of Nine seems to be mostly human but still something of a human-borg hybrid were completely removing her implants would kill her and there have been occasions where some of her borg technology that was removed had regenerated and reasserted itself. It's not so cut and dry as "the Borg are or are not a species".
It's unfair to just classify Seven as part of the Borg and therefore not in this list. Remember the episode Think Tank where the villains want Seven to be part of their group because she's gifted? That's not only the Borg part of her - they also want her for her natural intellect which is inextricably linked. There are other episodes where her innate intelligence is remarkable. Anyway. Your list but she should be on it. 😜

Solid list but I would have but leaving out Geordi was a bad call and The Borg Queen not smarter than Janeway AND DATA who both outsmarted her big time (End Game and First Contact)
Bad call Reg & Geordi basically repaired and perfected the 1st warp ship for earth in 1st contact. Reg made pathfinder possible. & Geordi kept a ship twice the size of scotties and twice as advanced in the best shape for 7 years and now days he also designed and over saw 20,000 ships for the rescue armada. Janeway destroyed and array that could of got her crew home and there was a possibility of leaving a timed charge with the tri cobalt devices. Poor poor choices not having those two in there and Saying Janeway smarter then Picard who we are about to see keeps the entire galaxy from being annihilated. Where as she just made deals and cut corners meeting less advanced races then the ones being kept at bay Picard, Sisko and co in the Alpha quadrant. For example the Romulans the Klingons and the Dominion and defending it against the Borg where as Janeway cut a deal again this time with the Borg and left most of the intelligent civilisations in the Delta quadrant to be assimilated. I don’t call those smart moves.
KrimetT StarKiller She hasn’t got rid of the Borg though KrimetT and The TNG crew killed her twice. I loved voyager too I remember having dinner and being excited for it to come on. But she hard sold the delta quadrant and her interference in time could be the very reason the Trek verse is in the state its in today. She made bad calls. She could of let 8472 finish the Borg off for good ridding the galaxy of an ultimate threat and then opened a dialog or even opened at the time to stress voyager and the rest of the galaxy wasn’t a threat but she didn’t. My main argument here. She sided with and aided the Borg. How many species have paid the price for that deal. I would imagine too many. That’s my opinion. She’s an over rated captain because she made bad calls. I know it’s all a story but look at Harry Kim she was biased he never got a field promotion despite being the back bone of voyagers advances in the quadrant like the astrometric lab etc. She fought with species mainly who weren’t as advanced as Voyager making it a sitting duck in a quadrant full of zombies after some hardware meat when she could have taken a different route all together. She’s a great role model and set the pace for the time being the first female captain I get all that but she is in no way better then Kirk as what’s portrayed in the series and by her characters behaviour. The cost of her dealings were way too high. Seven made the series stand out not her unfortunately and you just have to investigate her behaviour as an actor behind the scenes to check that fact.
KrimetT StarKiller An interesting point but it’s not opinion it’s fact she captained a ship of 150 people and got them lost for 7 years and made a deal with the Devil to cheat her way through the Delta quadrant. She was sloppy and there was a reason they made time travel illegal in that time during the 2300s and beyond and also she went there of her own accord and didn’t out wit the Borg queen on her own she did it with seven and the voyager crew that’s like me saying Picard our witted the queen on his own I think that’s the way you point it across buts it’s gibberish. The enterprise E followed the Borg back in time and had to save Starfleet and human history. The dialogue could of been made through Kes when she was hearing them during 8472s invasion into the delta quadrant. She didn’t out wit the queen she went back in time and had a massive advantage by doing that it wasn’t a fair fight she had a twenty year advantage. That’s fact. You don’t need to read too many books on that one. Voyager a science vessel with teeth. The Enterprise D and E, the flag ship of the UFP. Fact , fact and more facts an opinion is fair option but if you want facts it was the flag show in the late 90s and it was under cut by fans and ratings to DS9 on so many occasions that once again they needed 7 of 9 to push it from the season 3 Fact. Janeway, She’s a fraud. She had to cheat time to make anything of herself. No if no buts and out of all the damage she did to the Borg . They are still around . And as for the Voyager herself the best version of it was a duplicate from the Demon planet. The original point you make is invalid she outsmarted her self that’s about it and it took herself getting assimilated to do it. She sucks and Voyager was nothing without Jeri Ryan that’s an absolute stand out fact it’s like gold shining out of water it’s that much of a fact . So it’s a good job I didn’t ask for your opinion.
