    1. Xylitol after meals
    2. Closys Ultra Sensitive mouth rinse before brushing. Half of what the bottle recommends to use.
    Use for ONLY one minute.
    3. Resilient dense tooth brush with good brissels.
    4. Crest cavity prevention tooth paste.
    5. Start brushing by brushing on the inside of teeth on bottom, massage gums.
If going to floss, do it right after brushing with toothpaste still on the teeth.
    6. Let toothbrush dry for 24 hours before uses.
    7. Rinse with Listerine cool mint or original. Original is tiny bit more powerful.
    Always use full strength.
Rinse as long as you can stand it, even if only for s second.
    8. Rinse with Act mouthwash zero alcohol Anti-cavity. Purchase smaller bottles, not larger. Larger have more water in them than the smaller bottles.
Best to rinse for a minute.

I saw this video about 2.5 weeks ago. I have really bad tarter build up and plaque. I am 72 years old, and have a lot of gum recession and bone loss. After you explained exactly what to do, I bought the products you recommended and started a twice a day regimen. Shortly, a few days later my teeth started to feel extremely smooth and “nice”. Just like they have always felt after a cleaning. I had just started a 4 month recall for cleanings because my mouth was such disaster 4 months ago. My pockets were deep and when the hygienist cleaned my teeth I had a lot of bleeding and sensitivity. So, I know you do not recommend teeth cleaning, but I had this scheduled and just wanted to see if my 2.5 weeks on this plan made any real difference. Well, to my excitement, my hygienist couldn’t get over the improvement and wanted to know everything I’ve been doing. I told her, but I didn’t really tell her it had only been 2.5 weeks. She said keep doing this. She said I had no bleeding, my plaque was non-existent! I actually didn’t tell her I had not flossed for 2.5 weeks either, but I intend to. All I can say is THANK you from the bottom of my heart. I’ve never had “good” teeth, my moth is full of crowns and recession, but I finally feel like I am doing the right thing and it really showed up so quickly. Everyone should do your Complete Mouth Care System twice a day and see the difference! ( and don’t wait until your 72)!!

@SueHagen1. You used the complete system, including Listerine, twice a day? I’ve been following the system 1x/day for the last few weeks but think it may be beneficial to use it 2x/day since I have a history of pockets. Thanks

@@nickt.7305 Last thing before sleeping is essential and ideally about 12 hours later - at some time during the day is the best time for that x2 daily use of this system. Don't forget the Zellis/xylitol after meals and try to not eat or drink for at least an hour or two afterward. The reason for x2 is that immature (baby) plaque bacteria grow into longer more challenging plaque bacteria within 12 hours. You want to take care of them before they make this change.
Check out this video - it shows plaque growing on celan teeth. Watch at the start of the video (16 hours after cleaning teeth) and then toward the end of the video ( 22+ hours) and you will probably decide that using my system twice a day is worthwhile :) th-cam.com/video/q26YhisTg7U/w-d-xo.html

Waiting on a my full tubes of Crest and the Closys to arrive but so far I've learned more about how to brush and maintain my mouth here than anywhere else. #1 Tooth decay food; High fructose corn syrup carbonated drinks in combination with bleached white flour pizzas, especially ones with a dense crust. @@Bawkrhi, dentist here. Your dentist doesn’t tell you this because this is not what they studied. And even if I study this, what sounds like good information I cannot practice this in my clinic as we are supposed to follow “evidence based dentistry” according to NHS England. This is done so if and when we are taken to court (more people love to do this than you can imagine) we have something to back us up. Maybe if I am working in India my hometown I can wholeheartedly put this into my practice with patients.. so no point blaming dentists really. This lady here is very passionate and I respect her for the difference she’s making but it’s not all common sense in our world.

