Brilliant video, and obviously relevant for us. Learnt so much with FTHRhood and following you for so long learnt a lot of what you say in this already. All going to help with our second brand launch. Our issue is as always funding. Life so tight that unable to re invest the small profit we make. I'd love to be able to afford initial stock or even samples for content, market testing but stuck with print.on demand and mock up imagery. But, as always, we keep pushing. Thankyou for making this and all the others.
Defining the product and market demographic is all important. I've been thinking about a clothing brand for AGES. I run a youtube channel and absolutely know from my video stats that my demographic is men over 50 interested in Motorhome Travel. What's my Dream? launch clothing brand featuring my "The Happy Travellers" youtube channel brand. and as long as I can make a modest retirement income I'd happily send ALL the profit to enabling older people own and use a motorhome to experience the joy of traveling. WOW, this video is excellent and has inspired me to write the above description. getting clarity at last...

I don’t have the funds, and I can’t rely on family support, but I’m determined to make this happen. Your journey motivates me to keep pushing forward. Thank you for inspiring dreamers like me!

I've been watching you Simon since I owned my business. At the moment, it was all gone and seem like I have lost the direction. I don't even know what is the next step to take, what is a better option to do. I lost my business, I unemployed but I still want to see your videos because I hope there will be one which can trigger me to start something new.
Simon, this video is exactly what I needed to see. I initially came to your page to watch the videos you had made podcasts from with other people and I came across this one. I've got a dream to design and launch a clothing brand with a real positive meaning. It's also got the possibility to grow into different markets and demographics. I'd love to speak to you about it.

The best most credible and most inspiring video on entrepreneurship I have seen so far. Great advice and practical steps to follow and implement. I am at 62 now even really considering going to launch a business again. Previously I have been into services and developed very specialised complex products geared at solving specific problems. Always worked my ass off without even considering marketing and sales. Just assuming a great product would sell itself. Then went into retail, selling vinyl records because I liked them, without even considering margins and costs. Man, had I listened to you before, it would have saved me a lot of trouble. The good thing is, I already have a great brand name that I could use for my new business. BTW, I noticed that you didn't talk about drop shipping. Why would you not consider that option for this new business? I would appreciate to get in touch! Again thanks for the great video!
I am currently doing Bachelors in Business I have to say I have learned lot of things from this video which my university failed to teach me and I am going to suggest your channel to my friends as well. Thank you Simon for making such informative content
Simon one thing, you tell people they can sell $5k of merch for a new ‘unknown’ brand but most people don’t have a huge follower base to instantly monetizes and access to willing collaborators. You said you marketed it your followers which would be warm to hot leads for anything you do. Feels disingenuous to ignore the biggest and most likely ‘important’ factor to success of brand which is visibility/reach. Do most brands fail not because their products are terrible but because they struggle to reach potential customers? Even harder without paid advertising. Also arn’t brands purchased because of their reputation and association which takes time, how do you get around this for a brand no one knows about and haven’t developed trust and brand loyalty. I’m interested in seeing you do this experiment with one of your followers and not use your network and see if it’s as simple. If you could pull it off I feel there would be more insights that would be more useful to viewers (myself included) who don’t have a network to leverage and have to build brand visibility from zero. To be balanced and not throw the baby out with the bath water I think you have great advice, this elephant in the video was bothering me.
@@tylerdryman exactly my thoughts! I started a new brand 2 years ago and I’m still struggling to market it since it’s new and I don’t have a follower base to support me.. it’s not easy!
Totally agree. I come from the fashion industries and already failed 2 brands that I started.because I was unable to actually build a BRAND that people are willing to buy in. Making and producing nice products is actually the easiest part. But really getting people buy into something unknown is hard as there exist so many nice fashion products out there. As a consumer, I am the same. I dont buy into newcomer brands when I can save up to buy me a nice known designer branded piece
Thank you very much Simon. True, what you have explained will work and be successful. I guess the challenge is in the few preliminary actions. that must come first. Very encouraging
Hi Simon, My key takeaways from your video are that a business concept isn't just about making money it's about heart and giving back. Ask ourselves why we do what we do, not just what we do. Sharing our because creates a deeper connection with the person we're speaking to. Thank you for reminding us that the heart of a business is giving and together, we can achieve more than we could on our own.