KrimetT StarKiller I couldn’t even be bothered to read all that because you’ve repeated all I’ve said and made something good about it. You said opinions were not worth the facts in previous response and are clearly in love with Janeway. I’m pretty sure I know what a fact is. A fact is you have to get the last word in well a books worth of wording trying to educate and put people down. So in your last comments case and how shoddy a captain Janeway wasn’t. I don’t need to do the math to know what’s what in Trek. I do know you have a massive chip on your shoulder over my passion for Jeri Ryan saving Voyager and the fact that Janeway past or present did not single handful defeat the Borg and you missed my points on opening a dialogue and taken the military decision to defeat the Borg there and then during the 8472 invasion and while we are on that what gives this little war to me is the bare fact you just stated Janeway as a military commander. Now time and time again in Trek old and new it’s clearly mentioned it’s not a military organisation. So take your maths and your Janeway love and go play with a voyager toy or something. I don’t need people to ask for mine but you don’t see me going on here routing on about it like you do. Mine is mine and that’s the whole point of us all being entitled to an opinion and what makes all of yours no matter what you say now or have said skewed. I don’t need to look into anything I would beat you with any Trek knowledge with one hand tied behind my back. Your great with dictionary but completely miss the philosophy of respecting someone’s opinion good or bad. I believe the term for someone like is as they would say. Snowflake. Janeway was mediocre and nothing more. Your very sad for being so competitive and yet I respect your passion despite losing horribly to your own fantasy of how your opinion is superior. Seek help. Or have a Tranquilliser and watch voyager, understand it better and see that everyone has there own opinions and yours isn’t the better one no matter how much you think it is. You sad lonely little person. Look up the episode Scorpion and listen to Chakotays story about the scorpion and the fox. Realise. Go outside once in a while too. I don’t think Voyager sucks I just think she made bad calls as a Starfleet captain and again STARFLEET isn’t a MILATARY organisation. Janeway is less then Picard is less then sisko because I have to say this again because your a sour snowflake she put peoples life’s at risk time and time again she could have destroyed the Array with a timed charge and still got everybody home and not effected the balance of power in that pathetic little part of the galaxy. I did mention this in earlier comments but your snowflake rage must of taken over and you almost had this superior comments challenge as a snow flake winner until you mixed the word military with Star Trek / Starfleet clearly showing you have no knowledge of Gene Roddenberry of Star Trek. So no matter what you say no it’s already voided it because any Trekkie knows they the M word doesn’t mix even when a captain has to make a decision to defend his or her ship and crew. They know they are first and foremost explorers not military commanders. And a good captain considers both sides as you mention but she clearly didn’t when she made an alliance with the Borg who STARTED the war with 8472. She then used KLINGON tech and experimental STARFLEET tech from the DOCTOR with his Neuroletic pathogen to defeat the Borg. Not her military skills because as far as starfleets ethos is concerned she doesn’t have any in that respect. No body is asking for your opinion neither by the way. You need to respect other people’s even if they do seem skewed to you all you’ve done is made yourself look skewed by your pathetic team Janeway Chants. You need a Tribble. Maybe you should consider your own opinions before judging someone else’s. Your a hypocrite and bias to your own thoughts and opinions. Some people say your a snowflake for that others think you add to what’s wrong with the world. I , I just think your over opinionated and you should know that no one cares about your opinion to that great a detail but more then you will respect it wether it’s skewed or not. Proper Jack ass
Khan was in suspended animation for 270 years, woke up to a civilization that had advanced almost 3 centuries, and was still a dangerous foe. If someone from the 1700s were to wake up today and totally understand our technology, wouldn't you think he was pretty smart?
Plus...Guinan was more or less Picard's teacher in most of the hardest moments in his life. She is for sure in the top 5 smartest characters in all of the shows combined. I feel like this is more of a list of favorites.
I bet the Founders are pretty smart and through the great link, the female founder from DS9 would have the combined intelligence of them all. Plus, as much as it pains me to say. Wesley Crusher is probably the most intelligent recurring human character on Star Trek.
I think you are misunderstanding the difference between omniscient and omnipotent. The first means he knows everything, and the second means he can do anything. Q is omnipotent. I believe he says so himself several times in the series. Just because he can do anything doesnt mean he is the smartest.
Are we talking about the "Q"? In one episode, he said he has an IQ of 2000 - probably joking. In another episode, another Q said that "the Q" is extremely bored and desperately seeking fun. He definitely did not want to foresee everything.
@@seanhsiung5080 Funny how the Q imprisoned a suicidal member of their continuum(Quinn) in an ice coment to prevent his suicide, yet the comet was found by a certain lost federation vessel and freed the suicidal Quinn. 1:52 It's not the ninth degree. It's the Nth degree. It refers to a value which has been raised to a very high level. In this case it refers to Barclay's IQ.
Why was Bashir left out?! He’s smarter than Kirk for sure... Also; Janeway. No! Her victory over the Borg Queen is questionable. She might have doomed the federation, should the Borg recover, since she gave them future anti-borg technology. Top 3 was probably true though. What about Odo?
That future tech came from 2404, Picard is set in 2399 so Janeways starting point was just five years ahead of that. So even if the Borg reemerge in the near future of Picards setting they will not have a huge advantage from receiving that anti Borg tech.
DrewLSsix True. But Janeway couldn’t know the Borg wouldn’t reemerge until after 2399. She still put the federation at risk just to save some of her crew.