I made this note for myself & hubby... so thought it would be useful for someone.
    CLEANING TEETH
    WHEN?
    - 1. Right before you go to sleep. No eating drinking after.
    - 2. Time when you know you won’t eat/drink for another hour. (Great if there can be under 12 hours between the cleans.
    HOW TO CLEAN?
    1. Begin with mouthwash CloSYS - FOR 1 MINUTE ONLY! Tiny sherry glass amount. Bathe from side to side... tip head forward/sideways so all the difficult areas are ‘bathed’... no need to squish or flush, it will run down where it needs to as you bathe the teeth fully. (If ‘pockets’... bathe gently and mouth will do the work - don’t follow instructions on bottle, follow Dr Ellie.). Then spit out.
    2. Wet toothbrush, add 2 peas of toothpaste then small circles on the gums where root is. (If you decide you have to floss use it at this stage so it drags the toothpaste through the gaps in the teeth.
    3. Wash your toothbrush and stand up so it dries well!
    4. Spit out the blob of toothpaste (don’t wash off with water).
    5. Now rinse with Listerine Cool Mint (or Original which is a tiny bit more powerful) only: If too sensitive, rinse for long as you can stand it, don’t dilute it even if you can only stand it for a second! If it starts burning spit it out (you will build up tolerance and be able to rinse longer as you go on to 30/60 seconds). Squish in and out between teeth (it is liquid floss 😊).
    6. The moment it starts to burn, wash it off with ACT for ideally 1 minute (the most important mouth rinse).

I started her routine and I can not believe what has happened- I only wish I took a before and after picture of my teeth - bleeding gums and cavities - today you would not believe how they repaired naturally - Thank you so much for teaching the truth!!! You have been such a blessing and I encourage everyone - especially us who are terrified of dentists - to start this routine. It doesn’t take long - no more than 5 mins - morning and night.

No plaque build up ever! I wake up with no morning breath but that could be also due to my diet. I have had some receding gums and one of them was in the front and it’s literally slowly growing back to its normal place! I had a sensitivity on one of my back tooth’s but not any more after being consistent with this regiment. I’m so happy with the results!!. I have been struggling with sensitivity and gum recession for a while. It’s not too bad but it worried me for a long time and now thanks to Dr. Ellie i have a better teeth regiment than ever before. So happy that you were able to make the move to a new idea.
This is very hard for a lot of people who have been brainwashed since they were children to simply "accept" the dogma of dentistry - even crazy ideas that have no scientific backing!
If your DDS or RDH is truly interested in "how" your change occurred, my book Mouth Care Comes Clean is a good read for a dental professional.
My first book Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye can be more difficult (not just because of the title - but it is more a "story" for people to know about the background that created this system). Mouth Care Comes Clean is about biology of the mouth that was discovered in 2007 by the Human Microbiome Project and how this SHOULD have changed the way dentistry is practiced.

    • @dr.elliephillips
      @dr.elliephillips  ปีที่แล้ว +48

@ChauNguyen-fw2hz When you have healthy oral biofilm it is protective of our gum, tooth and mouth tissues. It is a bulletproof film composed of proteins and healthy bacteria designed to coat our entire mouth and protect it from chemical, thermal and biological attacks - especially to protect from the chemistry of foods, temperatures (hot and cold) of drinks and foods and from cavity and gum disease bacteria.
Certain products (baking soda, artificial whitening and peroxide) literally dissolve this protective coating off our mouths.
Dry mouth will also damage this coating. Long periods of sipping acidic drinks - soda or sports drinks - or for women being pregnant when their saliva pH becomes acidic for 9 months - are all reasons to loose this biofilm protection. Smoking of course will also damage it...which is why smokers have periodontal issues and dry mouth problems.....
The key it to rebuild this biofilm. Zellies at the end of meals will alkalize your mouth.
Then if you do not eat or drink for 1-2 hours the xylitol will feed the good bacteria and enable them to rebuild this biofilm covering.
My Complete Mouth Care System helps rebuild this biofilm covering - working in synergy with xylitol.
You need every product in the system - exactly - and in the correct sequence - for this to work.
For people who experience "burning" from Listerine - it indicates they have lost this protective covering.
The system will rebuild it - and this will take from days to weeks to months - depending on your immune system health and your general speed of healing.
If you are an unhealthy smoker who eats a poor diet and is taking many medications - this may take some time.
if you are a healthy person who simply had a few bad habits ( whitening teeth or using baking soda paste etc for example) then your turn around time may be a few days.
The secret is to only use the Listerine up until it "burns" - and then spit out - and rinse with the ACT.
Ensure you have the toothpaste residue on your teeth - just spit out the big glob of toothpaste and let the Listerine wash the rest of the toothpaste off your teeth.
Squish the Listerine in and out between your teeth - but only until you fee the "heat" and then spit it out.
Time this if you can - and you will see the time it takes to feel "hot" will extend gradually.
This is your sign that you are developing healthy biofilm.
Do not forget that most of the work is done by xylitol after meals - when your saliva flow is full of proteins after meals.
The system is just the icing on the cake......please let me know if this helps explain how to achieve the results you want.
Brush lower than the grafts and on the inside areas of your teeth if you are nervous to brush on top of the grafts.
You could even use a clean cloth and use your finger to do some gentle massage over the grafts.
The massage is to "call" stem cells to the area - to regrow and heal these wounds.
if you need more help from me - I have an oral health bootcamp at my website DrEllie.com that you may find useful.

