Wouldn't have ended well for Anakin. When Anakin witnessed a full power Mace battling Palpatine it seemed as if Mace was blinking in and out of existence. Windu's speed and power would have overwhelmed him.
This book has some many “what if scenarios” imagine what if Anakin behaved himself with the council, and what if Anakin challenged Mace Windu for his seat, or what if Anakin waited Mace on the chambers or even what if Anakin played along with the Jedi just enough he was ranked Master. Too many what ifs.
It adds layers both to the story and character. Reality is never merely lineal. And sadly most people never manage to comprehend this in a full lifetime (incarnation).
I love it, so many things are happening. Even if he never fell and became Vader there are still many stories that could be told. Even if he doesn't fall, he still had so many things to be held accountable for. I love it.
I agree with the council tbh Anakin was too emotionally damaged to really be a Jedi Master. The best Masters never allowed their emotions to overtake their logic and allowed emotional and logical intelligence to intertwine with each other.
And the worst part is that everybody's instinctive reaction is to just agree with Anakin cause we empathize to a degree with his plight. Unfortunately the Jedi Masters while harsh were correct about Anakin being too compromised and too emotionally stunted in order to become a Jedi Master himself.
If Anakin had shown some humility and acceptance in being rejected, it would have begun to prove he was ready. For one thing, Anakin was still 22 at the time, that’s entirely too young to place him in such a position of authority when there are Jedi ten to twenty years older than him. Powerful though he was, he definitely did not have the seniority to request that level of prestige and leadership.
"Go ahead and Vaapad this" he was lucky that Obi-Wan saved his ass because he would’ve played right into Vaapad with all that hate and anger. Not to mention Windu's complete mastery over the swordsmanship of lightsaber combat.
You’ve gotta admire the stupidity of the council, intentionally pissing off Anakin and then asking him to spy for them. They really had no connection to human emotion despite being able to allegedly sense it
"Go and Vaapad this you." I laughed way too hard at this
Lmao
We are closer to Anakin than we think
He was already half Sith and didn't even know it.
"What?"
"What ain't no country I ever heard of. Do they speak English in what?"
Anakin was about the throw hands with Mace.

Even Anakin's dragon was scared of Mace.
Dude, the whole council was literally present, no need to analyze a full fight 😂@@factfiend1000

I disagree