Sorry, but it's driving me crazy...this should read as: The Binars were (and continue on with an invalid claim) They were not smart enough to actually ask for help! A truly intelligent person can recognize their own shortcomings, and then ask someone to help them correct said problems.
Guinan? OK she knows how to mix all those different drinks. I'll drink to that. But what about Gary 9, the telepathic "Cage" aliens, the Organians, General Trelanes species (or are they 'Q?), the traveller, the aliens who abducted Kirk and crew for the OK Corral showdown, the one who abducted Kirk to pit him against the Gorn, "God" from the center of the universe and whoever imprisoned him, the list goes on.
This list is utterly stupid, and this guy seems lazy, he makes mistakes like the Nth Degree episode, etc... Honestly I hate this video, this guy leaves out a lot of much smarter characters....
So Data is top of the line, like some electronic wonder from Japan. While Bender is your typical lazy, high IQ, and low potential slacker from the State!
I always had this theory that the Q were formed with V'ger and Decker combining. The reason they are all called Q is because they are essentially the representation of one persons "mind".
Wesley Crusher. He demonstrated his intelligence over many seasons of Star Trek TNG. Some episodes would include specific instances of him using his intelligence to save members of the crew (including his own mother). Even The Traveler”, also not mentioned in this video (?), discussed this with Captain Picard.
In one episode of TNG there was a planet like a paradise. Everyone there was running almost all the time, it was all green and beautiful, the people were super kind like angels. In orbit around that planet was a multidimensional being/object, which was considered as god by the people on that planet. It should be on this list, probably as #2. There are other beings as well.