This system works!!!! I do not know Dr. Ellie or any of her family and I don't have an ownership in any of the products she recommends. I cannot believe the changes in my gums and teeth. For years, I had a deep pocket in the top of my mouth between two teeth. I could not eat anything, especially salads and meat without food being trapped in that pocket. It was uncomfortable to say the least and I needed to floss that area immediately after eating. I also had a pulsating feeling in that area, sometimes worse than others and I just knew I would have to be pulling one of those teeth sometime soon. I also had gum recession in my lower gums and had a definite brown line below my teeth revealing the recession. Well, guess what? I tried Dr. Ellie's cleaning system, and that pocket has seemed to have closed itself up. No kidding! I don't even have to floss between the top teeth that had the pocket anymore and there is no more pulsing pain. I suppose my gums improved there and helped to close up that pocket. I even have noticed hardly any tartar buildup since I started her system. I decided to cancel my last cleaning. My gums on the bottom teeth that I mentioned, grew also to almost completely cover up that brown line showing. It's hard to believe that Dr. Ellie's system works, but it does! I would suggest you try it and don't give up and you will see the changes in your mouth. I would also like to recommend the Soft, Parodontax complete protection toothbrushes. They are very full, soft and the ergonomic handle doesn't slip easily like most toothbrushes. I get mine at Wal-Mart. They come 2/pack. Can't remember the exact price but I think they're $6ish.

Now one month since using this system. The turn around in my dental health is so dramatic that, even after only four weeks, it’s hard to remember that my mouth was in the poor and deteriorating condition it was in. Main issue was receding gums accompanied by increasing sensitivity, to the point where my teeth felt weak. If I ate anything hard or crunchy, it almost felt like my teeth would break. But after a month on this system all sensitivity is completely gone. My teeth feel incredibly strong. I can crunch on anything and feel not even a hint of sensitivity. My gums are pink. Can’t say any receding gums have restored. But my gums have a different look, like they are more relaxed. My teeth look and feel incredibly clean. My mouth feels and smells so clean. No bad tastes or odors, just the taste of saliva. And my mouth now seems to be producing more saliva. I cannot be more grateful for Dr. Ellie and this system.

Congratulations - this is such great news. This system works best for a “healthy” person as it is stimulating your own mouth to heal itself.
But the good news is that this system works for everyone - even people who smoke or have poor digestive health for example. These individuals have more challenges to overcome so they may have to wait a week or two longer for the same results.
In almost all cases gums and dental decay will be healed (or substantially improved) within 3- 6 months - so it’s perfect to use this system between dental visits.
The only time it won’t work is if someone has a dead tooth. There is no way to bring a dead tooth back to life!
Thanks so much for your comment and feedback. Once again I’m so happy you tried this - congratulations!

I love you. I love you so much. I have thought that my dentists were nuts for a while. They say, "floss more" and I do and it irritates my gums. They say "get a water jet", I do and it's ok but not the best. They clean my teeth twice a year and my teeth are getting worse. I went 10 years without seeing a dentist and my teeth (and gums) were not this bad. I tell them this and they say, "well you should really get your teeth cleaned 3 times a year". But somehow I went more than 10 years and my pockets remained the same, then I come under dentist care and in 2 years my pockets get so bad that I need a "flap" or "LANAP". That's when I came to TH-cam searching for other options. I will come back after I have tried your methods.

@@dr.elliephillips you are welcome. It’s time and energy consuming to release material like you have, and be revising it as your research grows.
IE your theory of how relative levels of exposure to flouride are substantial or not.

Some countries have water systems so fluoridated that it is more than enough simply through water in product and from the tap (faucet, if you will) or ground supply.

