  • This is a step-by-step Unwrapping tutorial of a Scene in Maya. This video is a part of making a 3D scene using Maya- ZBrush- Substance Painter. In this series I am showing the entire pipeline in detail Modeling-Unwrapping-Texturing-Rendering. If you go through the entire series I am quite sure that you will be able to make a 3D scene and your understanding will be strong. Only I am assuming you know the basic interface of Maya.

    Thanks so much for this tutorial, I've left 3D modeling for over 12 years since my degree, and coming back now it feels like I'm learning everything all over again. Some of the techniques you taught wasn't even covered in my course back then, and thank you for going over the techniques step by step. A mere 30-min video took me 2 days to finish, but every time I stop at a checkpoint, it feels like I have achieved mountains! And yeah, I finally can say that I understand how UV works now.

    Very helpful, thank you so much! can i ask you if, during the uv transfer process, there's a difference between an object being a duplicate and one that is an instance? if roof tiles were instance of a main one, would the transfer process still need to be done?
    I'm not a native english speaker, hope my question was understandable :)

    • @Trimitkala
      @Trimitkala  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your idea is good. It could be instance objects and in that case you could only unwrap the one and it's done for all. In that uv transfer is not needed. 🙂

    I believe the checkerboard should be consistent through out the entire scene right? Otherwise you'll get different texture resolutions

    From lesson 2 to lesson 3 all, I noticed that all your objects/models are subdivided, how come? Did I skip something or you just didn't tell about it? You did all manually or with script?

    • @Trimitkala
      @Trimitkala  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Anywhere you want smooth preview to see the object you can smooth the model in 1subdiv level. I did it manually.