So Scottie is here, but no mention of O'Brian who had to make incompatible techs work together. Or ya know Torres who had no access to Starfleet for new parts, or a starbase. I 100% agree with your assessment for Janeway. If you just take Voyager for what it is and don't compare it to anything else, Janeway was a phenomenal captain who consistently championed her crew, and others around her - regardless of the effect it would have on her. Plus, when you think about everything Voyager went through in the Delta Quadrant, it's really amazing that it got back home. Plus, when you are 'Public Enemy No. #1' to both the Borg and the literal Time Police, and win every engagement against them - you're really badass
Well for a few: 1) O'Brien is smarter than Scotty. He is penned as being the only person to successfully make human and cardassian tech work together 2) Dax. Multiple lifetimes of knowledge and experience put Dax (and any other Trill) above alot of people on this list 3) Wormhole Aliens: Being able to transcend time and a whole bunch of other shenanigans must put them up there as being intelligent.
Might I point out, that depending on some aspects of the term “character” you missed V’ger, at least even as an honourable mention. After all it’s clearly stated of what the entities purpose and drive in ‘life’ was...”learn all that is learnable, transmit that information to its creator”...and it was encountered back to earth to deliver that. Even stating “it amassed so much knowledge, it’s achieved sentience itself”... Should at least rank an honourable mention
John Bockelie but in so doing attained sentience... Would also depend on which aspect of “smart” you’d go for Raw intelligence/information and knowledge vs the capacity and awareness to utilise it

Doc from Voyager should've got a shout out. He had to become more then his program and he did just that.

The Doctor probably has the entire knowledge of Voyager's data banks at his command as well, and can probably access them as easily as we do our own memories. And yes 7 of 9 should also have been up there as well.

Seven is literally quoted in show as being the most intelligent human that has ever lived. Well done lol.
My thoughts exactly! Most intelligent human that also possesses all the knowledge of the borg up until her connection was severed.

Naw Data is more intelligent.
Simply because Data is my favourite character.
Austin Hovey Yep. They also show that when he is off station the station doesn’t function!
Indeed, Dr Bashir was engineered to be at that level. But I guess it was a retcon later in the series anyway.
He's probably still in a corner of a transporter room, dozing off.

Shinobi 28 I love that episode. It’s like the TNG episode conspiracy. There’s so much tension. Awesome.
In an episode where Data loses his memory on a medieval-age planet, he literally discovers and finds a CURE for cancer in a few days using nothing but primitive tools.
It was for radiation he brought into the planet.
Shut up Wesley
That's because he was a Mary Sue.
Smart but no flaws. We are told to love him instead of letting him be loved naturally from actions or writing.
Why couldn't they give him a girl friend or talks with Picard or mother that didn't start with them pissed off and ending "Wesley shut up?'
Plus there was the crap like Picard making him an ensign without ever attending the Academy.
Actor was cute though. Just was bad writing for him.
Harry Kim literally says to Seven of Nine her knowledge from the Borg probably makes her the smartest human alive. And she doesn't even make the list?
what about Dax? she/hes WAY smarter than kirk who shouldnt even be on this list.
heck...Wesley Crusher is smarter than most of these.

Maisie Summers He did not fake emotions, he had them. He outsmarted her, because he overcame those emotions.

@Eduardo Mendez Yeah, but where Data is considered. He was built by his creator, but on his own and as a member of the Enterprise, he was constantly becoming more human.
For all that intelligence, it didn't compute that HUMANS were the creator.
Does nobody understand what RECURRING ROLE means? V'ger was in one movie.
I'm truly sorry, but I can't help but fundamentally disagree with some of the omissions from this list.

with little knowledge, you won't be able to be intelligent.

Picard is less fiery... except when he's bitching at Wesley.
Yes because they could phase out of this reality with the power of their minds. Pretty sure Data though quite smart would not be capable of that.
The borg aren’t a species dude. They’re numerous different species in one singular collective.

I LOVE your new channel. I just hope it gets the traction it needs to keep you guys investing in it
Given the huge number of flaws and wrong information they've had on it already, its not going to last unless they get some writers who actually know anything about Star Trek.
KrimetT StarKiller Straws still bigger then yours but thanks for your response.