What you say here about teens who don’t brush made me think “a minimal care” video for people with not enough “spoons” for dental hygiene would be very popular. (For people with depression and CFS, too!) Not being able to keep up with oral hygiene affects people’s mood, self confidence, etc. This education would be so appreciated by these communities! Do you live in the United States?
Here it is very easy to get the products I recommend - most of them are in Walmart - or you can get through Amazon.
Just be sure to get the exact products.
I have a free downloadable booklet on my website at DrEllie.com
There are links to the products there.
Begin with xylitol at the end of meals - either Zellies mints or you can use granular ( which is less expensive but I don't sell - so you will have to go to a health store or Amazon to find).
Get the correct Crest paste ( $1.95) and start there - using the paste twice a day.
It works in synergy with the xylitol.
You can start this program like this if necessary and see improvements - if you stop eating and drinking between meals and always clean your gums and teeth before sleeping at night. Even have a little xylitol after cleaning your teeth....let a few crystals dissolve on your tongue.....just see the difference this will make :)

I have had gingivitis and periodontal disease for 25+ years--and this is despite taking great care of my teeth. I have had painful periodontal surgeries to stop & repair the damage caused by pathogens. X-rays show the extensive loss of bone from the chronic infection--very discouraging. The surgeries have stopped the damage, as has the use of a Braun Oral-B toothbrush (which has been critical to my recovery). Yet my dental health is still below what I want. I have been a label reader for many years and was hesitant with the products when I started this almost 2 weeks ago. But after this updated video, you've eased my fears about the coloring, fluoride, etc. The benefits are so well worth it.
I was worried about my receding gum line, that's how I stumbled upon your video. I used to floss every night for years. I stopped flossing when I learned in another video of yours that it can damage the gums. Your system makes complete and total sense to me. And it so easy and quick. I love how clean my teeth feel now. Also my teeth are much whiter. I've always had stains from tea, etc.
I had a dentist appointment coming up in 2 weeks but postponed it today until March. I am excited to test this and see if my gum line improves. When I go for my check up I will probably ask them not to do the cleaning. At the dentist, scraping the tarter off my teeth was the worst. I am thinking I won't have to endure that anymore. I've been dreading a fourth extraction and implant. I have a tooth that is bleeding and painful. I started the complete mouth care system on 12/19/2023. In 1 week, the bleeding and pain stopped. It's now 2 weeks 01/07/24 and pain/bleeding is still gone! So far, I'm impressed with this and can't wait to see the results in 6 months! I use the children's/youth size toothbrush Dr. Ellie recommends, it's simply easier to massage with and brush each individual tooth.

This is a great video. Thank you! I love you Dr. Ellie! I found your channel about 6 weeks ago and your advice intrigued me. So 4 weeks ago I received my first order of Zellie's Dental Gum. I've been doing your recommended routine for 4 weeks and found it very easy to change my habits and follow your system. Today I put on my glasses so I can see and looked at my teeth in the mirror. I didn't expect to see such a dramatic improvement in just a short time but all my teeth and gums looks so much better. My mouth feels fresh all day, night and waking in the morning.
I was one of those people that no matter how much I brushed and flossed, every time I saw the dentist there was another cavity or crown or root canal. I spent many thousands of dollars trying to keep up. I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong as I did everything my dentist recommended for that last 50 years. Now I look forward to my next dental exam just to see what my dentist will say, but I think I will refuse the cleaning. Just maybe I won't need it. If only I had found you Dr. Ellie 50 years ago!

Dr. Ellie, you have made such a positive change in my dental health with your system. I started your system one year ago and gave it my full attention. I had pockets up to 6. I didn't share the information with my dental team. My dental hygienist was amazed at the changes and worked with me to point out areas I need to focus on. I told her about the plaque rinse and she was very positive. My pockets have reduced and I have one at 4 mm. I have minor bleeding in one tooth. I also feel my mouth is cleaner. My praise for you and this system. Thank you so much.🙏

Do you skip any steps in her systems like Listerine? Since it's 1. acidic, 2.might kill good bacteria along with the bad, 3. might stain teeth since it has coloring (i never understood why mouthwashes have coloring). I heard some dentists say Listerine is bad for teeth. I understand all steps in her system except Listerine

@@samanthal7051 I don't skip any steps. Original Listerine is harsh so I switch it with the Cool Mint . I haven't had any staining. This system creates more good bacteria to help reduce the bad bacteria.

I worked in dentistry USA for many years. They unnecessarily pulled teeth and did lots of root canals. I had many teeth taken out. Later I told a different dentist about the tests they used in the clinic, which shocked her. The dentist was burning teeth with redhot metal rod to cause pain, then saying pain meant they had to have root canal. His aim was to make over $1500 a day. My mouth is ruined by working for him. I was born well after sealants and xylitol were discovered, it was Never Ever recommended to me as a kid. I never had prevention. I need about 4 more implants at this point and probably fillings and veneers too. I believe my first filling at 10 years old was not even real. Its all profit motivated in USA. Its just a hard thing to realize.

