Great video. How strong were the winds? I live in the Chicago area and want to get the KIO hex beam but am a little worried with the winds, ice and snow we get. Thank you. de Rick KS9V
The wind at the time of the movie was about 42 mph, meanwhile the Hexbeam has withstood 72 mph without any problems. This antenna mainly consists of flexible arms and wire and is therefore lightweight and very storm resistant. The antenna must move in a storm. I know these antennas are used on Antarctica.