So Data and Bender have the same storage space on their hard drive. Benders is just full of porn.
So Data is top of the line, like some electronic wonder from Japan. While Bender is your typical lazy, high IQ, and low potential slacker from the State!
@@hackman669 Another way to look at it is Bender is a 30th century Microsoft product. Data is 24th a century product from Apple.
unpopular opinion time... what about hoshi sato from enterprise she could literally learn any language just by listening to it for an hour or so.
I always had this theory that the Q were formed with V'ger and Decker combining. The reason they are all called Q is because they are essentially the representation of one persons "mind".
Wesley Crusher helped save the Enterprise even while he was drunk.
Of course people from What Culture wouldn't know the difference between wisdom and intelligence. I guess it's a dump stat for them.
GERALD MILLER Shut up Wesley
Wasn’t it the Binars who upgraded the enterprise computer ??!! (And also stole it)
But they weren't intelligent enough to actually ask for help.
I would have included 7 of 9 and removed Guinan. Guinan was only wise because she was so very old and well travelled, not due to intelligence per se.
the anti-DS9 bias is real...
I remember that one! Wesley was almost executed in that episode.
Dax (or really any joined Trill) is insanely smart
That would be more the symbiont that would be the main intellectual entity rather than the host trill.
@@freddiejohnson6137 well, I' say that the joined entity is smarter, tho
@@mckenziecalhoun316 yes but most of that still comes from the symbionts centuries of experience rather than the host. So it would only really be the older symbionts that are vastly intelligent as opposed to the ones joining for the first time.
@@freddiejohnson6137 that is indeed true, but I was referring to the fact that you also have to be extremely intelligent to be joined amd thst without the hosts the sysmbyonts wouldn' t become as intelligent or be intelligible by other humanoids
@@mckenziecalhoun316 then that would "Dax" out as Ezri was not in that category before being joined Jadzia and perhaps Cuzon before her from the limited knowledge of a diplomat of him we were given, but it is a difficult one to quantify as we were really only given one or two examples of joined trill and even fewer of how great even Jadzia's intellect was overall. In the end she was seen more as a female Worf with the amount of fighting she done and less use of her intellect.
No Hoshi Sato?!?! I call shenanigans.
Totally. She developed Earth's original universal translator and was so gifted at languages that she could pick them up before the translator in a lot of cases.
How about T’Pol! Plus she’s smoking hot! And Seven! Also smoking hot! I like brains and beauty!
Damn yeah!
Your kinda of defeating the purpose of smartest characters if the are based on how sexy they are.
Attractive. Physically fit. Intelligent....and the warmth and personality of an icecap. Yeah, have fun with that.
I believe that Jadzia Dax and Miles Obrien should also have received an honorable mention.
Data: 100K Tb of Storage
Input: US Election Process and results
Output: System crash, blue eyes of death, illogical, illogical, illogicallllll!!!!!
actually datas memory capacity is 8 quadrillion bits, cursed be my selective eidetic memory!
I was going to wonder if 100TB is all that much storage.
Another entertaining video, thanks! 🖖
What about Wesley?
He must shut up.
@@-maxveleno- Why?
@@-maxveleno- YES!
@@fitnessoni7881 Yes to what?
It's an old gag from an episode. In that episode Captain Picard yells at him "Shut up, Wesley!" Most of the fan of Star Trek TNG hated Wesley, and often that scene went used for laughing at him.
Q has been my favorite since I first saw the premiere in 1987, “Mission at Farpoint.”
I believe it was called “Encounter at farpoint”
For Geordi Laforge to be off this list is CRIMINAL!!!
Mike J I was going to say that myself. It’s a travesty of justice
@@batgurrl I'd say spelling his name wrong it up there too... Its Geordi. Not Jordi.
John Whitehouse okay mr perfect. Shoot me for making a mistake
@@johnwhitehouse4546 you may want to check the cracks in the glass house you're throwing stones out of bud.