If I were you, I’d still do this protocol as it is focussed on creating a healthy mouth biofilm … which is never a bad thing. Right? You still have some of your natural teeth to protect and now been given the means to do so?

I have tried many dentists in NY, PA and CT they just keep disappointing me. I want to go to Europe instead. My childhood dentist although very nice, never did anything preventative. I am not that old, I should have my teeth. It is insane. My upper left side is all missing too. I chew on a premolar mostly which is not good. Sorry you had such a rotten experience with your teeth and with that crook of a dentist.
I don't think he's at all representative of dentists in USA though, fortunately. I've had 5-6 dentists in different parts of the US over years and they were all decent to exceptional people. One of the big problems in healthcare, apparently including dentistry too, became more apparent during the past 3 years - the regulatory bodies, medical advisory bodies, medical journals where studies of what (allegedly) works/doesn't work are highlighted, and the professional organizations have mostly been captured - so can't be automatically trusted any more. Big pharma owns and controls most of them, thus it's hard for even sound protocols to change the standards of practice when doctors and dentists are (purposely) misled by the journals, etc. So, it's best to take nothing on blind faith these days and when something plausiblly effective and low/no risk and cheap comes along from what seems like a very credible source, try it for yourself. Hope this system helps you!

Ok, I’m back! So one week of following Dr. Ellies complete care system, my teeth have never been so clean! I wake up and there’s no plaque build up. Through out the day, there’s no plaque build up. Taking a xylitol mint is a game changer! If you don’t have zellies, an apple or an avocado like Dr. Ellie recommends at the end of your meals works well too I found. And! My teeth are way more whiter than using whitening toothpaste. I’m really impressed. This is definitely a game changer when it comes to dental health.
Some things I’ll be better at: is trying out the tooth brushes she recommended. I’m using up toothbrushes I have now and then when I’m done with those, I’ll be moving up to the ones recommended. I’ll also keep In mind about the buying cheap tooth brushes during travels and then getting fresh ones when you’re not traveling (I do have a trip coming up). Also I want to be better at not drinking anything an hour or two after you take a Zellie or after you brush your teeth to let the saliva do its Magic. I do weight training so when I’m a the gym, I guzzle a gallon of water. Is there any recommendations for weight trainers/gym goers when it comes to water and meals and teeth?
    I’ll update in a month!

Also if I flossed it was even my it actually was uncomfortable. I came across one of your videos and I purchase the items. I also bought your book and read it. About 3 weeks into using your system just once a day and I no longer have any blood that spits out or any discomfort. I do not floss. And I'm fully aware that you recommend twice a day. I talk for a living and my mouth gets to dry for me to give very much time at all in which I'm not drinking something. But my teeth feel so much better. My mouth feels so much better when I wake up. I agree it would be better to do it twice a day. But I am getting better and I am grateful for the information you provided.

I went to the dentist to try and have them cleaned but they said they couldn't do it at the regular office and wanted to refer me to a specialist. But I have a phobia of doctors and just going to ask about the cleaning was SO hard to do in the first place. It was so discouraging to be told I have to go to another new place and go through it all over again 😢. Should I go to the specialist or will your system help me? ordered all my stuff. going to try this. ty for the video.
EDIT: I posted this original comment 13 days ago. Here I am on a friday night coming back to tell you guys that this system seems to be working. I came here looking for answers because after years of untreated bruxism, acid reflux & horrible diet, my teeth have started to show wear & tear. One of my teeth has a chip in it now, and that has been incredibly stressful for me. I've been using Dr Ellie's system exactly as she teaches it here in this video. This includes the closys mouth bath, brushing with the toothbrushes and toothpaste she recommends starting from inner-back of the mouth to the front along the gumline, the yellow listerine and the ACT mouthwash. Also eating Zellie's after every meal (even after brushing at night b4 bed if Im hungry lol). My teeth are overall whiter, more opaque, the brownish plaque that was building up in between some of the teeth is disappearing, and my teeth feel stronger and are less sensitive to heat/cold. I can't undo the chip in the tooth (for now - hopefully i can get insurance to help me sort it out), but it's really helped my mental health to know that I'm doing all that I can do to fix the issue for now.
