    Dude what a sick video, love the training room edits. Shows everyone how to analyze their own replays too, this kind of stuff really makes you improve.

    I love that when you mention something you could have done different or better, you throw in a clip of that alternate scenario. It's so useful as someone trying to learn.

    Based on the intro, i have to say this is my problem in fighting games, or in life in general. I really can't control myself after repetitive frustration, for the fact that its repetitive... The thinking of "Why this is happening again, why things didn't go better?" really f*cks me up. I'm on my way to get masters of even legend in SF6 after getting back to the game and maybe i'll improve in this, so i can finally try some tournaments.
    Anyway, i respect and admire you Dia, love your content and i'm hoping for your shining winning at Evo one day, keep it up!

      Ill give some things to think about to help on this.
      Its really easy to harp on yourself about failing. Everytime you succeed at something, it can feel like that's "how you should be playing," and everytime you fail, it can feel devastating toward the effort you put in to be better. You must learn to reward the smaller victories as well.
      To help do this, make sure you are SPECIFIC about what you failed at. It isn't good enough to say "you lost" or "youre not climbing." Make it as specific as you can. Something like "In neutral, when I play Ed, Im not reacting with DP when the opponent is midscreen." This will help you notice the ACTUAL problem and will give you direction on how to fix it.
      Even once you do this, it wont be anywhere near immediate. There are steps to implementing things in your gameplay. Brian F actually has some pretty good videos about this. Youll start off by remembering it after you failed it, attempting to do it but failing, doing it sometimes, and then doing it most of the time. Dont beat yourself up. Its all part of the process

    • @asmodyan
      @asmodyan หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheBirdVann Thanks for the advice but... i already do this a lot 😅 And i can say its probably because of this that i get so pissed. I know what i'm failing, i know how to NOT fail again and if i still end up failing, i get mad. I like to be consistent at things i do, so on the same way i hate when i'm consistent at losing, at doing things wrong.
      It's not something that bad actually, it's just that i need time to improve at this and relaying on RNG and Time (mostly) to improve at something is not what i personally like or want, but its inevitable so it is what it is

    This is some of the most helpful street fighter content I've seen, the training mode replays and discussion of strategy/decision making in smaller interactions. I never would've thought to jump in vs aki with her fireball out but it makes sense. Also Caba's jump backs vs delay tech are really interesting. Thanks for the video :)

  • @noijed1

    you can venomous fang Akumas air fireball and it works at most ranges other than directly in front of you. you can do it on reaction since both his fireball animations stall him in the air long enough to let you get it off. if hes too close and you whiff it then it gives you a ton of space by diving to the other side anyways. wouldnt recommend doing if you have akuma cornered because on whiff hes in range to punish. upvote to let the aki army know

    as a guile main i respect caba's play a lot, and i usually feel favored in the aki matchup as guile as well, so you deserve double congratulations for overcoming both! super informative breakdown of your excellent play, thank you! best of luck at Evo, i'll be watching for you on the streams. i hope you'll cover the new GBVSR patch that'll be playable there as well... i've really been hoping for a more even tier list as we head into 1.5 as the game is so easy to recommend to newcomers otherwise

    21:11 Dunno if anyone's pointed it out yet but Aki can punish -12 sweeps (like Akuma's) with sHP tc. He was poisoned there so you would have gotten a full combo into the kill for sure.

    i’m not sure if you talked about this in the full VOD; i think it might be helpful to viewers for you to mention that in both the caba n punk match, your “panic” (for lack of a better word) defensive option was teching the throw.
    i recently did a replay review of myself where i realized on defense i never jumped, i only used the up button as a neutral tool. and my panic option was just hitting delay tech when i ever wasn’t sure of the best option.
    i feel like identifying what your first instinct is is an underrepresented idea in videos about improvement in games.

    at 18:50 , medium sinister slide when he jump fireball and you go right under the fireball then for a standing heavy kick punish. Or if the space is right, jumping over the fireball and overhead when he lands are the two options that works for me. With that I haven't worry to much about Akumas Jump fireball. You should give it a try.

  • @Chuchuguitar
    @Chuchuguitar หลายเดือนก่อน

    The neutral jump in the corner is to bait you into doing something while he charges a for a Lvl 1 or lvl 3. He's hoping to catch you in the middle of an attack.

    Against akuma you can m slide under the air fireball into cr. Mk. I think except light air fb. It’s easy to time because as soon you see fireball you have time to slide and you can end up cross up depending on space. Into cr. Mk combo starter.

    Think delayed meaties is also because of parries. People do that in Turd Strike too, and it's just to avoid the wakeup parry but ofc like you said it opens you up to other things going for that.