So Scottie is here, but no mention of O'Brian who had to make incompatible techs work together. Or ya know Torres who had no access to Starfleet for new parts, or a starbase. Naw Torres just managed to keep Voyager running despite what Janeway put it through. Before Seven showed up, Torres was constantly portrayed as the most outside the box thinker not to mention intelligent.
Also where's Dax? You're really gonna tell me that Janeway was the most intelligent woman (besides the Borg Queen) in Star Trek history? Naw.
Okay.. making a top 10 smartest list and leaving out Reg, Quark, Bashir and Geordi from that list? Its that kinda crap why this channel is getting low viewing numbers.
Whoever is writing these lists clearly knows nothing about Star Trek and probably isn't even a fan if they think this list is right.
Quark, that guy that a owned bar who was constantly foiled by the local constable and constantly manipulated by his family and random strangers? That guy? The guy that eats bugs and demands his mom be naked around him? Sure.
Geordi... sorta, Broccoli, ehh. Bashir yeah, probably should have made it.
@@zaatas Quark who advised and became Grand Nagus for a time, brokered trade deals between the Gamma and Delta Quadrants, put together rescue plans the federation said couldn't be done, including Operation Return which led to the combined Starfleet and Federation space battle against the Dominion, cheated death on numerous occasions because of his smarts, single handedly brokered deals with gave equal rights to ferengi women and a bunch of other stuff thats culminated in him having a galaxy spanning commercial empire?
Video/list begins at 2:20
Lost ALL credibility when you list Janeway. Strong arguments for worst actress in the history of Hollywood and TV.
Scotty must be a genius to be able to program the computer he's seen for thirty seconds with the formula for transparent aluminum (not to mention mistaking the mouse for a microphone on a computer that is NOT voice activated!).
Really enjoying this channel so far!
Wesley Crusher was always considered a boy genius and that was before he even transcended (or whatever it was happened to him) with the traveller
I'm laughing at the superior intellect.....That quote just came to mind. Great video. Thanks.
Spock raising his right eyebrow and saying "Fascinating", while the rest of the bridge panicked, wasn't even scripted. First used in The Coebomite Maneuver, Leonard Nimoy threw it in as an ad lib.
1. Q
2. The Guardian of Forever
3. Trelane
4. V 'Ger
5. The Caretaker
6. Data
7. Lore
8. Spock
9. Bashir
10. Seven of Nine
now that's more like it! Mind you, there's also Noonian Soong, Gary Seven, Nomad, the Traveler, Yarnek, Ayelborne the Organian... there's lots!
@@austenbach3356 The organian should be second.
Star Trek were everyone is Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne. Hell they take calculus in grade school
Well for a few:
1) O'Brien is smarter than Scotty. He is penned as being the only person to successfully make human and cardassian tech work together
2) Dax. Multiple lifetimes of knowledge and experience put Dax (and any other Trill) above alot of people on this list
3) Wormhole Aliens: Being able to transcend time and a whole bunch of other shenanigans must put them up there as being intelligent.
What about the Binars, the Talosians, the Cytherians, and of course, the Pakleds
V-GER was just doing its mundane job it was sent out to do. Gather information.send it back.
John Bockelie but in so doing attained sentience...
Would also depend on which aspect of “smart” you’d go for
Raw intelligence/information and knowledge vs the capacity and awareness to utilise it
What does Ilia have to do with the list?
@@GabePuratekuta who before you ever mentioned ilia?
@@trayolphia5756 The OP mentioned V'GER. That means Ilia now.
What about v-ger and Flint...
Flint has lived "lifetimes" as Methuselah, Solomon, Lazarus of Bethany, Alexander the Great, Leonardo da Vinci, Brahms, and many others
Technically speaking, the Borg queen is like the queen bee while the Borg in general are like the bees that the Borg queen controls even though they work as a collective.