great video Simon, I was really impressed at the amount of time you spent listening to people at Ideas Fest a week or two ago. I am a typical introverted engineer that has solved a problem for the construction industry but am struggling with traction due to not getting the right message across through content. Lots of videos like this gloss over this area as I assume it is easy for people like yourself. Would love any advise on how to find the right message for potential customers.
Love this, I’m off straight away to go and add some follow up sales plans to people who purchase off our site. Offering them a different product, referring friends. These videos are amazing and I’d love to sit and chat for 30mins!! Keep up the amazing work!

Inspired by what you do💖 But aside from not having an idea on how to do it, I also have no money to start. So I was thinking I could start a business first. And it just happened that I decided for it to be a clothing brand business. Thank you so much Idol Squibb. Now, I think the only problem I have at present is that lack of self belief. I pray I could just step on this disgusting feeling.
That’s really awesome Simon, I would love to starts something like this and the purpose is to help my people who struggling from the war going on in Sudan there’s millions of people need help to get even food and the whole world looking the other way like there’s nothing happening. We are planning to open a coffee shop in each neighborhood of the city. Our aim is to start with the first location and gradually expand. The name of the business is "Kafeja e Lagjes," which translates to "The Neighborhood Cafe" in English. Our target customers are residents and offices located in the respective areas. We also plan to give back to the community, although the method of doing so is yet to be determined. Do you have any advice on what we should focus on before starting?

Simon saw the amount of money you could make as an influencer and said "hold my beer".
That being said, kudos for putting out legitimately amazing content for free. Win-win!

Simon! I was lost but always knew I wanted to started a business and instead of that I found a purpose ❤ and now I’m working on that purpose. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge hopefully in 3 years I can comment I already have my business functioning properly and most importantly changing the world with that main purpose 💕🙌🏻

Ask people what they think
Thank you so much Simon 😁
great video Simon, I was really impressed at the amount of time you spent listening to people at Ideas Fest a week or two ago.
We Underrated Individuals love your content. ❤❤❤❤
Great video mate 👌🏼👌🏼
Hello 18-30 year olds, buy my random shirt you have never seen before...

Great advice Simon. Got some ideas that needs starting. 🕺
This content is so timely!
I'm actually planning to start a venture capital firm here in the Philippines, Mindanao area.
Inspired by what you do💖
But aside from not having an idea on how to do it, I also have no money to start. So I was thinking I could start a business first.
And it just happened that I decided for it to be a clothing brand business.
Thank you so much Idol Squibb.
Now, I think the only problem I have at present is that lack of self belief.
I pray I could just step on this disgusting feeling.
As a video editor and graphics designer, this video made my life so easy, I’m gonna start right away 🎉❤
That’s really awesome Simon, I would love to starts something like this and the purpose is to help my people who struggling from the war going on in Sudan there’s millions of people need help to get even food and the whole world looking the other way like there’s nothing happening. But here in the Middle East in general it’s hard to start a business especially for us who living in Golf countries and not originally from there because you need a lot of money for the licenses and registration of the company before you start a business there.
I just wanted to share this with you I’m a big fan of yours hoping to meet you someday and why not doing business together.
The value you provide in these videos is incredible! However, I dont know if it's my mindset or or poor background, but £85 for a hoodie is soo expensive!
This came at the exact right moment for me! You are a very inspiring man!!!
I have sat and watched this video 4 times the past 3 days I am going to put these steps into action and set up a clothing brand. I will go through step by step and master the art of this skill. Thankyou Simon !

How about if you ae looking to launch a TV show? How can we apply it to this concept? Thanks
The practical tips you shared really resonate with me. It’s great to see advice that’s applicable to both personal growth and professional success.
So glad!
Thanks so much for this Simon! So much value in your content, love what you do and hope to meet you one day! ❤
