Thanks for the information, it is such a good video. We are tyring to import wooded products decor to United States but the ask us for the PPQ 585. Does anyone know if you can get the PPQ 585 certificate with a Virtual Business Address? We are an LLC and they told us that they need a permanent address in United States to obtain that certificate so we cannot import wood products to the United States. Anyone who can help us? i want to order a phone of around 100$ using AliExpress standard shipping from china to delaware, usa. Is there any document/id or formality is required at the custom clearance of USA or it would be automatically evaded and will reach to it's destination (warehouse). I am asking because i am non-us citizen and live in different country where AliExpress is banned. So, i am freight forwading it from usa to my country. I hope you understand my situation and provide me with solution or proper information about usa custom clearance formality.

Hi i am a little confused? I am about to place my first order from Alibaba and they charge for the freight cost. I thought that all i needed to do was place my order and pay for the shipping price they charge. Don't they take care of of shipping to my Wererhouse? She said " As we know express transportations does not include import customs duty, which needs to be paid by customers." So this is where i am confused? How do I pay custom duties since i am already going to pay for the shipping fee alibaba requests? I thought that was included with shipping all the way to California warehouse?

Hey Spencer, thanks for sharing your eCommerce knowledge with the community. When starting out, which fulfillment center location would you recommend? East or West Coast? FL, NY, CA? Or it doesn't really matter.
Like with most business decisions, it's an exercise of weighing out the opportunity costs of each. If $ is the most important, figure out which is the cheapest. If being able to check on your inventory or be physically close to it matters, then weigh that against the possible increase in cost/shipping time to customer. If having a dry climate for your products is important, weigh that out. Every decision you make to do something is ALSO a decision to NOT do something

sending products to usa from china is way too expensive cause of the trade war tariffs are SUPER expensive this will cut into profits after cost per purchase on social media
You can import more quality products from India.
Yet most things you buy today are still being made in China. If it's a tariff, it's a level playing field if everyone is still buying from China. If you can source it better from another country, that's a worthy option to explore!
